Less than a 10 minute drive to Trinity Lake and Trinity Center, this large open home is a great spot for enjoying family time, or to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature all around. This home is located at the gateway to the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Just a few minute drive to the Carrville Pond (home of the annual kids fishing derby) and Trinity River access. Only a mile and a half away from Trailhead Pizza (highly recommended!) and less than a five minute walk to the historic Carrville Inn Resort. Boat ramp in Trinity Center is about a ten minute drive. Only 6 reservations taken per season (June-Oct). Currently booked; contact for waiting list. Cell phones may or may not work here but there is a landline for local phone calls. WiFi is Starlink. There is a SmartTV and a selection of DVD's available (no cable tv). The full bed is located in its own room right off the master bedroom, separated by a privacy curtain (there is another entrance to this room from back deck). Up to two well-behaved dogs (must be current on their flea prevention medication please) are welcome for an additional $100 flat fee but we request that they only enter the house with clean paws and never left unattended. Inclement weather can cause unexpected power outages or excessive snow on roads leading to the home (we will be understanding should that occur during your planned stay and fully refund any unused nights). This home is cooled with central air conditioning and there are many house fans. Shared private driveway is unpaved.
We may be able to accommodate an early check-in, so you're welcome to inquire.

Once again, had a fabulous stay with my pups. Couldn't ask for a better property or host. Can't wait to come back!

Kelley is a wonderful repeat guest and I look forward to her and her pups visit each time. She always goes above and beyond clean-up procedures; you would never know she was staying with dogs unless she told you. Always communicates well and is extremely considerate of our home.
This is the perfect place for us when we head to the Trinity Alps for our annual get away. We couldn't have asked for a better home or hostess.

I am so happy you enjoyed your stay, and I look forward to hosting you again someday :)
As always, I left here feeling lucky to have the best property with the best host in the best location. The new internet service is great & I can't wait to test on the new A/C (being installed this week) when my dogs & I returnnext summer!

As always, you're one of our favorite guests and we love that you love this place so much! We are also very excited that the new AC will make it more comfortable for you and the pups in the summers ahead!
House was really lovely. Had a little trouble finding at first. Directions were very helpful. Homeowner was very accommodating.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the home. Sorry if it was a little hard to find for you and I'm glad the directions I sent you made it easier. GPS doesn't work well in this area because it is off the main road and service can be very limited.
We booked this house for a fishing trip we had 6 Trucks and $ boats and with some effort were able to park all of this stuff properly...there were eight guys and we all had our own space to sleep using both couches but still thats awesome.....We cooked big meals each night and the kitchen had everything we needed....Close to the lake...beautiful views...awesome fishing....Great stay and we loved our trip

Thank you for the great review, and taking such good care of our home during your stay. It was a pleasure hosting you and your fishing buddies and we hope you’ll come back again.
We had a great stay. The home has plenty of space for a small group, with multiple rooms you have access to. There is also a garage that we didn't use. We were a little concerned about the parking since I was bringing a jet ski to the lake for the day. However there was room for multiple cars in front of the garage and I was able to back the jet ski up on the side of the house without blocking the road.
Clean and comfortable, with well-equipped kitchen, lovely deck. No small salad or dessert size plates, so bring your own if you need them.
If you like to read in the evening bring a headlamp or book light because lighting is a bit dim in some rooms.

I'm always open to suggestions :) I will look into adding some small salad/dessert plates and brighter bulbs for the bedroom lamps.
We had a wonderful time and are already planning to come back next summer. The host Brandie is extremely responsive and accommodating. The house is well equipped with everything you need and the beds were very comfortable. The property and grounds are beautiful and there wasn’t a day that we didn’t see deer either in the front yard or near the driveway when coming and going. Our favorite part about the house was the deck. The patio furniture was comfortable and there was a large umbrella that could be opened to provide shade during the day and a fire pit to enjoy at night. The view of the alps was also very nice and the propane bbq was a plus because we really love to bbq. The location is perfect because you feel secluded but are close to everything including Trailhead Pizza, the winery, the pond for fishing, Trinity Center with its eateries and general stores and the boat launch. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back in June!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review, I’m so happy you enjoyed every part of your stay. I’m looking forward to hosting you again next year!
We spent a week with our son's family, including our 4-year-old grandson, and we all enjoyed our visit. Brandie's home is very comfortable and the kitchen is reasonably well-equipped for home cooking. Everything was very clean. The view from the house and deck is amazing. We enjoyed a hike to Boulder Lake, which was pretty and offered wonderful views of Mt. Shasta. We were a bit shocked at the extremely low lake levels and wonder how the businesses dependent on tourism can survive. BTW, the pizza at Trailhead Pizza is fabulous. Thank you to Brandie and her family for sharing their home.
