The house is nice. Do not rent if you have kids
The house is big and well maintained. Owners live in it when not rented and have OCD about cleanliness and order. She was surprised that there was traces of my kids existence… although I have been proud of them for not breaking anything over the course of 3 weeks.
It was as if I should have cleaned the house by myself before checking out. That is not the level of service I expect from a house that cost over 1000 dollars per night. The owners charged me for replacing flowers in the garden. Flowers which would be gone in a couple of months anyway because of winter!
The way the owner made me feel at check out is actually unacceptable for such a costly property. They should not rent out their home if they don’t feel comfortable for it to be used by other people and should not expect me to clean the house before checking out especially when there is a specific fee paid for house cleaning on the website. We left the house in good condition and not excessively dirty. Just regular living conditions. So I won’t be renting from them again.
