About this property
Cozy Lakefront Cottage in mid-coast Maine
Welcome to the newly listed Cozy Cottage. Property is a small, private, 1-2 bedroom home on a private lake with beautiful three-season porch on two, wooded, acres. The home is only 10 minutes from Belfast, Maine and 20 from Camden!
Enjoy using the kayaks or canoe on the lake as the eagles fly overhead and the loons call nearby. Sip your favorite beverage on the porch in view of the quiet, private lake, or in the Adirondack style chairs at the shorefront. Life jackets, lawn games, and additional outdoor gear is stored on the porch for guest's use.
This sweet, quintessential, property has a fully equipped kitchen with all appliances, lobster necessities, and dining area. Coffee lover's dream with Keurig, coffee pot, and espresso machine options. The open concept living room is comfortable and full of natural light. The home offers a queen-size bedroom and additional bedroom with a double futon, both on the second floor. There is one, downstairs bathroom complete with stand-shower and stackable washer/dryer.
*Please note: The staircase is steep going up to the bedrooms, which should be taken into consideration when booking. Also, the short path to the lake is rustic (clear and visible, but does have dips and exposed tree roots to step over.) Property is not intended for young children.
There is a grill and picnic table available for Barbequing and Roku tv access with Netflix and Prime Video.

About the host
Hosted by Liza

Sara visited Maine as a child with her dad, who always had a dream to have a little cabin on a lake. Before her dad passed away, though he never gave himself his dream, he was able to visit and enjoy canoeing, and lobster dinners served up on the porch watching and listening to the loons with Sara. Belfast is still a community of people who are patient, kind and look out for one another ... life the way it should be!!
Why they chose this property
This is a very special place, as there is no public landing. So, most of the time, you'll have the lake to yourself if/when out in the kayak or canoe, or swimming, sunning, or just sitting on the shore enjoying the birdlife. Sometimes, you'll get quite a show of the eagles dancing and swirling overhead as they chase the fish below.
What makes this property unique
Belmont is conveniently located ten minutes from Belfast, where the Hannaford food market is available for all your food, liquor and pharmaceutical needs. Downtown has a wonderful food Co-op, complete with deli, cafe and natural foods, as well as local produce. There is a farmer's market on Fridays and Saturdays. Belfast is an arts community with plenty of galleries, festivals, theater and/or picnics on the harbor front with a walking and cycle-friendly promenade. There is a public, outdoor pool in the park, a YMCA with fitness facilities and indoor swimming pool, and bicycles for rent at the local cycle shop. There is so much to do, it's hard to choose. A welcome guide is provided in the home and full of recommendations for events, restaurants, shops, and area attractions.
