About this property

Pets and their owners can enjoy the views and action from the deck overlooking the 8th tee and 2nd fairway/green of this open and airy villa in Turnberry Village. The villa features two master bedrooms, each with king-sized bed and TV, and queen-sized sleeper sofa in the loft area. The loft also includes an office area with free wifi access. The spacious living area includes a 65" High Definition TV and opens to the deck with its seating for 6 and a gas grill. Kitchen is fully-stocked with pots, pans, utensils and spices for the chefs in your group. Walk or bike to the beach, tennis, golf and any of the many activities offered at the Palmetto Dunes resort.

Please note that we take a maximum rental period of 2 weeks between April 1 and October 31 each year.

Always a great stay!

We are repeat visitors so we clearly enjoy the property. The deck has a great view looking out over the golf course and the kitchen is well stocked. We cook most meals over our five week stay and everything I need is available. We did have a few visits from family and everyone enjoyed their time. Quiet neighborhood is delightful.

Really nice stay at Palmetto Dunes

Overall really nice stay at Palmetto Dunes during Memorial Day week. The condo was on the 8th tee box of the George Fazio course which made for some fun morning viewing of people teeing off. They even had bird food for the bird feeder on the back deck. The condo was spacious for me, my wife and my daughter. Easy to bike ride to the beach but a touch far if you wanted to walk, although the best bet was a 2 minute drive and park at the Disney Beach Club. Also, super easy to walk to the pool, which was admittedly a little shady and pretty cold to swim in. A few things we weren't thrilled about: 1) No "house book" to understand certain things like: how to work the tv, what's the code to the pool gate, do we need to strip the beds before leaving, etc. 2) The bathroom sink on the main level (attached to the bedroom on that floor) clogged 24-48 hours into our stay. We found some Drano and contacted the owner. Unbeknown to us, they sent a plumber who we found walking into the condo as we were coming back from the pool. It was a little concerning as my daughter was sleeping inside and we weren't aware he was coming over. Bottom line - he fixed the sink and was a super nice guy who was very apologetic for any miscommunication about his coming over. 3) Slight miscommunication for "checkout time". VRBO email was 11am but a subsequent email was 10am. We stayed until 11am without an issue. We would 100% come back and stay there again. It's perfect for our family of 3 and dog.

Very good location and view. Dave was very easy to work with and promptly had cleaning crew address areas that were not clean on arrival. He made sure we had an enjoyable stay. Would stay here again.

Good and bad

Great location, well stocked with everything you’d need. Dishes, sheets, every supply you may want but we always needed more spoons and silverware for some reason. Beds were comfortable. Spacious with plenty of parking. A very nice house. Owner helpful. Some minor stuff like furnishings are showing their age, TV set in a awkward location. Major problems were: high cleaning fee but there was sand in the clothes drawers, overall not that really clean. Could not use deck due to pollen season. Quite a surprise when driving in greeted by a guard looking for a pass. Explained the situation then next day had to buy a pass. Need a set of more detailed instructions.

We got engaged on Hilton Head (many moons ago), and fell in love with the island too! To us, there is no better combination of climate, activities and great food anywhere. We hope that you get a taste of what we have enjoyed for the last 25 years, and hope to have you return again and again!

Why they chose this property

This villa feels so much bigger than the square footage of the floor plan. It is open and airy with lots of sunlight pouring through the many windows. As it is at the end of a dead end road, it is also relatively quiet given a lack of passing traffic. The golf views are unsurpassed in Palmetto Dunes, and you can watch (and interact with, if you choose) golfers passing by the deck. The cart paths double as bike or walking paths before and after the course closes for play.

What makes this property unique

Forget the beach towels? No problem, we have some for you to use! The same goes for beach chairs and other beach and pool toys. If your budget for restaurants is limited, just fire up the gas grill and enjoy your meal(s) outside on the deck. We try to make your vacation stress-free!
