Circa 1885 is a beautifully renovated, historic, open-floorplan home in downtown Santa Fe only a few blocks from the City Plaza, Canyon Road, Railyard District, museums, concert halls and the NM State Capitol Building. The home is spacious with 11'-12' high ceilings that welcome in the beautiful Santa Fe light, a modern full kitchen with dishwasher and gas range, a kiva wood-burning fireplace for cozy evenings and a private portal (porch) for sunny afternoons. The massive center adobe wall that divides the living space from the bedroom and bath was lovingly saved, reinforced and plastered as a sculptural homage to the home's legacy. Furnishings include a 19th Century Austrian Walnut wardrobe, luxurious solid wood four poster bed, an antique marble-topped vanity retrofitted with a vessel sink, Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams love seat and original lithographs from the 2019 Student Portfolio of UNM's prestigious Tamarind Institute. Immerse yourself in Santa Fe's rich heritage by making "Circa 1885" your home-base in Santa Fe.

Our commercial laundry service – the same laundry service used by most high-end hotels in Northern New Mexico - uses unscented, hypoallergenic detergent and extremely hot water. Sheets are lightly starched and ironed at 385 degrees.

Five stars all the way

This was a return visit to this lovely property. WE loved it on our first stay, and liked it even more this time around. Lance and Linda have done a superb job furnishing the Casa. Every detail reflects their careful attention to detail. The ambiance is simply lovely, and the location is perfect for a downtown Santa Fe retreat. We highly recommend this property.

First time to Santa Fe

We loved this property and its location was perfect. The renovation and preservation of the space was well done. Very charming! Would definitely stay again. The coffee shop across the street had incredible coffee and Paloma’s for dinner was just our scene.

A Gem…

Loved our stay…even extended for two nights, walked all over town and discovered the Railway area with farmers market and lovely restaurants. Fabulous coffee across the street, and bakery! Place is clean and cozy and bed is comfortable. I also enjoyed reading outside on the little patio in the sunshine.
