About this property

McKenzie Bridge River's Edge Retreat, a cozy cabin on over two acres

Your worries will fall by the wayside as you drive down North Bank Road. The trees fold over the road and the road simplifies to a one paved lane as you near this property. You will turn off the road onto a gravel drive, wind past the 'glass pond' and roll up to the cabin on a generous circular drive.

The sweet cabin awaits you! The robust McKenzie River roars past the cabin and you can almost reach out and touch the river from the deck. Throw open the huge sliding door and enjoy being on the river while tucked inside this sweet cabin. Tons of sunshine pours in from the three skylights in the living area, and if it is too much in the summer months, draw the automatic blinds and cool the deck with an automatic awning.

This well-appointed cabin is less than three miles from Tokatee Golf Course. Enjoy dinner out at two restaurants where N. Bank meets the highway, one with tantalizing brisket and the other with a lovely live music venue. Clear Lake, Sahalie Falls, Lost Lake and Belknap Hot Springs are all nearby. After a days adventure, come home and barbeque on the deck. The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking fun.

This cabin is great for a solitary weekend of introspection, an intimate weekend getaway for weary travelers, or a playful weekend for a small family. We have provided a generous dog run if you cannot leave your four-legged family members behind.

the high speed reliable wireless internet will keep you in touch (if you must) and the Spectrum cable stations with stepped up sports channels will not disappoint the most avid fans.

Relaxing and beautiful experience
We love this area on the Mckenzie River. We are happy to find a place overlooking the river and we can bring our dogs. Having the fenced side yard was perfect for the dogs to roam around safely outside. The house has a great view and was very comfortable. Remote but yet close to a store and restaurant. Not too far from Sisters and right down the street from Belknap hot springs. Definitely will rent again! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Perfect "Nature Therapy"
We visit this area several times a year, but this is our first stay here. A delightful property to stroll around, including a large pond with nice reflections. The sound of the river is incredible, being right off the deck, it's always with you, soothing. Clean, comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen. For those new to the area, a comprehensive folder to help with local eateries, places to go and much more. Mike, the host, responds to any inquiries quickly, with a real sense of caring. We will be returning...

Great Views
We wanted something tucked away for privacy and quiet, with the sounds of water at night when we slept. This is what we got, and so much more. The moss on the trees, the deer in the yard, the pond, the clean clean clean cabin with every high quality amenity needed was there. This cabin was perfect for 2-3 people, well equipped with a great BBQ, wood stove, and exceptional sleeping. Best bed my husband has ever slept in! Hiking trails are close, every where you turned was a beautiful site.

Exceptional!
This property is as advertised. Tucked along the McKenzie River is this private oasis that offers peaceful tranquility with stunning waterfront. Everything you need is provided. Observe fishing guides and kayakers on the river. Belknap hot springs was a treat. The fall colors were in full bloom. Will definitely return to this one!

McKenzie River bliss
My sister and I have done a fall Three Sisters backpacking trip for many years. This year both of us have some orthopedic challenges, so we opted for a day hiking weekend instead. I've always wanted to stay in a place right on the McKenzie River, and the photos of this beautiful river-view deck really appealed. The view did not disappoint! It was hard to tear ourselves away for the trails. I've stayed in a couple of Vrbo's and this was by far the best equipped, particularly the kitchen. There were even nice olive oils, spices, tea, and coffee in the cabinets and condiments in the refrigerator. The only surprise was several carpeted steps down to the bedrooms. This would not work for someone with significant mobility issues. (Thinking of our 84-year-old mother, for example.) I'd suggest putting a floor lamp or wall sconce over by the wood burning stove, as that corner of the room was pretty dark in the evening. Another small suggestion is elevating the decor in the small middle bedroom to a more "adult" look. The bed linens and colors in the larger bedroom were beautiful and my sister felt a little jealous. Our stay here made it very hard to contemplate going back to our tent in the wilderness next year!
