About this property
Mckenzie River Cabin at The Log Cabin Inn
Come and stay in this beautiful pet friendly cabin available at the famous and historic Log Cabin Inn in Mckenzie Bridge, Oregon -- located just an hour east of Eugene, Oregon. Enjoy this meadow's edge location with a clear view of the Mckenzie River surrounded by a garden like setting and with immediate access to the huge river front meadow in the middle of this seven acres of common area and 900 feet of private river frontage -- all accessible by all guests as common area. The cabin is cedar shingle on the exterior with a great screened-in front porch facing the river.
The interior is in "knotty pine" and Douglas Fir with no sheet-rock anywhere -- all wood and beautiful craftmanship with a highly detailed finish.
Gas fireplace for instant atmosphere in the great room with a built-in queen size bed. Full bath with shower in the hall and a separate master bedroom with private master bath with tub/shower. Super clean! The kitchen is small with a two burner stove top and a microwave, but no oven. There is a propane fired BBQ. Nice mid-size fridge with small freezer. There are three restaurants available within 3 miles -- two within walking distance of the cabin. There is live music three nights per week -- within walking distance.
The Mckenzie River Trail begins about a half mile from the Cabin and goes all the way to Fish Lake -- about 26 miles. Tokatee Golf Course is just 3 miles close. Terwilliger (Cougar) Hot Springs is just minutes away. Belknap and Deer Creek Hot Springs are within 6 minutes. The lava flows of Belknap Crater at the top of the Old Pass (Hwy 242) is just 20 minutes. Proxy Falls, Sahalie Falls, Koosah Falls and The Blue Pool - all within 20 minutes. Clear Lake with small boat rentals is just 20 minutes. Only Two hours to the coast. Only an hour to Sisters. 30 minutes to the Pacific Crest Trail. Just 35 minutes to Hoodoo Ski Bowl and Snow Park. Only two hours to Mt Bachelor. Try the white water rafting. Bring your mountain bike. Bring your drift boat, raft, kayake or pontoon raft. Bring your fly rod or your favorite spin cast rod and real. Go to the TrailBridge spawning channels and watch the salmon and steelhead spawn. Hundreds of hiking trails within minutes. Lots of high cascade small lakes to hike into. The cabin is so nice and so clean, in an environment so pristine -- you might not go and do anything. We have high speed internet and cable TV. The cabin sleeps up to six guests.

Hosted by Jonathan and Lisa Mahody

We are Jonathan and Lisa Mahody, aka: RiverOceanViews Management, and we are honored to manage this special cabin on the Mckenzie River at The Log Cabin Inn in Mckenzie Bridge, Oregon. Our goal is to provide you with a safe place to enjoy your best vacation.
Here are our cleaning protocols:
1.We wear disposable gloves when cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. Gloves are discarded after each cleaning. If reusable gloves are used, those gloves are only used for cleaning and disinfection of surfaces.
2.We clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in household common areas (e.g. tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, light switches, remotes, handles, desks, toilets, sinks) between each renter.
3.We use the following disinfectants for cleaning the cabin; diluted household bleach solutions, alcohol solutions with at least 70% alcohol, and most common EPA-registered household disinfectants.
4.We clean the soft (porous) surfaces such as carpeted floor, rugs, and drapes, remove visible contamination if present and clean with appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces.
5.We launder items as appropriate in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. We wash towels, sheets and bedspreads with the warmest appropriate water setting (hot water) for the items and dry them completely.
6.We wear disposable gloves when handling dirty laundry and then discard after each use.

Why they chose this property
This cabin offers everything on one level, so there are no stairs within the cabin. The huge master bedroom also offers a private master bath. There is a unique built-in queen in the over-sized great room with gas fireplace. There is also a queen sized futon in front of the fireplace.
What makes this property unique
The screened in porch is also your point of entry into the cabin -- this design makes it easy to sit and take your shoes off or towel off the dog before re-entering the cabin after playing at the river's edge. The large grassy meadow provides separation between cabins and opens up a larger view of the river than from other cabins.
The kitchenette offers a two burner stove top, a medium sized microwave and a mid-size fridge. There's also a gas grill located just off the porch for your use.
