Only two hours to Mt Bachelor. Try the white water rafting. Bring your mountain bike. Bring your drift boat, raft, kayake or pontoon raft. Bring your fly rod or your favorite spin cast rod and real. Go to the TrailBridge spawning channels and watch the salmon and steelhead spawn. Hundreds of hiking trails within minutes. Lots of high cascade small lakes to hike into. The cabin is so nice and so clean, in an environment so pristine -- you might not go and do anything. We have high speed internet and cable TV. The cabin sleeps up to six guests.

Delightful Stay On The River
From the time you walk in you will find a lovely welcoming to this cabin. From the sounds and direct view to the river, to the simple elegance of the unit itself you know your stay will be nothing but refreshing. This is what was experienced throughout the entire stay. Jonathan and his team are there from the beginning to the departure to make everything right. We’ve been here before and we will continue to come back again and again. Thank you for such a lovely property.

Great Clean Well-Maintained Cabin
We really enjoyed our trip to this cabin. The property is very nice and cabin cozy. The only piece of information I'd like to share is in regard to bringing your pet. We searched out a dog friendly rental and this one fit the bill. The only unfortunate part is there are instructions that you are not to leave your pet alone in the cabin (or any room) at any time with pretty stern legal language. If that was listed on the VRBO website we would not have rented the unit. Our dog is 9 years old and really wants to just sleep and hang out. We were planning a get together with my mom for a few hours in Eugene while down (we're from PDX). Due to that we cancelled the visit and could not go on hikes or to the hot springs as he's too old to want to join. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars (we've rented many dog friendly homes and this is the first time we've run into this). Other than that, it was a great place to stay and I highly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay
My partner and I came here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary and this place did not disappoint. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of amenities within to use during our stay. Our hosts allowed us a late check out so we could enjoy our last day there just a little while longer. Overall would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking to have tranquility and scenic views.

About the host

We are Jonathan and Lisa Mahody, aka: RiverOceanViews Management, and we are honored to manage this special cabin on the Mckenzie River at The Log Cabin Inn in Mckenzie Bridge, Oregon. Our goal is to provide you with a safe place to enjoy your best vacation.
Here are our cleaning protocols:
1.We wear disposable gloves when cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. Gloves are discarded after each cleaning. If reusable gloves are used, those gloves are only used for cleaning and disinfection of surfaces.
2.We clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in household common areas (e.g. tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, light switches, remotes, handles, desks, toilets, sinks) between each renter.
3.We use the following disinfectants for cleaning the cabin; diluted household bleach solutions, alcohol solutions with at least 70% alcohol, and most common EPA-registered household disinfectants.
4.We clean the soft (porous) surfaces such as carpeted floor, rugs, and drapes, remove visible contamination if present and clean with appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces.
5.We launder items as appropriate in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. We wash towels, sheets and bedspreads with the warmest appropriate water setting (hot water) for the items and dry them completely.
6.We wear disposable gloves when handling dirty laundry and then discard after each use.

Why they chose this property

This cabin offers everything on one level, so there are no stairs within the cabin. The huge master bedroom also offers a private master bath. There is a unique built-in queen in the over-sized great room with gas fireplace. There is also a queen sized futon in front of the fireplace.

What makes this property unique

The screened in porch is also your point of entry into the cabin -- this design makes it easy to sit and take your shoes off or towel off the dog before re-entering the cabin after playing at the river's edge. The large grassy meadow provides separation between cabins and opens up a larger view of the river than from other cabins.
The kitchenette offers a two burner stove top, a medium sized microwave and a mid-size fridge. There's also a gas grill located just off the porch for your use.
