DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. This cabin was absolutely unacceptable. We walked into a rental with an overpowering, suffocating musty odor, black grime on the floors, dusty surfaces, and plumber’s glue globbed onto the bathroom fixtures. This was NOT the clean, comfortable vacation rental any family should expect. The odor was so unbearable that we left at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday rather than continue staying there with our babies. As parents, we will NEVER apologize for putting children first. Our babies deserved a clean, comfortable environment, not a cabin that left us questioning whether it was appropriate to keep them there. We spent our vacation dealing with stress and concerns instead of making memories as a family. That is completely unacceptable. And the host? Her attitude made an already terrible experience even worse. Instead of showing basic compassion or taking our concerns seriously, she blamed the smell on plumbing work and the wooded location. She was extremely unkind and actually accused us of violating the pet policy because our dog jumped on the couch. The audacity to focus on that while dismissing our serious concerns about the property says everything about how this situation was handled. We are also left dealing with a damaged Pack ’n Play that we believe was affected by the odor. The condition of this cabin and the host’s treatment of our family were beyond disappointing. We deserved basic cleanliness, professionalism, and respect. We re

Oh, I see you have included new, never-before-seen photos just for your review; how dishonest & underhanded of you…your true colors are shining through! Could you not be any more transparent as to what you are? It’s so funny when a scammer thinks they have the perfect-fool-proof-sure-to-get-a-refund creative complaint. What great entertainment! Bravo to these scammers for attempting the most predictable scams in the vacation rental playbook! After 19+ years and 12 properties, I thought I had seen it all. But this one had a different twist: a photo of a foot.. Yep…A FOOT They kicked off their vacation by sending me a beautifully framed portrait of a dirty bare foot sole to insist the floors were "filthy." Wanting to call their bluff, I IMMEDIATELY OFFERED TO SEND SOMEONE TO INSPECT & RECLEAN RIGHT THEN & THERE. SUDDENLY, ABSOLUTE SILENCE. NO REPLY. Nothing until the next day. Why the delay? Because when a host offers immediate proof & a physical inspection of a pristine, freshly cleaned & mopped cabin, a scammer needs time to regroup for their next move. When I saw the bottom of that foot, I just had to know (lol) if that could be accomplished alone….. I went to full Detective Columbo mode & tried to take that exact photo of my own foot. Verdict? Unless your knee joints bend backward and you can hold a camera with your ears, it is anatomically impossible. This was a two-person family conspiracy. All the while I was holding an ace up my sleeve: time-stamped photos & a video, 2 hours before their arrival, showing the floor was still wet & sparkling clean as the housekeeper mopped herself right out the front door. So, I just secretly held to them because I know the pattern of scammers…contacting VRBO will be their next move. You spent your vacation dealing with stress? Oh, no. You spent your vacation auditioning for a free vacation. You had better believe I have the "audacity; to stand my ground & I have absolutely no intention of showing kindness or compassion to people like you, now or ever. Let's clear up my lack of kindness & compassion right now! You clearly got caught red-handed violating the Pet Policy. You claim your dog merely "jumped up on the couch.’ OMG YOU HAVE YOUR PHYSICS IN REVERSE. Your dog was fast asleep, living his best life, napping on my couch, when the housekeeper walked in; he jumped down to greet her. You know, the ACTUAL WAY GRAVITY AND DOG LOGIC WORK. LOL I should have thrown you all out on your keisters right then and there. The absolute crown jewel of your comedy routine is the "damaged Pack ’n Play" that was supposedly "affected by the odor." Is that really the best you can do? After 7+ years of owning this cabin, & somehow this mysterious, phantom smell chose to lie dormant all those many years, only to magically appear exclusively waiting for your arrival. You even claimed a strong gas smell in a fully electric cabin. But hey, thank you for bringing up that phantom smell—you completely played yourself. Your sad sob story that you fled after the first night because of your children’s safety was proven a lie; you were there on day 3... SECURITY CAMERAS DON’T LIE! It’s always hilarious to see the lengths guests will go to for a free vacation. These scammers soon learned I was not buying what they were selling, so they started calling VRBO. One time? OH NO, OVER THE COURSE OF A WEEK, BEGGING FOR MONEY!! The image in my mind of them calling over & over with brand-new lies —while housekeeping's 20+ time-stamped photos and video just sat there waiting to destroy their case—was absolute perfection & priceless. VRBO’s verdict, same as mine--ZERO REFUND to these scammers! Now, what? I revenge review full of lies, of course! Next time you vacation, try saving up for it instead of trying to get a free one on the host's back. Imagine trying to scam a host whose housekeeper always takes time-stamped photos/videos. Only the Big Toe Bandit would try that!! Thanks for the laugh. Well, would you look at that! The Country Lovesong cabin has 169 REVIEWS WITH A 9.4% EXCEPTIONAL RATING

