Area and activities :
- The beach of bon secours, Porte St-Pierre, with its seawater swimming pool and sailing club on the beach, at low tide you can go to the island of Grand bé where the tomb of Chateaubriand is located.
- The town museum in one of the town's dungeons, with a panoramic view of Saint-Malo, the Cathedral, the tour of the ramparts, guided tours available from the tourist office located at Porte St-Vincent at the foot of the ramparts outside, or with the little train for a commented historical tour of the town.
- Rue de l'Orme, also known as Rue Gourmande, is home to some great local produce: butter and cheese from Chez Bordier, Babas de Saint-Malo, seasonal fruit and vegetables in all 4 seasons, fresh fish from the Guinemer fishmonger, as well as a number of restaurants, including Breizh café, Cambusier, and L'Absinthe down the road. Two mini-markets in rue St-Vincent and rue de Dinan.
- On Place Chateaubriand, you can enjoy great seafood at Café de l'Ouest, the best burgers at Lion d'Or, a Sunday lunchtime brunch at Maison Générale to delight your taste buds and your eyes (reservations recommended), and discover the friendly Cargo Culte restaurant in a friendly atmosphere, with home cooking on the menu, tarts, salads, tartines, soups, in a brocante decor.
