-This former papeterie turned cottage in the heart of Loue valley in Saint-Médard-d'Excideuil comes with 2 large rooms. It is a great option for a stay with a family. Swimmingpool (12x6)

The 17th-century brookside estate has a lot to offer apart from the clear-watered highlight. In-house Fly Fishing lessons by 2016 Belgian Junior Champion is a major attraction. All the cosy restaurants for farm-fresh pizzas or delicacies along with Golf and Tennis are less than 10 km away. Hiking by the river or around the forest is a must.

The lovely pet-friendly and child-friendly cottage comes with a gallery bedroom, Boules and Table Tennis court and even bicycles which attract kids a lot. A family barbecue evening can be enjoyed at the private terrace or even the garden. Children's bed and high chair available on request.

Als je absolute rust wilt, dan is dit je plek. Het prachtig onderhouden erf ligt aan het eind van een doodlopende weg, onderaan een verlaten dal, midden in een bos. Verder weg van de wereld kun je je in West-Europa niet wanen. Er zijn maar twee gastverblijven, dus rond en in het zwembad heb je alle ruimte. In het bos kun je mooie wandelingen maken: tijdens de derde keer in drie dagen dat ik een hert tegen het lijf liep, keek ik er al niet eens meer van op. Wel goede schoenen mee, want het is soms flink klimmen en dalen. Af en toe moet je door het water waden. Ik had zelf mijn gravelbike mee. Voor de onverharde paden heb je hier eerder een MTB nodig, maar er blijven genoeg mooie, verkeersarme en uitdagende asfaltweggetjes over: ik heb er echt prachtige tochten gemaakt. Mijn cottage was sober, maar had alles in huis wat ik nodig had. Het flonderterras was een topplek om de dag af te sluiten. En ’s nachts hoor je alleen de snelstromende rivier: geen straf. De Vlaamse eigenaresse en haar partner zijn buitengewoon aardig, gezellig en behulpzaam, ze geven je echt een thuisgevoel. Het dorp ligt op een kwartier rijden, heeft heel mooie buurtjes, maar veel te beleven is er niet. Maar goed, als je hier toch voor je rust komt, dan is dat alleen maar een plus.

Weer een heerlijke week op Moulin du Bouc gehad. Het gevoel wat je ervaart als je het domein op komt rijden is onbeschrijflijk. Wat een mooie plek, in de natuur, aan de rivier De Loue, met alle faciliteiten die je nodig hebt om een top vakantie te hebben. Wij hebben samen met onze kids (12 en 15) genoten van het prachtige zwembad met fijn terras, de spellen rondom het zwembad (pingpong, jeu de boules, trampoline, etc), het heerlijke huis met alle voorzieningen die we nodig hadden. Moulin de Bouc staat voor genieten in de rust van de natuur. En natuurlijk de gezelligheid van de gasten uit het andere huis en de eigenaresse. Zij maakt het verblijf extra fijn doordat we ons weer erg welkom voelden. Tot ziens!

Si ce n’est pas le paradis alors ça y ressemble beaucoup!!! Un lieu magnifique, calme, amoureux de la nature foncez ! Miet est une hôte incroyablement gentille et accueillante. Nous gardons un souvenir merveilleux de ces vacances en Dordogne... Merci pour tout !