The cabin is in a beautiful, quiet location, yet a short drive to Pigeon Forge. There was plenty of yard for our dog and a big shady porch that all of us enjoyed. The cabin has many amenities including WiFi and a Roku tv. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great host, very communicative and friendly. If you’re looking for a secluded, dog-friendly place, that has everything else you need, give this location a try. So cute and fell in love with the porch up in the trees. Hot tub was very nice perk after hiking, too. Our dog enjoyed it, as well.

This cabin met our three main goals. Secluded, Pet Friendly and a Hot Tub. We would 100% stay here again. We brought our three dogs and their three crates. Lots of steps to carry crates up but we would do it again. Great outdoor potty area for our pups that was safe. I would suggest getting rid of the old dog house in the fenced in area but other than that it was a nice spot/area. We never leave our dogs unattended outside so they were never left in there by themselves. The porch was large, safe and a wonderful place for the dogs to play on with their toys while we enjoyed the hot tub in the mornings and late evenings. We have NO complaints at all and highly suggest this cabin if you like a secluded area and enjoy bringing your pups. We greatly appreciate being able to have them there with us. If you are looking to make coffee make sure and pack small coffee filters. We did not know this and brought our fresh ground coffee and creamer but did not get to enjoy it without having filters. There is a nice Keurig though for people who enjoy those also. Geri was wonderful and everything was outstanding and perfect for us. It was an amazing beautiful week. We did not have any problems with traffic including rod run as we took the back roads. We spent most of our time enjoying nature including Caves Code, Roaring Fork and Cherokee NC. Thank you Geri for hosting us.

This cabin was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, it felt warm, peaceful, and genuinely homey in a way that is hard to find. Tucked away in the woods, quiet and cozy, it was exactly what we needed during Christmas break to slow down and truly enjoy time together as a family.Geri, the host, was phenomenal. Thoughtful, responsive, and incredibly welcoming, she clearly takes pride in creating a space that feels special rather than just a rental. Every detail inside the cabin added to the charm. It felt lived in, loved, and comfortable, not staged or sterile. My wife and I brought our daughter here for her birthday over Christmas break and took her to Dollywood, which made the trip even more unforgettable. After long days on our feet and standing in lines, the hot tub was an absolute godsend. Coming back each evening, soaking under the trees, and finally relaxing together felt amazing and was honestly one of the highlights of the trip.Sitting on the porch, enjoying the quiet, laughing, and unwinding as a family created memories we will always cherish. This was not just a place to stay. It was part of the experience. We had the best time, and I cannot recommend this cabin or Geri enough. We will absolutely be back, whether it is this cabin again or checking out her other properties in the area.

We traveled with our young Golden Retriever and we couldn't be happier with the setup. There was plenty of space for the dog and a safe enclosure in the back were she could run exercise and explore. The rooms were spacious and we really appreciated how secluded we were even when we were relatively close to the main road. The best part of the whole experience was dealing with our host Geri. I had some issues while booking and she was so diligent and helpful. She made the frustration of dealing with an unresponsive Vrbo website and a less than helpful hotline go away dealing with the issue like and expert IT person. Thank you so much for that!

Quaint cozy cabin in a quiet area. Plenty of games and movies provided for entertainment if you bring kids. Close to Pigeon Forge for entertainment and restaurants. Cabin was clean, could smell the pine sol when we arrived but it aired out quickly. Overall, we enjoyed our long weekend here!

Cozy cabin matched the description perfectly, if anything- it may have been a little more charming in person. Maintaining something this far off the grid and carved into the side of a mountain is no simple task, but this host makes it look easy. Courteous hints, reminders and labeling made getting adjusted during check in very comfortable. Instructions for check out were clear and simple.Very pet friendly porch area that had a rustic vibe that allowed me to feel at ease with a dog in an unfamiliar environment. Something that looks lived in and but taken care of gave me a chance to breathe without fear that it would’ve been TOO obvious I had a dog with me.Would easily recommend and definitely stay for another Smokey Mountain getaway.

