We love our house and it shows. Live the lake life.

Welcome to our Lake House ! Our Lakehouse is a private lakefront home with our own dock a walk out beach area and large yard and ample room for 6 guest to RELAX and a parking area with ample room for cars & a trailer! We love our LAKEFRONT House and the location is fantastic! This is a 3-bedroom 2 full bath house that is situated right on the water, with our own dock. The master bedroom features a 14.5 " memory foam Queen-sized bed with non stop wonderful lake views. The 2nd bedroom is appointed with a full-sized bed. The 3rd has a queen sized bed. The main living space is open and spacious with wonderful views of the lake, with a wall of windows looking towards the lake and a 65" HD TV with many streaming channels to stream your shows and providers. The kitchen is new, with plenty of countertop space and some island seating for 4, there is a dining room table inside for group dining or board games. We have a large seating area indoors for movie watching or simply hanging out…although you'll probably spend more time outside! There is a large deck with a gas grill and plenty of greenspace on the lawn for games or simply playing! The outdoor furniture includes a 2-person hammock and outdoor dining set for al fresco dining and a picnic table in the backyard. While enjoying the large yard, don’t forget to bring some wood with you for campfires and make yourself comfortable on the Adirondack chairs that surround our fire ring situated lakeside. There are 2 kayas and bikes for your use. There is ample seating at the picnic table on the dock for enjoying coffee @sunrise or ice cream while watching sunsets. Enjoy a simple walk across the street for an ice cream cone! Yes! You are that close to the perfect summer! Sherman’s bay is close to most of Chautauqua's main attractions, such as the Chautauqua Institute, which is just about a 20-minute drive by car. We are only minutes from the cute towns of Lakewood, Jamestown and Mayville which has anything you would need. A 15-minute drive (20-minute boat ride) to Bemus Point. You are welcome to tie your boat off on our own secure boat cage on our OWN private dock during your stay (June - mid October) The water depth is at approx. 3 ft deep around our dock, so docking your boat should not be a problem. Don’t have your own boat? Not to worry! There are many boat rental options right down the bay. There is little you will be missing during your stay! Enjoy a quiet vacation in a clean, updated lakefront cottage with all the modern amenities! Come and enjoy a relaxing stay on Chautauqua Lake! Our lakehouse has so much to offer. Come for a romantic getaway, family vacation, friends trip, fishing trip or skiing. Ample Parking available for 3-4 cars, 1 trailer for guest only. Boat docking for 1 boat. All accomodations and ammenities are for registered guests. No gatherings, events or parties. Security cameras monitor paved parking,home, and boat docking areas for our safety and our properties security.This cottage is rented weekly during season Memorial day thru Labor day with Saturday check in & check out. Another great stay, as always

This is our second stay at this location (and 4th or 5th on Chautauqua). Our kids demanded that we come back to the same house for its great dock, proximity to ice cream, and overall relaxing vibe. We had an excellent time and can't wait to do it again.

The house was great and exactly as described. Right on the lake, with a great dock, kayaks, and yard games to enjoy. Better yet, it's right across the street from a fabulous ice cream stand and less than a mile from a world-class craft brewery. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful Lakehouse Vacation

This is the second year we have enjoyed a vacation at the Blue Heron Lakehouse. We really enjoy everything about it. Clean, delightfully decorated, so many amenities, right on the lake with 2 kayaks included (bikes also although we didn't use). Such a restful place to enjoy Chautauqua Lake.

The house is very clean, nicely decorated, beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. My only suggestion is an additional comfortable chair in the great room. We had a lot of rain, so watched TV more than we would have normally, there were 6 of us so someone had to sit on a dining chair.

We enjoyed our stay and amenities. We explored the area. We visited several local museums, hiked trails and climbed rocks, golfed, explored Presque Isle , tried out the SkyCoaster in Ellicottville , kayaked, read books and rested. Great location for a launch pad into Western NY and North PA. Lovely rental opportunity.

We just feel so at home at this property! We enjoyed all of the upgrades! It was particularly nice to be greeted by you and your husband! Bringing our daughter and son-in-law’s boat proved to be even more fun, and it was well protected during a couple of the thunderstorms we encountered.

Lakewood lake house stay

We had a wonderful time this past week. The Lakehouse was clean and so comfortable. We loved everything it had to offer. Twice-proven this is a great place to stay. The covered patio and bikes were a very nice addition this year! Plus having an umbrella on the dock picnic table provided needed sun protection. Very nice owners! Appreciated the communication as needed. Love the sunrise and sunsets. The property is so close to anything you could possibly need. Where a couple rekindles their joy for each other and curls up with a glass of wine and says life with you is great!
