Beautiful property

So much privacy and a lovely, comfortable home with very helpful, communicative owners. Deer and elk sightings. Would definitely visit again.

Wonderful cabin weekend

We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin! The space was well appointed, cozy, and had beautiful views. We enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen, reading by the fire, and walking to the top of the property for the morning walk for our dog. We would love to come back!!

Lovely, Quiet, and Private

This little gem was a great respite from a large family reunion in the area. Close to the town of Cle Elum but soooo private. Felt like we were in our own little world. Great communication with the owners. Really nicely appointed!

Beautiful cabin and property and everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Cabin is in a great location, close to town but on a beautiful ridge with views and lots of privacy. The cabin itself was clean and had everything imaginable one might need to make for a comfortable stay. Absolutely gorgeous and fun at the same time. Our Frenchies loved the porch. We saw a huge elk and some turkeys, so great to experience wildlife in their natural setting.

Best Retreat Ever

This place was amazing. Driving up, it took our breath away and it only got better. This lovely private home with views, and wildlife made for a relaxing weekend. The place was immaculate and the morning and evening grazing elk captivated our imagination. Thanks for the hospitality. We hated to leave.

Wonderful Property

Beautiful little log cabin on a magnificent piece of property high above Cle Elum. The cabin was very cozy and well appointed. Our dogs loved exploring the large property. Coffee on the front porch in the morning. Cold drinks on the back patio in the afternoon. Perfect getaway.

Exactly as Advertised

Had a great stay! The cabin was exactly as pictured, very clean and very conveniently located to Cle Elum. Communicating with Kate was easy and the check-out list was reasonable. Pro-tip: check the front yard at dusk. One night we saw a six elk and another night we saw three deer. Lovely all around.

Great location, great property

Cabin itself is very nice, upscale. The bed was pretty firm, but comfortable. It is only a couple minute drive into Cle Elum should you need anything, and I'd say less than 10 minutes to Roslyn. I actually didn't leave the property as much as I thought I would, however, because there's plenty of space to hike around and relax on the nice secluded acreage. It hit the 90's a couple times, which isn't fun without AC, but the fans move air enough in the cabin to make it bearable. It was windy and dry, so we didn't use the wood burning pit, but the gas pit started right up (watch for wasps, you're in the mountains).

Just what we needed.

This property is just gorgeous! The pictures don't do it justice. We enjoyed our stay so much that we added an extra night. So glad we did as that morning a herd of approximately 35-40 elk came down from the hills and hung out in the front yard for a few hours. It was snowing heavily and perfectly set the scene. We had booked to stay here last fall however the smoke from the forest fires kept us away. We are planning on staying here again later this year to be able to participate in hiking and water activities. The owners were very responsive and excellent to work with. We deeply appreciate them sharing this magical place (-:

Perfect weekend getaway!!

We found the cabin during a last minute search for a quick weekend getaway, and we're so happy it was available. Although it's only about 5 minutes from town, you wouldn't know it. The location truly does feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. The cabin was fantastic....seemed newer, extremely clean, and stocked with anything we would need. And, best of all, quiet! We spent our days exploring Cle Elum, Roslyn, and Suncadia....and our nights relaxing by the fire or playing games. We were treated with a blanket of snow on our last day. It was a perfect ending to the weekend. We didn't get to explore the property much, but on our last day, with the blanket of snow, we encountered two large elk traversing the property. We hope to come back another time to see more of this wonderful gem. Kate and Paul, thank you so much for opening up your home to us! We hope to be back very soon.

Cozy Cabin

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin. If your looking for a place that sits in a private setting, yet still very close to town look no further. The cabin has a Cozy interior. The kitchen is well stocked with most everything you’d need, to prepare all meals. We stayed over Thanksgiving, making our Thanksgiving extra Special for 2020! I packed what I thought I might need, to prepare a Holiday meal . The only thing I used from home was a large platter also our own coffee cups. There were plenty coffee cups on hand , just that being from WA, where we’re big coffee drinkers we need nothing less than a 16 oz cup. Every other pan, bowl, knives, etc ... was on hand. Added thoughtfulness from the owners , we arrived to one bottle of wine 🍷 as well as a darling small Christmas 🎄 tree, to enhance the mood. We’d highly recommend staying here. By no means is this a complaint, probably more seasonally related ( November dark by 4:30 PM ) Or possibly our eye sight, age related, we found that while sitting at the table/ booth for our dinner, it was a bit dark. That’s a easy fix. We give the cabin 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you , Kris & Cat

Much needed escape

Thoroughly enjoyed our getaway here. The cabin was very nice, all amenities/needs met, bed & linens were very comfortable. Nicknamed the moose (Popeye). Never used the tv but, the option was there. Still had cell service (although I put my phone on silent), as well as the provided WiFi. The tranquility was very nice, & what I very much needed. My dogs were content & happy, aside from me keeping them on tie-outs when outside(god forbid they see another animal though, they take off like rockets, & forget their names & obedience). To note, the surrounding yard area is natural/typical eastern WA land. So, don't plan to walk barefoot, expect grass seed on your clothes & in dog's hair, & the pine needles' ends are sappy (sticky). Also, elk & deer are in the area, & that means their poo is out there too... Thankfully, there is also an outdoor shower at the shop, to scrub down your precious puppy if they choose to roll in said-poo! Other note, the location has pretty consistent high winds. Made it nice to keep the air flow & place cooler (being it's July) but, it's not just a gentle breeze. ;) I will definitely keep this place in mind for future getaways. It was very comfortable, Kate was very communicative & accommodating, & it was easy to get to as well. (I'd imagine it's a little trickier in snow conditions but, 4x4 👍)

Perfect getaway with wife and dogs.

My wife and I, along with our two German Shepard’s, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Communication was an ease with owners and cabin was immaculate. Trail up to the high point was a nice little treat. If you go with any chance of snow or ice, ensure your vehicle will handle it. Close to everything and in a high end neighborhood, but still a remote feel. Kate and Paul are exceptional to do business with.

Could not ask for more!

The cabin is just as described--clean and comfortable, with all the necessities one could need. The hosts are wonderful. We had incredible weather for the end of October and enjoyed our coffee and cocktails on the back deck. I wish all vacation rentals were so nice!
