This was an amazing apartment in a fantastic location, with everything we needed during our stay. We really enjoyed our time here and would certainly go back.
Great location, Apt. was exactly as described on the website. Many good restaurants and shopping in the area. We purchased a 7 day transit pass which allows unlimited use of bus, tram or boats.Thank you for a wonderful time in Bordeaux Ken & Terry
Give it some hand rails for the first flight of stairs wife is 80 snd i am 77 yo.
terrific location! great train stops Demeter Resturant is wondrrful and just two doors down. too expensive bare walls no decoratiins to soften the edges. great washung machine
The apartment has an unbeatable location — open the front window and you’re looking at Porte Caillhau, like your own personal castle. Trams are an easy walk, and you can jog along the river. Should mention it’s on the third floor — that’s fourth to Americans. My partner thought that would be a problem, but he quickly got used to it. Good exercise!
Enjoyable first time in France and would recommend it to family and friends for a Bordeaux visit
Ideal location to enjoy Bordeaux. Flat very well equipped and comfortable albeit quite a number of stairs to climb (we were off opinion only had two flights to go up not three, but of course we did not check the European way!). Right on the doorstep of the river and hub of bars and restaurants BUT we had very peaceful nights sleep. Plus brilliant supermarket just around corner. Trams amazing and would advise to carefully check the street numbers before getting off to find pick up point for keys etc, again probably just us not been so tech savvy! Host very helpful and replied to any queries
Did Saint Emillion wine and lunch day trip which was well worth money. For a quiet day we went across river to the right bank and spent time in the Botanic Gardens with a lovely quiet lunch on riverfront, well worth a visit to chill.
Will be recommending to family and friends and apartment ideal for two.
This apartment could not have been in a better location.
Pros:
Great location
Great communication
Clean Apartment
Close to restaurants and city sights
Large apartment.
Cons:
Day one there were homeless people all day sitting on the front steps. They tried to communicate with us every-time we left. It made my wife very uncomfortable. The following day they were gone so everything back to normal.
Also, the apartment is three flights of steps up, not two. For us it didn't matter, but for some it could be an issue.
Really great place for the price and wonderful communication with the owners.
