Great location & just as described. Easy walk or quick drive into town & right by the main route to head north into the parks. Would definitely stay again
Location is key, 10 min walk to Jackson town square and 20mins to Grand Tetons National Park. Saw plenty of wildlife (including beavers) at river by the cabins. Would stay here again.
The location was perfect! The only complaint was that the master/king bed had 2 separate twin mattresses (that spread apart), which left a hole/gap between them which was not comfortable. For the price of the cabin; the bed should be more comfortable.
My wife and planned a quick ski trip chasing some snow to Jackson Hole. This place was very reasonable, very clean and a close walk to town. Then only about 25 minutes to the mountain. Perfect for us and our Mini Aussie!
We stayed a couple of nights to meet another family in Jackson. It's walking distance to the shops/ breweries in town, I liked that we had a kitchen, the place was dog friendly (our dog Jackson was very happy), and accessing the place was very easy. The place was clean and we were provided with pretty much everything you need after a long day of being outdoors. Only reason I gave 4 stars, is because the main bedroom bed had two mattresses and rolling in the middle of the night onto an empty space/ hole wasn't very comfortable. Otherwise, it was a great place.
The staff were very responsive per text message and email. We loved the location. It doesn't get a lot better if you want to stay in town and still feel a bit of seclusion. The rooms were perfect for us because we did have a dog. We bring blankets to cover the furniture, but you can tell there have been dogs in the past. We will be back!
Great location in Jackson. Small cabin but plenty of room for four adults and a big dog. We split king into 2 twins which was great. Having laundry and 1 and 1/2 bath was convenient. The cabin is a little dark due to shade of mountain and surrounding buildings.

Replace the beat up furniture!
The cottage was cute. right on the river and close to downtown. But take some pride in keeping it up to the standard of the price we are paying for the property please.
The furniture was so beat up and old (Pillows don't hide the dingy couch)! the kitchen table was broken! Spend a few dollars to buy new furniture!

Ideal for dogs. Humans, not so much.
This unit is very worn down. There isn’t a comfortable place to sit in the whole condo. All of the furniture looks like it was purchased at a secondhand shop, but 10 years ago. There is no carpeting. In other words, it’s an ideal place to leave your dog while you’re out skiing. But not so great to hang out in yourself.
I don’t know that I’ve ever stayed in a rental property that didn’t offer even salt and pepper, or a sponge.
The location is ideal, and the hot tub is very nice. It’s quiet. The property managers are very reachable.

Hi Sarah,
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback! We are glad to hear that you found the central location of Alpine Cottage 3 suitable for your vacation, and appreciate your kind words regarding our team!
We are very disappointed to learn of the lack of salt, pepper and a kitchen sponge, as these are certainly standard amenities that we do our best to keep stocked for each new reservation. We apologize that this was overlooked, and would have been happy to replenish these items had we been made aware during your stay.
We are also disappointed to hear that the interior of the unit did not meet expectations, and do appreciate your feedback regarding the furniture and carpeting. We take this feedback seriously, and have since ordered a new rug for the living room area, as well as a new kitchen table. We are in the process of ordering a new set of chairs for the living room area as well, to enhance the overall interior and future guest experiences.
We would absolutely love the opportunity to host you for a seamless stay, should you ever return to the area in the future!
Best,
The Outpost Crew
Wonderful little cabin to suit our family of 5. We loved the location and that it was walkable to the Jackson square and visitors center. There were plenty of towels for showers/hot tub which we were grateful for! However, the bed linens were NOT great. One bedroom was ok, but in the other, the down comforter did not have any covering and was stained with blood spots and other things. There were also not any blankets for the beds, only sheets laid on top of the duvet. Also, although the kitchen had enough plates/cutlery for cooking etc, it did not have any sponges or dish cleaning brushes, so we had to purchase those at the local grocery store. Overall, good location and cozy but hopefully next time some things will be improved.

Very poor response to maintenance request
The air conditioning never worked even though they had someone show up twice. We were never contacted by the property manager for follow up. It was so hot it was difficult to sleep.

Hi John,
We are terribly sorry to hear that you had a one star stay at Alpine Cottage Studio. We apologize for any confusion caused, as our team did leave you a voicemail explaining the latest developments with the air conditioning, on which we never heard back from you. As soon as you let us know the home wasn't getting as cool as desired, we sent our maintenance manager to take a look, and he changed the filters and indicated that we should hire a technician to take a second look. We were fortunate to be able to schedule a last minute appointment with a technician, who told us he was able to get the air conditioning fully functioning again, which we relayed to you over voicemail. We haven't had any air conditioning complaints since, so we do believe the problem was resolved during your stay, but we are terribly sorry to hear that you never received your voicemail and that this left you with a one star impression of your stay. If you ever return to Jackson Hole, we would love to host you for a seamless experience.
Sincerely,
The Outpost Crew
This was a perfect home base from which to do some beautiful hikes in the Tetons. Its location, walking distance from town, meant that after a long day in the mountains we could just relax, wander in to town for dinner, and still have time to enjoy the hot tub before bed. The place was cute and had everything we needed, and we especially loved having our coffee on the little chairs in front is the river. Thank you so much for the lovely stay!
I stayed here with my mom and small dog for 4 nights. Overall, the property is in a great location in walking distance to Jackson Hole town square and an easy drive to Grand Teton National Park.
I was disappointed that unit 3 was in the middle of the row of cabins, as the pictures advertised showed chairs by the creek, which I took to believe was this unit's backyard. Not the case.
The furniture in the living room was beat up and rather smelly, which made relaxing after a long day of hiking a little uncomfortable. Also had a lot of issues working the TV/cable box - need better instructions. Can't tell if it was user error or if the cable wasn't working.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but fixing those two things would have made it perfect.
This cabin was perfect for my husband and I with our dog. It was a short 10 minutes walk into town but scenic with the river right next to us. It was easy to find and check in and check out process was quick and easy. The furniture was a bit worn down if you plan on sitting in the condo for a long time but overall was a great experience.
We loved the location of this property. Right downtown Jackson and central to everything. This rental has been worn hard. The couch was badly torn and stained. The washer had a lot of black mold. We loved the communication with the Outpost team and would love to stay here again, it just needs a little attention.
Cozy, quiet, dog-friendly cabin within walking distance to town
Wonderful, cozy cabin in a great location (Cabin #3). We enjoyed using the hot tub and sitting by the river with a glass of wine in the evenings. Very dog friendly. Only small suggestion would be to put an anti-slip, colored grip strip on the intermediate step that goes from the house to the deck with the hot tub. It's not very noticeable that there's a step down there, and more than one person tripped over it. This would be an easy fix to keep anyone from getting hurt!
