We used the house for our theatre retreat. The hosts were very lovely and made sure we had everything we needed, the back yard is absolutely gorgeous and we had a really nice time
Beautiful home full of history and preservation of the past. Amazing hosts with an acute attention to details and ensuring the comfort of our stay. Highly recommend
Lovely Victorian Cottage — needs some serious updates. Listing is not accurate: no washer/dryer, no hot tub, unsafe/broken stove/oven, refrigerator malfunctioning (froze all our fruit, vegetables - hundreds of dollars worth of food), and has very little hot water (not enough for one shower/bath). Pond in backyard is little more than a dirty mosquito laden puddle. Games are missing pieces. There is not one comfortable place to sit inside or out. Spiders in every corner and even in the coffee cups/dishes. Hosts seem like nice enough people. Provided warm handoff, but we waited on the porch getting mosquito bites after a 12+ hour drive until they arrived to allow us entry and show us around. No real solutions to issues discussed—other than bring food to a different location to bake and try using different bathrooms for hot water, and to state most people don’t cook while on vacation. No check out instructions/ contact. No broom to sweep spills.
If you’re looking for an authentic early 20th century stay, this is definitely the place for you!