Disappointed

1. Once we left the highway the 1/4 mile dirt/stone/rock road to the cabin driveway was full of pot holes to include deep ones. 2. The driveway to the cabin was extremely steep. Several time the tires on my car would spin trying to get to the top. 3. The shower curtain liner was had mold across the bottom and even in the middle. I actually through it away and replaced it with a new one. 4. The kitchen sink was not secure with the countertop and had a gap around it. 5. The cabin itself was quaint and the setting was quiet. The porch was great for our pet.

Pamela, you say you were disappointed.... can you imagine how disappointed I was to receive your "book" of complaints? You whined about ice on the freezer door, you whined about a loose doorknob, you whined about how the bathtub drained, you whined about a dripping faucet, you whined about loosened clasps underneath the sink, did you think the sink wasn't attracted to the plumbing & it was going to rise out of that hole & going to go flying across the kitchen? Just what did any of that really have to do with you enjoying your few vacation days? Did you go to the mountains to make an inspection of my property, or to enjoy the wonderful private 3 acres of peacefulness at this cabin that others seem to enjoy? How about this?.....The fact that there are no mountain roads to climb to go to the cabin? That all the roads going there are perfectly flat main roads? That this cabin is so conveniently located to all the activities in Pigeon Forge? That the covered porch allow your dogs to be safe while you enjoyed the hot tub on that porch? And, all the many other amenities that this beautiful cabin offered? You whined about the short gravel road (not a dirt road as you described) that had potholes...yes, potholes happen to every gravel road when there are days & days of hard rains; you would need to talk to God about that. I have no control over a road that I do not own. Maybe I am different, Pamela, but I don't meddle in other folks' business & tell them what is needed & when it needs to be done. That is their business, not mine! BTW....I just left the cabin today, right after you left, and the road has already been repaired & is free of potholes. So, I guess the road crew decided to wait until the rain stopped & not to do the work in the pouring rain, you think? I doubt any business owner would like a customer to come in & start inspecting & tell the owner how to run their business, I CERTAINLY DON’T! Why don’t you try that at the next restaurant you go to, Pamela? Then see how fast you find yourself out on the street. It is called “minding your own business.” Then you whined about the shower curtain. If you had followed my written instructions & notified me, a new shower curtain would have been brought to the cabin & put up for you. Maybe you did not do that because it would have meant one less thing for you to whine about. Next, you whined about my driveway being extremely steep. I dispute that & I have posted pictures of the driveway & the short gravel road for everyone to view & judge for themselves just how bad & steep OR NOT the driveway & the gravel road is! I have been going to this cabin for over 6 years & have never had my tires spin, NOT EVEN ONCE, but I am smart enough to know when climbing even the slightest mountain driveway to use the lowest gear. If you had read the information that I sent you, then you would have known to do that, too. And, I NEVER had to back down the driveway as you claimed you had to do because there is plenty of room to turn around in the parking area. How much room do you need to turn around? I turn around & head straight out of the driveway. If you couldn’t, perhaps it is time for some driving lessons & replacement of your old bald tires. Or, maybe just skip your next vacation & spare the next host your "book" of complaints because I am sure you will find plenty to whine about even if the next place you rent is perfect!

Amazing property

We were looking for a quiet peaceful weekend getaway and that is exactly what we got. This cabin is secluded and peaceful. There is a small stream across the road that you can hear from the deck of the cabin. The cabin is beautifully decorated and we loved all the decorations. The furniture was comfortable and we didn’t have any trouble with WiFi or tv. The hot tub was amazing. We had a bear visit and walk across the driveway one day. It was really hard to leave and will definitely be renting this cabin many more times in the future.

Cozy and Quiet

We had a wonderful stay at Country Love song. My husband, myself and two children ages 3 and 5 fit perfect in this cabin. It was very secluded and still close to town! My kids had a blast playing in the yard and finding sticks to build a fire with, I wasn’t worried about them being outside at all! I loved the decorations of the cabin, everything felt like home and could tell love had been put into it. The covered closed in porch was the perfect place to relax with my morning coffee. We will definitely be back!
