Propreté irréprochable ++

Courrez-y!

Family Holiday in Caumont Aug 2013
We found and booked through Home Away online and found everything clear and straightforward with prompt responses to any email queries. We arrived after the usual tiring holiday journey to receive a wonderfully warm welcome from our hostess, Valerie. A meal and a drink together on a warm summer's evening started our stay at Gite Robineau in just the right way. Valerie made sure we understood the layout of the Gite and where to find everything before leaving us in the privacy we would want whilst knowing she would be there to help if need be.
The facilities were just as described on the website, even more enchanting than we could have expected. As a family with mature children and their partners, we found kitchen, dining and lounge area perfect - giving space and ease of use for all. The bedrooms were large and airy, the beds comfortable and mixture of en suite and separate facilities ideal for our needs. The kitchen had everything we needed and the dishwasher was a super bonus! The pool, albeit small for swimming, is a generous size for a cooling soak and a bit of gentle exercise. We managed a few boisterous games with all the floats and rings too. The pool was wonderfully located at the edge of the property with an exceptional view and room to stretch out and sun ourselves as well.
In all, the location amongst sunflowers and vines overlooking a valley, gives Gite de Robineau an sense of isolation in beautiful farmed countryside. The lovingly restored building with characterful wooden beams and generous room sizes made for quite the idyllic 'break in Bordeaux'. We loved our time there, we had friends nearby who were envious of the lovely character of our Gite compared with their more modern version. This is a beautiful location, a lovely place to stay and made our holiday just that little bit more special.
