Perfect weekend get away! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!? Patio like no other! Lighted fishing pier! You'll never want to leave!

Fisherman's dream and your family will be happy too! Our home is not managed by a professional management company, but is our FAMILY VACATION HOME. Welcoming, cozy, with all you need for a great getaway. It is well maintained and your entire family will be comfortable here. If you are looking for a party house, a place to get wild and crazy, or if you are not someone that will treat our home with respect - please look elsewhere. Our home is not the place!

This 4 bedroom home is large and will sleep everyone comfortably, the beds are comfy!! The kitchen is fully stocked. You have plenty of place settings for a large group. It's equipped with a coffee maker, crock pot, blender, mixer, toaster and more. You won't want for anything (and if you so, please let us know!) The bathrooms have plenty of towels and there is a washer and dryer for those longer stays.

Redfish, flounder, shark, pompano, gafftops, croakers, sheepheads, drum and trout are just a cast away right on your private lighted pier on Carancahua Bay. There is no commercial fishing in the Bay so fishing is fabulous!

Also, with your boat, you have easy access to Matagorda Bay, considered by all to have some of the best fishing on the Texas Coast. Launch your boat at the neighborhood launch or at the public ramp in Olivia, take a ride to Keller Bay or Salt Lake, Red Fish Bay or to "The Point", a sand beach that's great for sea shell hunting! Spend the day skiing or swimming in the bay, bird watching or just sit out on the patio and watch for dolphins! Port O'Connor and Seadrift are also within an hours' drive.

For the birding enthusiast, this area is teaming with a large variety of bird species including Black-necked Stilts, Ibis, Rosette Spoonbills, Reddish Egrets, Gull and Tern species, Least Turns, Rails and Snipe, wintering Geese, Sandhill Cranes and White-tailed Hawks. You might even see endangered Pereghrine Falcons, Wood Storks or Brown Pelicans. A loop of the Great Texas Birding Trail goes right down the street the house is on. There are a number of birding sites within a few miles of the house.

Bedroom #1 has a king bed and twin bed with a private bath (shower).
Bedroom #2 has 2 (two!) queen beds.
Bedroom #3 has one (1) queen bed plus one (1) full bed and a full private bath with tub.
Bedroom #4 is an “open” bunk room with 1 full over full bunkbed.

3rd guest bath with shower off the kitchen.

Two living/two dining spaces with a huge kitchen allow for roomy family gatherings.

Have your coffee on the covered patio and enjoy the breathtaking view of the bay.

15 minutes from Port Lavaca - dining, shopping (Walmart and HEB), Magnolia Beach and Lighthouse Beach. Palacios is also 15 minutes way!

Great property for large family or multiple families - Two families with kids would fit nicely. Clean and well maintained. Likely good for folks with a boat, though we didn’t bring one. Family fishing trip!

We had a wonderful Father’s Day weekend with our whole family. The accommodations are amazing with beautiful views and lots of space inside and out. Great weekend getaway!

Second time staying here and it was another great visit. Was sad to see the ice maker in disrepair this trip, it was a hit last visit, but there is a store 5 miles down the road we were able to get ice from! Thanks for another great weekend at your lovely home! We will be back!

Shanna - my dad was a Coastie stationed in Port O'Connor years ago so Port Lavaca has always had a special place in my heart! I'm so glad to be able to bring back those childhood memories and make new ones! We currently live in Austin but get down to Port Alto every chance we get!

We have three (almost) grown kids - 26, 22 and 18! Our youngest loves to fish! This is a second home for us and we are happy to share it and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We love the neighborhood! Go back in time when life was taken slow, cell phones did not exists and we waved and smile at everyone we met! It's such a friendly place and we are so excited to share it with you! Our street is like old timey Main Street U.S.A. where we used spend our Friday nights going from one end to the other! Down here, its just golf cart traffic!
