This is by far the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. The hosts are amazing. The design and details of the condo are off the charts!!! The theatre district with cool restaurants, pubs, distilleries is so convenient. Stop looking and start booking for your next trip to Winnipeg!
A spectacular stay. Hosts were incredibly friendly and kind, assisting us with baggage, helping us in to the building, and giving us a tour around the loft. Incredible amenities; dishwasher, washer/dryer unit, and lots of storage space for luggage. Simply stunning decor and building - up to date and accessible. YWG's annual Open Doors week-end is a great time to visit this city and stay in a property owned by people who are totally "open doors" in welcoming, caring and ensuring the happiness of their guests.
We had an amazing time at the Loft on James. The space was better than the photos show and the owners have gone above and beyond with the decor. I would highly recommend this property.

Martina and Bruce were very personable and accommodating hosts. The LOFTonJAMES was beautifully designed with the rich history of the Winnepeg area in mind! We loved the unique industrial touch. The highlighted wall map in the loft and their personal recommendations were definitely appreciated and so helpful. The location is near so many great Pubs and restaurants as well as convenient historical and shopping sites within walking distance. We definitely will recommend The LOFTonJAMES to friends and family!
The loft was exquisite and well located to the places that we wanted to visit. It was clean and unique. By following the explicit instructions there were no problems with check-in or check-out. We would highly recommend it.
The Loft on James looks just like the pictures. It was very clean and has interesting decor throughout. Beds were comfortable. Martina was an excellent host, friendly, available, and thoughtful. Getting in to the unit was a bit tricky but Martina came and showed us how to access the building and apartment. She shared information about the area and it's rich history. Appreciated the map on the wall with suggestions for places to visit and where to eat. Great place!

Why they chose this property
This is a true industrial loft, is preserved in all its' authenticity and century-old character and charm. The architectural features of this property were not lost during the redevelopment, as often happens to so many old buildings in this area. Timber ceilings are frequently hidden and covered in the renovations of these historic warehouses. This building's redesign preserved the massive timber framework, offering an unparalleled historic charm.
Our space also occupies the entire back and width of the building, which gives it 3 gorgeous outside brick walls, and 5 south and west-facing windows. This is very rare for the Exchange District.
This building was awarded the Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award of Excellence in tribute to this outstanding gentrification. If you want to stay in an authentic 100-year-old industrial loft, this is as close as you can get without traveling back in time!
