My friends and I had a ski vacation and stayed at Bella Vista. It was very comfortable in the view of Gore mountain from the dining room area and upstairs bedroom was amazing. Everything went perfectly and every contact I had with Mary Ann was usually answered within hours or less. Good time and great memories! Many thanks!
We had a great time at Bella Vista! There were 8 of us (4 adults, 4 kids ages 8-13) and we were there to ski at Gore Mountain. The house is very large and it never felt crowded. We cooked breakfast and dinner at home every day and the kitchen was well stocked with all of the cooking utensils/pots/pans, etc that were needed. Gore was literally a 10 minute drive away and you get a perfect beautiful view of the mountain from the kitchen. It's a very quiet and peaceful area. I would definitely stay here again if we visit the area in the future.
In the heart of Adirondack farm and logging country. Very serene and quiet. Beautiful views of the Gore Mtn area ( about 6 miles I guess as the crow flies. Nice elevated rear deck with gas grill and plenty of wooden ADK furniture.. Wi-Fi worked very well . Huge TV with Direct TV satellite. Hot August but evenings cooled down nicely. You can sleep late and open the blinds in the master bedroom - watching the colors change on the distant ski slopes. Well done!
The lawn in the back was covered with large pieces of broken glass making most of the lawn unusable. Told lawn Maintenace when they were there mowing, and they replied they have been mowing over it for a couple years now. There is a mouse issue, and traps were set around the kitchen area. We didn't notice any activity until the last couple days of our stay when the mouse ran across the kitchen floor. The next couple mornings there were droppings on the dining table. The handrail leading to the upstairs is too short for an adult to use. My wife had to sleep downstairs due to her fear of falling.
The house is accommodating for 8 guests and very roomy. The house and property could use some cleanup up maintenance
Wonderful home in the Adirondaks. Beautiful views of Gore Mountain and surrounding area. Perfect for a group ski vacation getaway. Mary Ann is a great host, the Welcome gift she left us was such a nice touch. I would definately rent this property again!
Proximity to Gore was great. Owner was attentive. Plenty of room for 10 people. We loved the dining room and had fun sharing meals, playing games, etc.
Beautiful views from the back deck and dining room. Convenient to rafting and hiking. Very peaceful and private. House came stocked with everything we needed except for a washer and dryer. We enjoyed our stay.
Everything you need is here. Close to many points of interest. I highly recommend rafting with Adirondack River Outfitters. Ask for Cody to be your rafting guide. Be sure to visit the Black Hole swimming hole while you're here. Everything you need or want to do is within 20 minutes.
Bella Vista is the exact kind of place you dream about when you need a break from the city. It was cozy but spacious, with beautiful views of the mountains, and the peace and quiet of nature and the woods. The house is fully stocked with everything you need and there is a store nearby to pick up all of your food and perishables. There are trails, lakes and activities in close distance but you can also just kick back at the house for a relaxing getaway. The property manager is extremely responsive. We really enjoyed our stay and would return.
The 9 of us really enjoyed the Bella Vista house for a ski weekend at Gore. Very accommodating including garage parking, a well-prepared fireplace, and it lived up to its name with a great view of the mountain.
