About this property
Family house 8-16 instead, peace and nature, swimming pool and park, pets
The location of Daran is particularly conducive for a vacation rental. Located on the hillside, the property overlooks the valley with the Pyrenees in background panorama. Its absolute calm allows to propose as well the rest, as hikes, cyclists and cavalier, the exploration of the cultural treasures of the Gers or the participation in the festivals close to Vic-Fezensac, Mirande, Marciac, etc.
The cottages are luxury upscale; special care has been taken in the equipment to provide a high level of comfort: bathroom with walk-in shower, living room with luxuriously equipped kitchen, etc.
The cottages: Spend a few quiet days with family, with friends in a quiet environment. You can relax completely, enjoy the pool, take walks in the surrounding countryside or explore the cultural treasures of the Gers.
Enjoy nature, will have the chance to see deer, wild boar, buzzards, hawks, hares and pheasants ...
If you are a rider, you will find Bazian (4 km) to find a horse farm on horseback rides in the region.
If you prefer golf, there are two high-level nearby.
In season, enjoy the Country festival in Mirande, Salsa in Vic-Fezensac and Jazz in Marciac.
The South West is a mecca of bullfighting with landaises Fest and the Arena Vic Fézensac.
BUNGALOW COTTAGE - FOUR BEDROOMS - 8 TO 16 BEDS
- a large living room of 40 m² with kitchen
- a bed and breakfast of 12 m² with 2 beds 0,90x2,00, (or in + 2 bunk beds 0,90x2,00)
- two bedrooms of 9 m² with 2 beds 0,90x2,00 (or 4 bunk beds 0,90x2,00)
- a 6 m² bedroom with 4 bunk beds (0,90x2,00)
- a shower room of 3.6 m² with sink, shower and toilet
- a bathroom of 6 m² with washbasin, 2 showers and 2 closed toilets
- an 80 m² individual terrace with an above-ground pool, a large picnic table, a parasol, a barbecue and relax chairs.
This large cottage is very nice because completely independent:
if you have young children, they swim in the pool before your eyes; if they are taller they can join the big pool to romp without restraint.
The interior paneling stay creates a very cozy atmosphere and the prairie environment and very hilly wood is beautiful.
For activities at the Domaine, you have the swimming pool, mini soccer field and volleyball, petanque, archery, the portal for small, biking, trail in the woods, tennis, table football and various board games.
For children we are well equipped: the space is so large (17 ha) and safely they disperse according to their ages and deal alone releasing many parents.
Our great build huts in the woods and are vigils around the fire at night, inviting us to eat sausages and bratwurst.
We organized a picnic hike with our horse which carried the 'kit' and small a little tired.
Christine also offers painting sessions for the quietest and they like it! In the neighboring village there is a riding club.
The environment is very green and well maintained with a centuries-old oak hedge along the stream gives a note of cleanliness and amenity to enjoy outdoor life with particularly favorable weather in the South West from France.
1 km, along a small stream, first there are prairie grasslands maintained for hay winter on 11 hectares and pastures where horses are on 2 acres. Follows a 3 hectare wood which began to be cleared to walking trails and jogging (fitness course !!!) with picnic areas to enjoy the cool summer undergrowth and mushroom picking in mid-season.
Both car parks are arranged so as not to see the house cars. There is virtually no traffic, with a few tractors on the small road that runs along the property and serves a small group of 4 or 5 houses 2 km away. National N124, the nearest is 12 km away in another valley. The county 34 in the valley 1 km as the crow flies has only local traffic, so very low.
All this to say that this little quiet corner will forget our guests the time of their stay, circulatory disturbances they experience daily in their city of residence.
Riguepeu, community of 225 residents, including 30 in the village, is 1.5 km from the house.
There is a primary school, three manufacturers of foie gras and a stonemason.
The nearest shops are in Vic-Fezensac, town of 3700 inhabitants, crossed by the National N124 connecting Toulouse to Bayonne through Auch, Gers prefecture, city of 22,000 inhabitants. Vic-Fezensac with its arena drains the aficionados during the Whitsun Celebrations and the salsa fans at the Tempo-Latino festival at the end of July. Marciac and its first fortnight of August Jazz Festival is 30 minutes drive and Mirande Country and mid-July festival is 20 minutes.
The advantages of Gers:
This area, the most agricultural France in number of farms, suffered a population decline following that labor replaced by mechanization of labor. Thanks to this, beautiful architecture and rich history of this region has remained intact without being polluted by new buildings often uniform and banal that do not fit at all to the local environment!
On the other hand, the stone of clear and warm country and channel tile roofs give these buildings an undeniable charm.
The story is rich in this transition region is marked by invasions from the north sometimes, sometimes the south that created the need for perching and fortifying villages, leaving in each of them the remains of doors, walls or churches giving, with the existing or disappeared castle, the Castelnaus.
The newest, houses, new creations from the 13th century to develop trade under some protection, leave us well squared villages with beautiful and large halls, timbered houses and majestic churches.
The hilly landscape with a descendant ten parallel rivers Lannemezan plateau is superb with the tracery of wood and well cultivated fields. The ridges roads offer magnificent views of sight.
The habitat, highly dispersed, encouraged the creation of numerous cultural, sports or mutual aid which are very dynamic. This leads to a remarkable cohesion in the population that no longer exists in cities or shopping are all distractions. People are peaceful and workers and relationship with money are much less exacerbated.
Road traffic is very low and the related nuisances. Many marked and maintained trails provide unforgettable hiking, biking and equestrian.
Finally the nearby Pyrenees offers us beautiful panoramas (when the atmosphere allows you to see) and the possibility of one or two day excursions or to practice climbing in summer and skiing in winter.
