This house is great. Great Location, quiet street yet close to everything. House is perfect for our needs. We have stayed there before and will certainly be back. We love the new bathroom and new floors in the kitchen.
We stayed with a toddler and infant twins and it was perfect for us. The living and kitchen space was open and comfortable so we were able to keep an eye on the kids and feel like we were at home. The outdoor shower was a huge plus, no one took an indoor shower all week! It was so easy to walk to all the shops and restaurants. Will definitely be staying here again!
We brought our older grandkids {ages 7 and 10) for 3 days and this was a perfect place to stay. We had everything we needed and more.
The house was clean and welcoming. The many games and puzzles were fun for the evenings and rest times during the day
Very nice house. Clean with everything anyone would need for an enjoyable weekend away. Very close to all of the town's attractions including the wonderful beach!
The location was great, just one block from Maddox. The neighborhood was very quiet, the house super clean, and bed very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we could have needed. We were very pleased and will be back
We had a great time for a chilly weekend at the beach. We used the firepit more than expected due to the weather which was great. Steamers is right across from the property and we had great food there! It was less than a 5 min walk
Check in and out are easy. Prices were fair. We would book this property again. Excellent property for families. Stephanie was great to work with and very attentive.
House was just as described and perfect for our small family of 4. The kids loved the beach and being so close to ice cream. And we enjoyed being walking distant to a whole bunch of places in town. Would definitely stay again.
The house was perfect for our needs - well stocked kitchen. The location was great. There were many things we could walk to. With a bike, it would be even more convenient. Very responsive. I would stay again. I recommend.
One of the nicest Arabian bees I've stayed at over many years
Small on the outside but feels very spacious on the inside as large open rooms flow well into each other. Very long recently paved driveway and we were able to back our 25 ft boat in with ease thanks to the extremely wide road and have the nose of our expedition almost halfway back the side of the house.
This is our new go to place for chincoteague. If you haven't stayed on the island before, areas anywhere close to the water along main Street or the assateague side of the island are extremely thick with mosquitoes. Staying in town solves that problem.
You can walk to so many places on Maddox by cutting through parking lot across from this home
We would stay here again. Only negative was no pool. Always nice to have pool while on vacation. Back door needs to be looked at - you have to push hard to get it open all the way. And maybe take your own pillows.
Adorable home within walking distance of everything
Where the Sidewalk Ends is a beautiful home just off of the Main Street (Maddox Blvd) in Chincoteague. The home is larger inside than expected. The kitchen was fully stocked with knives, kitchen gadgets and has counterspace needed to prepare meals. We walked to all of the shops and Ice Cream places daily. A small Dollar General is also in walking distance which came in handy for things we forgot.
We were able to enjoy the first night of the Fireman's Carnival on our last night here.
Thank you for making our stay memorable.
We loved our stay at “Where the Sidewalk Ends” in Chincoteague. From the moment we entered, we felt so fortunate that Deborah’s place was available for our stay. Everything about it was great from the location to the sparkling cleanliness! The renovated main bathroom has a beautiful shower and it is a bonus to have the half bath in the main bedroom. This little house exudes a feeling of comfort and really makes you feel at home. There were four of us, ages 12 to 78, and we all loved it! My grandson was thrilled that he could hook up his PS5 and the rest of us were thrilled that we could relax quietly. We went to the beach at least once every day (about a 10 minute drive even with traffic) and appreciated the outdoor shower (with hot water) to quickly rinse off the sand upon returning “home.” Another plus for us was that it is just a couple of blocks to Amarin for the best chocolate croissants in the world. Everything that Chincoteague has to offer is readily available within a short distance. It was excessively hot while we were there, and we appreciated the air conditioned comfort especially in the evenings. I could go on about all the good things about this house, but will sum up by just saying that we had a wonderful time and found the house wonderful! Thank you, Deborah!
The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for a week away. We enjoyed being to walk to ice cream and coffee. I hadn’t realized there was a half-bath in the master bedroom, and that was definitely a nice to have!
we had a great stay. Home was very clean and comfortable for the 4 of us. Hope to be able to stay in Chincoteague again next year and if we have a small group we would like to stay here again.
House was very nice, in a quiet neighborhood. There was a lot near by in walking distance. Agent was great, she quietly replaced our house keys when they were lost at the beach!
Nice little cottage within short walking distance of Maddox Blvd. Our boys were able to walk to the Creamery and the gift shops and explore Main Street as well. Great backyard with a sizable side yard and a wonderful outdoor shower, firepit, clothesline, etc. Deborah Stevens was helpful as always. Thank you!
Debbie called me the day before we arrived to make sure I knew where to get the keys and see if I had any questions. Check in was a breeze!
The location is the absolute best!!! Easy walking distance to SO many things, and on the end of a quiet street to boot. A lovely yard with a fire pit and an outdoor shower, which came in handy.
The house is older and does not have a lot of outlets, so maybe bring a power strip if you have a lot of things to charge.
The kitchen is very well stocked!! The beds each had a pillow and a comforter, which we weren't expecting. Oh, and they were comfy too. There were also some spare blankets if you need them (we did not, it was 100° outside!).
There are lots of books and games, as well as some movies. We never even turned the TV on...if we weren't out exploring, we were relaxing and reading.
The shower was a little weird...one big, fixed rain type showerhead and a smaller mobile one that was basically a low pressure hose. Not really a complaint, I'm just used to a slightly more aggressive showerhead. 😂 It got the job done after days spent covered in sunscreen and bug spray.
I would stay here again in a second! In fact we're already thinking of booking it in 2024.
