Really enjoyed our stay (apart from the weather!). Close to lovely beaches and nice pubs. The house and garden are perfect for two couples and young children. Would hope to return
Everything was absolutely spot on, what a lovely house . Everything was made easy for us from start to finish, we cooked a couple of nights and ell the equipment was there, so much attention to detail. Towels and bedding were luxurious and the whole place was spotlessly clean. We will definitely be back!
Property was very spacious & clean. Some of the bathrooms need a few small maintenance jobs and the garden needs to be weeded & checked before guests arrive.

Charter house let down by poor cleaning
The Charter house has excellent facilities and is ideal for 2 families
It is in a good location with plenty of eating choices
It has been let down by the poor standard of cleaning
We had to rewash all the crockery (suspect the dishwasher attention)
The ovens need a good clean
Shower needed cleaning
I would have given this property 10out 10 if it had been cleaned correctly

Lovely Property
We stayed for 10 days over February half term and we are returning customers to Norfolk Hideaways. Upon arrival the property was warm and ready for us, the key safe idea is brilliant. Local area is very nice, Walsingham farm shop only a 2 minute walk away, and a dog walk across the common only minutes away. Black Lion in the village is superb, the evening meal and the Sunday lunch are awesome and very good value.
The Chapter House is well equipped with a lovely open plan living area, bathrooms and bedrooms are all finished to high standard bedding and towels are also top end quality . Kitchen has everything you need for all daily meals, however the oven is rather small, cooking a large roast for 8 would be a challenge, but why would you want to be cooking on holiday!
Garden is secure for small children and dogs and would be a sun trap in the summer months and there is a set of patio furniture for use, sadly due to Storm Dudley and Eunice we didn’t bother with alfresco dining.
The Crab House in Wells is another great place to eat, you will need to book well ahead of your stay! Holkham Hall and it’s excellent facilities are only a short drive away and worthy of more than one visit!
All in all a great area to base any holiday. The owners of The Chapter House have thought of everything to make their property one of the best.

Fabulous property; disappointing details.
A beautiful house in a beautiful area - very well appointed . However , I suspect the owners would be disappointed to learn that small details let it down . The dishwasher is ineffective which meant I had to wash every mug ( badly stained ) , glasses and crockery . The welcome book says that a starter kit for the log burner would be left - it wasn’t . A starter dishwasher tablet was to be left - it wasn’t . It was irritating that there were no washing liquid on our arrival - this was our second week away and needed to use it instantly . There was no shower mat in the downstairs en-suite, nor was there a towel in the family bathroom. And yet there were two dog towels … The agents / cleaners are letting the owners down , we felt . Nevertheless, we had a lovely week .

Wonderful autumnal break
A superb open plan, modern styled conversion, with excellent kitchen and long table for dining, perfect for cooking and sharing large meals. Huge flat screen, log burner and seating area, all overlooking a pretty landscaped terrace and garden. A wonderful family space for a holiday. We have rented many houses and this was one of the most generously equipped. The two double bedrooms are superb, the two other bedrooms are small and beautifully laid out for young children, but the bunk beds weren't ideal for our teenagers (13-17 years) Easy drive to the coast, especially Holkham, Wells and Blakeney. We had a super holiday in the autumnal sunshine, thank you.

Open and airy family house
We had a great stay at Chapter House, the downstairs area was open and airy and was great to be open the back doors and still stay connected with the children in the garden. The location was great and its easy to get to numerous beaches and other tourist attractions. The bed linens were of high quality and for the first time in a rented property the kitchen had enough pots and pans in the kitchen to provide for the number of guests. I would definitely use Norfolk Hideaways again.

Lovely house lovely location
A lovely spacious house which has been well equipped & looked after - lots of little touches like dog treats & books for the kids
The garden is great with comfy sofas ( could do with an umbrella as it’s south facing ) .
The village is beautiful with a super bistro and farm shop 5 mins walk away .
Apart from the bi folds needing a bit of attention and a full length mirror needed in the master bedroom we couldn’t fault the place and would happily rebook

A home away from home ideal for families
We had a wonderful stay at the Chapter House. The cleanliness and the decor were wonderful, it was furnished with all the facilities you need for a family break and is just a short walk from a pub and farm shop and a short drive to the beach. I would recommend it to others and am already looking to book again. The garden would be amazing in the summer.
I think it works for 2 families if the children are very young, but one of the bunk beds is not ideal for older kids (very low but not an issue for us as we travelled as one family with three kids). If I had to find the one and only fault it would be that the master bedroom TV could do with updating but that's really picking holes in what was a fantastic stay. We really loved it.
