- on the 1st: access by 2 independent staircases to 1 large bedroom (1 bed of 180 cm or 2 of 90 cm) contiguous to 1 small bedroom (bed of 90 cm) with 1 bathroom, on the one hand and elsewhere with 1 bedroom (1 bed of 90 cm + 1 drawer bed of 90 cm) and 1 bathroom.

Lovely property, fabulous location & highly recommended

We had a fabulous week in Monflanquin the property was exactly as described, fantastically well maintained and we were blessed with good weather too! The property has numerous spots to arrange the outdoor furniture to catch or avoid the sun, with plenty of loungers and an impeccably maintained pool which was at the perfect temperature for us. Betrand, the charming gentleman who maintained the property, was on hand to look after things and his handsome dog Litchy was a big hit with our families. Monflanquin is a beautiful bastide only 10 minutes by car and there are three boulangeries there that we found and a Casino that had everything we needed. I would only note, for others that are considering the property, to make sure that the bedroom layout works for you - we had two boys & two girls and the upstairs layout wasn’t great but this was trivial compared to the benefits of the property.

Excellent!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. L’accueil a été au-delà de nos attentes avec des viennoiseries, du pain et de la confiture faite maison apportée par Bernard qui est d’une immense gentillesse. La piscine était nettoyée et les poubelles ramassés quotidiennement. La maison est détenue par une famille ravissante, vivant de manière suffisamment éloignée sur la propriété, garantissant une parfaite intimité. La propriété est entourée de champs offrant un dépaysement total et un calme absolu. Axelle, en charge de cette location est une hôte remarquable et très responsive. Encore merci pour votre accueil. Nous recommandons chaleureusement!

Idyllic and Peaceful Stay

Where do I start? We were greeted by Bernard, who was extremely helpful. He brought us fresh pastries on our first day, and was on hand to help with any query big or small. The property is nestled away in the beautiful french countryside, but just a 5 minute drive to the nearby town of Monflanquin. The property itself is breathtakingly beautiful, Bernard works hard to keep it clean and tidy. His dog is very cute and we loved playing with him in the grass. We thoroughly enjoyed playing tennis in the nearby courts, and then a dip in the pool. The house itself, has every amenity you could think of, and extremely comfortable beds. We are already thinking of returning next year. We’d like to say a special thank you to the host whom allowed us a late check out after a heavy wedding! Many thanks

French Wedding Holiday

We were a group of 7 attending a family wedding in the region. The property was ideal with swimming pool an added bonus of a jacuzzi. The property is located in a very quiet location but has the advantage of being within east commute to both Monflanquin and Villereal, both very nice towns. We had a great holiday and a special thanks to Bernard who was exceptionally helpful as were the owners.

Pool fun

I had a wonderful fortnight celebrating my 60th birthday with my adult children and their partners. We were looked after wonderfully by Bernard who made sure the pool was in top condition enabling us to enjoy the pool to the full. The area is beautiful and very quiet and tranquil at this time of year (June). We had mixed weather but enjoyed every moment including the Music Festival in Montflanquin.

A dreamy, relaxing and very comfy stay

Having missed out on our original trip due to Covid, we were very much looking forward to getting away and it was well worth the wait! The house is gorgeous, in an idyllic setting, much like you'd expect to see on a postcard. The beds are super comfy, the kitchen very well equipped, the pool was perfect. Everything has been really well thought through and Bernard is a true gent, always available to make sure you have what you need. Another sofa would be great in the living area, but when the weather is so good you largely sit outside anyway. Bergerac is a 45min drive away and is a great spot to visit, but with everything you need at the house, you could happily stay there without going anywhere else! Monflanquin is a lovely small village, would definitely recommend booking for dinner as it's busy and the restaurants are small. We leave with full bellies, lots of memories and excitement to come back again! Thank you Axelle and Bernard.

