This beautiful and updated mountain chalet has abundant flexible space that can be used as one consolidated unit for a large group, or 2 separate living spaces for multiple families and smaller groups to have their own private spaces with complete kitchens, outdoor accommodations and stone wood burning fireplaces.
Teens can have privacy hanging out in their own lower 2 bedroom unit while young children have their space to hangout in the game/media room complete with board and card games and toys, 3 arcade machines, an xBox with access to Xbox live games, and color TV. The 4 chairs in the game room unfold into twin mattresses suggested for child/teen sleeping only.

The kitchens have stainless appliances, granite counter tops and are equipped with high quality cooking essentials to ensure meal prep is easy or as chef-inspired as you desire. Spend your time engaged in mountain activities or just relax and enjoy all that surrounds you at the top of the town of Seven Devils. Hawksnest is your view from the back of the house or walk out the front door and take in the view of Sugar Mountain. Attend a college football game or other local event such as skiing Sugar, Beech or Appalachian Mountains (or all 3), while also having 5 minute access to snow tubing at Hawks Nest. There is access to fly fishing, rafting or swimming at nearby Elk River and boating at Watauga Lake, and abundant and easy access hiking throughout the N.C. and T.N. High Country areas.
Hawkswatch can be your vacation destination for ultimate relaxation or maximum adventures, whichever you and your guests prefer.
During the winter months, most mountains require 4-wheel drive or chains. While all roads are paved access to the house and the town does plow the roads, it could be delayed during periods of heavy snowfall. Both driveways are paved flat on one and a slight downward slope on the 2nd driveway.
There is no snow-removal service for driveways, walkways, decks and porches on the property but snow shovels are provided should they be needed.

This was the perfect place for our two-family mountain adventure! It was nice to have two distinct areas (living room and kitchens), one upstairs and one downstairs, so each family could do their own thing after a long day.
Loved the view , lots of places to hike , exciting curvy roads, and the home fit our family nicely . Enjoyed by everyone & one of the youngest members said “ I want to live here with everyone ( we had 15 family members )Great memories .
Could not have asked for a better property to stay at. The amenities were perfect and the attention to detail to cleanliness really put us at ease. We hope to stay here again!

The property was conveniently located with amazing views. The setup of the house was great to accommodate kids and adults. The kitchens were also well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.
Awesome views!! This house was fabulous! The beds were comfy, kitchen well-stocked, fireplace was great- only good things to say about this house! We had plenty of room to spend quality time with our family. The location is central to tubing and skiing. It’s also close to Boone- which if fun to explore. Great home!
Our family enjoyed a weekend of beautiful snow and family fun! The location was excellent and close to snow skiing and tubing adventures. We hung out at the cabin quite a bit as well.
