In the winter, you can walk Gold Run Nordic Center for some cross-country skiing or take the ski shuttle to the base of Peak 8 at Breckenridge Ski Resort. In the summer, hop on your bike or lace up your hiking boots and hit the miles of great trails right outside your door, including the popular Peaks Trail. Your group will thank you for booking the perfect base camp for your mountain adventures!

Peak 8 Getaway Condo is a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo that can accommodate groups of up to eight. The living area is spacious with comfortable furnishings and a large flat-screen TV. Snuggle up after a long day playing in the snow next to the wood fireplace that helps to tie the entire Colorado high-country experience together. The kitchen features updated stainless-steel appliances and is fully stocked with all the gear you’ll need to whip up a great mountain meal. There is room for everyone to enjoy a meal at the kitchen counter, which doubles as a dining room table with seating for 8 people.

There’s a balcony just off the living area where you can relax and enjoy the cool mountain air. There’s even a gas barbeque grill for grilling some steaks or burgers! Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi and basic toiletries. Great location and place to stay. Very close to the free bus and convenient to downtown Breck. Super easy access to peaks 7 and 8 as well. The place itself was perfect and clean for our needs!!

Great cozy Getaway

The apartment was very clean and perfect for our snowboarding trip. Easy access to peak 7 & 8 using the free shuttle and the stop is footsteps away. Great kitchen with everything needed to cook. If your trip is strictly to snowboard or ski this is the place to rent.

We stayed here for a ski trip and loved the location. The bus stop was like 100 feet from the door and it takes you anywhere you need to go for free. We also thought the unit was very clean and well-kept. I'd definitely stay here again if it was available.

We liked that the property was on the shuttle route. The master room bed was comfortable. Could use some more lighting in the kitchen. We did get splinters from the cedar walls, so be careful.

The apartment was clean and everything worked properly, except the couch bed was broken, but the management company dropped off an air mattress for us to use. It IS worth noting that this spot isn't appropriate for people with limited mobility or in wheelchairs. The bunks are also rail-less, as you can see in the photos, so not appropriate for small children either.

Great location, property has some work

Overall, our experience with the property managed by Summit Mountain Rentals through VRBO was mixed. While the management team was extremely attentive and responsive to our concerns, the property itself left much to be desired. One of the major issues we encountered was with the outdated bathroom, which could pose a significant challenge for the advertised capacity of accommodating eight adults. Additionally, the kitchen equipment was mismatched and in need of updating, requiring us to request new pans and deal with a malfunctioning oven that was substituted with a toaster oven, which was not ideal. On a positive note, the bedrooms were satisfactory, and the property's location on the shuttle route was convenient. Furthermore, the interior decor was appealing, providing a pleasant atmosphere during our stay. However, for a prolonged stay, improvements beyond sleeping arrangements and location would be necessary to enhance the overall guest experience. With some updates and attention to detail, this property has the potential to provide a very enjoyable stay for future guests.
