We loved our long weekend stay with our kiddos! Cloudy but overall great weather for October & amazing star gazing in hot tub one night! Really enjoyed the Manby hot springs hike. Just right for the kids! We found a baby sheep that grazed near the hot springs while we were there. Lovely home for an easy getaway from Denver! Thank you!!!!

This home was just magical. Full night sky with the Milky Way visible; magnificent sunsets from the hot tub, and the beautiful architecture of the home itself, was a once in a lifetime experience.And…. Absolutely take the directions provided by the owner and not the GPS! My partner may have thought he could do it his way, which turned out ok!

This place is perfect for a secluded place to get away for a while. Don't do what we did and put the address in if you're using GPS just put in the Taos airport and follow the host's directions from there. We had an amazing time hiking down the gorge, watching shooting stars from the hot tub at night, and cooking meals together in the kitchen. We have some hilarious pictures of our short friend standing on a stool to cook on the high counters.

Amazing Stay

We loved staying here- it was the perfect location for those who want to enjoy taos but feel remote. The hiking trails on property were cherry on top. We saw bighorn sheep and perfect views. Cozy and accomodating.

Wonderful house in a beautiful location

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at theRed Earth Palace Retreat! The house had everything we needed for our stay including amazing views and the perfect hot tub/deck set up to relax after long days of hiking and sightseeing. Our host was incredibly responsive and made sure all of questions were addressed. Highly recommend a stay here if you’re visiting the Taos region!

We loved this place! Perfect for our family of 4. Great views. We went during the covid lockdown so we just cooked and read and walked and soaked. It was perfect.

Red earth palace

Absolutely phenomenal stay in Taos, NM! This home was beyond amazing - from the cozy interior to the perfect location. The highlight was definitely the private hot springs hike, an experience like no other! Being able to unwind in the hot tub under the stars after a day of adventure was pure bliss. Plus, the convenience of being close to town added an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip. 10/10, would definitely stay here again!

Nice escape from the Texas heat!

We booked a week around Labor Day to escape the Texas heat. The setup was great for us and our 1 small dog. The host was very responsive and helpful with any questions. We enjoyed exploring Taos and a couple of rounds of golf along with needed relaxation!

A beautiful escape at the end of the road

This home is stunning! The red earth walls are warm and inviting and it's clear that the home is custom in every way. The french doors from each bedroom open up to beautiful views and comfy seating areas. We loved our stay so much, we extended it for an extra night. Katherin was a very gracious host and we had a wonderful stay! 10/10

New Mexico Oasis

The property itself had the perfect New Mexico ambience to it. For those that want to feel "off the grid" in a relaxing retreat will surely find that here. I stayed for skiing with friends and we really enjoyed having fires, watching the stars from the hot tub and using the kitchen which as everything you will need. I will cherish the memories here and certainly will consider coming back. This place is a HIDDEN GEM which makes me love it even more. Every amenity was provided for and not many property hosts get it right but these guys did!

The pictures for the house do not do it justice. We stayed a week for our 20th anniversary and it was perfect. You feel very isolated at the house but are less than 20 minute drive to specialty grocery store and fine dining. The hike to the hot springs and the stars from the hot tub at night were our favorite thing about our trip. We will definitely be back. Thank you Katherin for your wonderful recommendations and quick responses. :)

We have extensive experience with VRBO rentals, and this property certainly exceeded our expectations. It was a truly remarkable experience, and departing was challenging. The highlights included the home's architectural design, the secluded setting, the available hiking trails, the hot tub, and the tranquil environment perfect for observing weather patterns, celestial bodies, local wildlife, and hot air balloons. Furthermore, the convenient proximity to Taos and the UNESCO Pueblo site facilitated effortless shopping. We are eager to arrange a return visit.

The house is the most unique home i have visited. It is an ecletic collection of old west barn doors to adobe walls and other cultures sprinkled in. The 15 acres allow for views of the mountains, wild life and fresh air. Theres even a trail at the end of tge driveway to Manby hot springs. The house is located on a gravel road. While there are multiple ways to get there, i advise you only use the entrance directions provided by the host....its near the municipal airport. (We never saw a plane). If you choose to enter via another route be prepared for serious off roading....We enjoyed our stay, it allowed for us to relax and unwind.

An incredible, beautiful house and property! I particularly loved reading about how the house was built. The property speaks for itself: gorgeous, remote, and breathtaking. We spent most of our time on the porch in the wonderful hot tub or lounging on the comfortable chairs taking in the views. The stargazing was incredible!! Hope to visit again soon!

We had a great time at this unique and beautiful home! The home had everything we could need. We loved watching the sunsets and sunrises from the deck, gazing at the stars from the hot tub and taking a quick trip down to the hot springs - I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! The host was extremely communicative and made sure we felt right at home!

Communication with the owners was wonderful. They responded promptly and with the details we asked about. The house is absolutely beautiful and the property has stunning views from the deck/hot tub area (glorious to star-gaze from as well). We hiked directly from the property to Manby Hot Springs and the Rio Grande River. The counters/sinks are very tall (I am not very tall, worked okay for my spouse and son who are 6 ft.) If you are taking younger/shorter kids grab a step-stool if you have one.We would 100% stay here again and again.

Gorgeous Gorge

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! It is such a unique property with amazing views. For us, it is a perfect balance of privacy and serenity, but close to Taos or on the way to Abiquiu and Ghost Ranch. This was our second stay - with hopefully more to come in the future! Thanks again!

Starry Nights

We loved our stay at this unique home on the Rio Grande. It was wonderfully quiet with the best star gazing of any place we’ve been. We hiked the trails on the property, watched stars from the hot tub, and watched the hot air balloons on their tours of the river each morning from the patio. Although it is rural, it’s close enough to Taos to go in for lunch and shopping, an easy drive to the ski valley and the rafting trips. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful escape

This property is situated on a gorgeous piece of land that is peaceful and well-maintained. The place was perfect for our family of four. Our two boys shared the second bedroom, which had two beds. There was everything we needed to cook several meals, use the hot tub, and clean a load of laundry. The ride into town is not too far, with a great view as you go. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Wonderful stay near Taos

We loved our stay at The Red Earth Palace. It is a really cool house sited in a beautiful and somewhat remote area near Taos. It is along the Rio Grande where you can hike down to the hot springs. We had a very relaxing and peaceful weekend. The house itself is lovely and very clean. The kitchen is very well setup with all the tools you could possibly ask for. The host, Katherin, is wonderful and very easy to communicate with. Thanks for a lovely stay in your beautiful home.
