Poor communication & insufficient AC

The listing is not fully filled out on vrbo, the checkin process was left blank and was instead only provided in a lengthy message. Furthermore it mentions absolutely nowhere that the main office is only open 9-5, i arrived at 530 and there was no one in sight, and no one i could get ahold of for checkin info even by phone. I had a similar issue with checkout except despite saying they would be open at 9 when i showed up to return my key no one was there. Communication was very poor to say the least. I stayed here in August when it was very hot, the tiny AC unit is poorly attatched to the wall with duct tape that unsealed itself once it was running for a bit. It barely cooled the upstairs and the downstairs was a sauna. When i first entered the place the temp was above 86 degrees, and the AC only brought it down to about 80.

Fun Trip

Everything very easy and comfortable, close to the resort and several food options. Clean and well stocked, appreciated the big pile of firewood!

Outstanding location accessible to all of our interest. Thank God for the carts to move luggage.

Overall a fantastic experience so grateful they were available last minute. Just a couple issues, cost was a bit high, circuit breakers went off after turning on lights upstairs and directions to fix it we’re not straightforward and the warning in the guest manual was a little intimidating that we will be charge for parts and labor if we called with any electrical problems. There was no Internet or TV but the owner was great making some considerations. The hot tub was fantastic but despite following all the instructions we could not get the Jets to work. These were all minor issues, in general we love the place and would go back if they get some snow for cross country skiing.