Perfect escape from it all

From booking to departure, Axelle and Bernard were the perfect hosts. I had questions before we arrived which were dealt with timely and efficiently. On arrival we were welcomed by Axelle who showed us around but we were in regular contact with Bernard. The villa was perfect for us. Lots of outdoor space and entertainment for our 4 children, they decided on the upstairs room (one for 3 , the other for 1) and my husband and I downstairs. The kitchen area much larger than I had thought from the pictures. We we’re touring France so this stop was for us both to work together which we could do due to the great broadband. We did not see much of the area around us due to work but what we saw we loved. The large supermarket just a 7 minute drive away provided us with all our supplies. Whilst we were in the villa we had the unbelievable heatwave with great temperatures. This did bring out wasps looking for shade which we managed but then Bernard came and checked regularly for us. We also had not one but two times the parasols broke again due to the heat. Both times Bernard managed to fix quickly (I am not sure how!!). The pool was great and saved us in the heat. The jets for swimming were perfect as well. All in all the perfect week. We loved our stay. Thank you Axelle and Bernard. .

Fabulous property

Really loved the place. Outdoor spaces is brilliant, warmest of welcomes and you can tell that the owner and Bernard (onsite host) have really thought about what you might need and care that you have a great holiday. Monflanquin is close and a great town with some good restaurants.

Séjour de cinq jours en famille parfait. L'annonce est conforme à la réalité. Espaces de vie très spacieux, bien éclairés et bien aménagés. Parfait pour une, deux, voir trois familles ou bande d'amis. Localisation très calme, peu de passage, pas très loin des commerces/restaurants. Base parfaite pour découvrir la région.

Beautiful House

We spent a wonderful 10days at Axelle’s lovely Gite. The accommodations was great and well equipped. The outside areas give so much space for relaxing and it is so peaceful. Axelle was very understanding as I changed dates with worries about not being able to travel due to Covid etc. I am so glad we managed to get away to this stunning location. Bernard attended the pool every morning and was on hand for any questions. I would definitely recommend. Be sure to ask about the layout of beds upstairs as this probably works best for family sharing/ teens.

A lovely relaxing family vacation

We had a really nice vacation. We spent 3 weeks with our kids ages between 9-11. The outdoor area is wonderful because it is spacious with nice plantation and the kids had the possibility to do several activies at the nice pool, play boule, table tennis, tennis ( the court is a bit old but „works“), or the trampolin. We appreciated the daily cleanse of pool, jacuzzi by Bernard. Who took good care of other things and our requests. Axelle is a warm-hearted person who tries to offer a nice vacation. Thank you for that!

Parfait !

Tout simplement un séjour parfait ! La maison est magnifique et l'endroit reposant. Nous étions 7 copines, et nous avons eu tout le confort nécessaire ! La maison très fonctionnelle et propre. Bernard, le gardien de la maison, très discret, mais toujours à nos petits soins ! Malheureusement, nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la piscine car nous avons eu de la pluie tout le Week end. Par contre, nous avons bien profité du jaccuzi ! Le seul point négatif (pour en trouver un), c'est le séjour qui n'est pas très grand : Le canapé glisse un petit peu, et il n'y a que 5 places confortables. Mais tout le reste était parfait !

une semaine de repos en famille

Nous avons été ravis de notre séjour en famille. Il n'a rien manqué: le beau temps, le calme, la piscine et les villages acceuillants alentours. Mais en plus , nous désirons mettre l'accent sur l'acceuil réservé par Axelle et surtout la présence discrète et efficace, chaque matin, de Bernard qui nous faisait trouver la propriété en ordre et la piscine "à point". Merci encore pour ce merveilleux moment.

A lovely welcome. Tranquil, clean, spacious and homely.

I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a real break. Very relaxed feel but everything works well. Understated style but comfortable and everything attended to. Ergonomic simplicity! Difficult to beat opening morning shutters to blue skies, bright tubs of geraniums and the smell of lavender! Surrounding area full of historical interest and outdoor activities for children and teens. Book now!
