About Sanjay Poovadan
In 1979 as a new immigrant to the US , I came out to NM to attend St. John’s College in Santa Fe. Plato and Aristotle, Aeschylus and Shakespeare, Kant, Baudelaire, Einstein, and Dante brought me to NM. But it was this land itself, with its stark, bright light, dramatic landscape, rich culture and the many friendships I made here that kept me coming back. After a 13-year career working for a number of SF Bay Area retail companies (The Nature Company/Discovery Channel Stores, The North Face, Illuminations, Restoration Hardware, etc.), in operations, human resources and real estate/construction, including managing several multi-store roll outs, I followed the woman I love to northern NM in 2002, to set down roots, invest in real estate and to make Taos home. Here in Taos I have enjoyed becoming a part of a community that is diverse, creative and serious. There is nothing like involvement in the life and institutions of a community to build relationships and to make sense of how it all works. My own interests and those of my step children have been my guide: I became a part of the Taos Soccer Coalition, a couple of Acequias in the Taos Valley, the Friends of Anansi Charter School, the Board of the Taos Ski Team and Intermezzo of the Santa Fe Opera. In addition I served for six years on the Board of Visitors and Governors of St. John’s College which has campuses in both Santa Fe, NM and Annapolis, MD. Today I serve on the boards of the Taos Land Trust and of the Quail Roost Foundation. I believe in the long term value of real estate in northern NM.

Why Sanjay Poovadan chose Arroyo Seco
This is a home in the country, with breathtaking views, quiet, proximity to Arroyo Seco Village and Taos Ski Valley
What makes this House unique
Magnificent views--the bright and piercing morning light off the back of Taos Mountain greet each day; the last rays of sun set over the Rio Grande with El Pedernal as a back drop. All this is on a quiet dead-end lane in Arroyo Seco.

Great house with family
Is the second time we stayed at the house and is great to be with your family. Close to the skiing area.
Such a beautiful area
We enjoyed staying in this quaint Adobe style home during Christmas week 2019. It was minutes from Taos and only an hour and a half from Santa Fe and other points of interest. We we're lucky enough to see a white Christmas while we were here!!
Had fun in Taos
We enjoyed the remoteness of the House. We saw mule deer up close and what we think are prairie dogs next door.
Epic Spring Break
Our family of 4 (2 adults & 2 young adult children) made Stella Luna our home for 7 days over Spring Break and we were not disappointed! First, the house is very convenient to the Ski Valley, Arroyo Seco and Taos. We made several trips back and forth throughout our week and the drive/distance was never an issue.
When we arrived, we were welcomed by Bettina and shown around the house and provided some goodies which included fresh fruit, a bottle of wine and some delicious fresh local salsa and chips! The house is just as pictured...as a matter of fact, I almost felt like I had been there before just from looking through the pics several times and it was the perfect size for our family. The mountain view out the french doors while sitting on the sofa was incredible and the addition of the hot tub was needed and used a couple of evenings after a day on the slopes. We were lucky enough to have epic snowfall in the Ski Valley while we were there (40+ inches) and even though there was no snow when we arrived at Stella Luna, by the time we left we had received approx 4 inches which made the landscape and view even more beautiful.
The house had everything we needed from coffee grinder/maker, any pots & pans, utensils you would need as well as a pantry full of spices and common ingredients if perhaps you forgot something. I made note of the abundance of bath towels/washcloths as usually there are only a few you have to wash several times during your stay... but this house has plenty! We also appreciated the organic, green/clean soaps for dishes and laundry as our family uses the same at home so that was a nice touch.
Sanjay was very responsive when setting up our arrival time as well as when we had a slight issue with the door lock. He even contacted me the day after we arrived back home to ask if a ring he found belonged to us... it was my daughters that she had left & he promptly mailed it to us, which was very kind of him.
If we had one thing we would say could have been better (and its pretty much the only one thing) is the beds were quite uncomfortable. We are used to a Tempurpedic, both my husband and I have some back issues and the beds (both rooms) in our opinion were extra, extra firm & took a few nights to get used to.
This trip was the last family trip before our daughter goes off to college and it was certainly one for the books! As the title suggests, this was an Epic Spring Break and Stella Luna was the perfect place to stay!
Taos Valley ski week
We were met and welcomed on a late Saturday night arrival. The host gave us a bottle of wine and basket of fruit to greet us. The house is well appointed and very comfortable. If we had one wish, it would be for a more user friendly coffee maker.
Everything was great
