This little house was just what we needed. Good location to everything. The owner was extremely nice and helpful with quick responses to any questions we had. Hope to stay again!
There was a soft grate in the floor that needs replacing (it’s covered by a small rug). I thought I’d fall through the first time I walked in as it’s in the walkway. The beach gate was chained and locked so I got in through this little side fence area, it wasn’t safe but I didn’t want to disturb the owners because it was after midnight when my delayed flight got in. All in all the place was super clean, a great location and was exactly like the pictures. It is right off an exit in a pseudo-busy are (didn’t bother me, as mentioned in previous reviews).
Mark never sent information on property, until day of I had to call him several times which he did not answer and sent lock information late. It’s a sketchy area and had issues with an uber driver knocking on our door at 4 AM which lead to a 911 call. Mark did not help in any way, and beforehand repeatedly asked questions about my intentions at the bnb which were honest. Would recommend you getting another bnb
Property was perfect for my needs. Close to downtown and a short drive to the west side of town. Clean and comfy, bed was great and traffic noise wasn't bad at all.
Check in process was easy, house is spacious, great view from the front porch and great distance away from fun activities, restaurants/bars. Host was very professional and flexible.
We really enjoyed our one night at this place. It’s super cute with everything we needed to make a nice dinner in the kitchen. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to bring ear plugs as you can hear the noise from the freeway. But that was the only thing I can recommend for it. It was clean, easy check in/out, gated parking in the yard, and cozy.
Our family of 5 stayed here overnight on the way to AZ. Arrived around 8:30 PM. Easy access to secure gate & parking off alley behind property. Nice variety of food nearby & proximity to UT El Paso campus a plus. Neighbor's dog did bark some (but not all night as had been stated in some of the previous reviews) & there was road noise from being so close to I-10, but we came prepared with our noise machine. Overall, great stay & easy access on & off I-10 to continue on our trip.
Me and my niece came to El Paso for her to check out the UTEP school and campus. We really enjoyed how cozy and comfy the house was. Location was also great for both easy access to downtown and to the UTEP campus.
Only thing to be wary of is that if you are a very sensitive sleeper, the house is literally right off of I-10 and when we stayed there was more than 1 barking dog in the neighborhood to compete with as well. It didn't disrupt our stay, but I could see other travelers possibly could have a hard time with that.
Lastly, perhaps some motion sensitive lights around the gate where you access the property would be nice. I felt a bit self conscious using my cell phone light in an alleyway attempting to access the property. And also just some simple towel racks in both bedrooms would make a lot of sense as well.
All in all though, a great stay and we had a wonderful time staying in this home with the view of Mexico right in front of us!

Disliked: Check-in, communication
Amazingly poor experience
The property was pretty much as described. It was very clean, though there were some issues of disrepair.
Beyond that, it was an incredibly poor experience. The biggest problem we had was communication, or lack thereof. Upon booking, we sent Mark, the owner, a brief description of our trip as requested in the booking summary. We never heard back from Mark. About a week prior to our visit, VRBO sent us a "here's your information" email. In the email, it said if you haven't yet received your check-in information, message the owner. We did. No response.
Fast forward to check in day. Through no fault of Mark's, VRBOs servers were being updated. So, we called Mark directly. No answer. Sent him a text, no response. So, we called VRBO asking for help. Somehow, they were able to reach him. So Mark eventually texted us the access code we needed. At this point, we were upset but chalked it up to one of those things.
We arrive at the property, use the access code given and it does not work. We both tried with no luck. We tried for 10 minutes. Then we gave up and called Mark. No answer. Texted Mark. No response. We drove away to a grocery store and waited for Mark's response. An hour passes and still no response. At this point, we were furious. We called VRBO and insisted on a full. immediate refund. at a minimum. They then tried to reach Mark and surprise, surprise, Mark answered for them. At this point, we were driving back. We saw a female in a red car leaving the alley of the house. (Important - there are really maybe three houses that use the alley.) Mark tells us that we must be entering the code incorrectly. So we pull up, open the cover to the lock and the keys literally fall out. Human error is always possible. However, I took a video of the last time we tried to open the lock to share with VRBO and Mark.
What I am certain of: at some point from when we went to the grocery store and when we returned, the keys were unlocked. How? I cannot say. But that red car timing was very interesting. If they hadn't changed the code, just tell us. Things happen. But add to that ignoring multiple calls, multiple texts?
Two main issues with the property. After unpacking in one bedroom, we felt a draft and noise. The window frame was rotted and broken; the pane of glass just hanging.
The neighbors have a dog that barks all day & night. It is penned between the two houses in HORRIBLE conditions. Not Mark's fault.
Mark was great to work with as far as check in and any questions we had. Property is cute and clean. No issues with the actual property. The neighborhood is a little on the rougher side, so the locked gates were appreciated. Also, property is very close to freeway and railway so a little noisier than I'm used to.
Had a really nice stay at this great property while visiting El Paso for the first time for a friends Bachelorette weekend. The house looked exactly like the pictures and included everything it listed. The place was really neat and clean, beds were really comfortable, and my friend and I had a really nice evening in the house one night in between festivities watching movies and lounging around. AND the house is right next to a really cute café so we were able to get all our coffee needs met as well. Thanks for the lovely stay and for working with me during check in since I arrived so early!
The property was amazing and we really enjoyed our stay

Cozy little place. Overall cleanliness was awesome. Noise from the nearby highway was the only drawback. Could also use some curtains in the bedrooms for light elimination. Windows are very old so the noise from the next-door coffee shop was loud. Parking through the back is very difficult with a full-size pickup, but doable.
Nice cozy home. Everything you need was supplied. Couple of things could be improved. The oven could use a cleaning and some towel racks in the bathroom would have been nice.
The property is great for a staycation where you are just a few minutes away from some of El Paso’s greatest scenery and nightlife. The house is the perfect size for a small group and made for a great weekend.

Road Trip
Had to call David to get check in information, however he responded very quickly & promptly got us the info we needed. Couldn't figure out back door, so had to enter via front door. No light bulb in laundry room/back porch & bulb in backyard did not work.
Bedding was clean, kitchen was nice, house supplied our need for one night stay in El Paso.
Pros:
*Communication with property manager was AWESOME.
*House looked like pics.
*Family room was nice.
*Neighborhood was nice.
For us, the beds need to be improved. The cleaning could have been better. I did express my thoughts to manager who was very receptive and nice.
