You can't beat the location. You're smack dab in the centre of the village but yet you have your own private terrace and a view on to the Luberson to watch the sun go down. Perfect! Glad you enjoyed your stay.
Comfortable, quaint apartment in beautiful Menerbes
Everything we had hoped for in a Luberon apartment stay in one of the prettiest villages you will find. Excellent owners who were very responsive to any and all questions and requests.
Lovely contemporary touches inside an old arched building, right on the main street of menerbe. It was challenging to figure out how to maneuver our car through menerbe, but that was more due to our lack of french! We really enjoyed our stay.

Thank you Teresa for your comment. We are delighted that you liked our apartment. We hope to see you again if you are ever in the Luberon.
This was the second time we have been in this apartement, the stay is always wonderful there. We love Ménerbes.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you back in Menerbes in future. Autumn is a good time to visit as the cuisine is even better than usual at that time of year.

Apartment a bit quirky but actually quite nice! PERFECT location in a beautiful quiet little town. (Expected 2 bathrooms and found only 1 1/2. Also disappointed we only had one roll of toilet paper.)

Glad you enjoyed your stay. I'll address the issue of supplies, it's unusual to not have sufficient. The building is charming and has it's quirks but as you say it's got a lovely atmosphere and it's location can't be beaten.
It was great except for the age of the linens. They definitely need replacement. We liked the swallows in the morning and nightime. There was a shop close by. Lots of decent restaurants in the area especially Chez Auzet which was an excellent place for breakfast.

Thank you for letting me know about the linens, I'll be sure to ask our rental manager to get new stock. And, glad to got to experience some of the local cuisine while staying at Les Hirondelles.

The apartment is breathtaking: a medieval cellar with vaulted ceilings and a private balcony on a cliff overlooking lavender fields. We found Ménerbes to be perfect for exploring the region: not as touristy as other options, night streets feel almost private. Yes, the ancient stone gives off a little dust. Yes, it feels like living in a magazine photoshoot. Many restaurants to walk to in the village (consider reservations or going right when they open); many grocery stores within a short drive where we were able to buy dishsoap and a roll of toilet paper. The flat does get quite warm in the summer sun and the windows and door to the balcony do not latch, though the cliff makes it perfectly secure. Parking was always available nearby. My parents and I had the most lovely time and would stay here again.
A real unique place surrounded by stone who knows how old. Location cannot be beat and the view off the deck was amazing. Loved the quiet location and had fun exploring the region around it. Went for runs kn the am down rarely used cou try roads adjacent to vineyards and surrounded by nature. Nice local bar, Le Progres, just down the street and a real great place for lunch on Sundays at Maison de la truffe et du vin du Lubéron where they cook via their outdoor grill.
Place was very comfortable. We did have an issue with the wifi so was without it for a few days (was a provider issue) but not the end of the world.
The stone did keep the place cool but would recommend using the wooden partitions provided for shade as the sun comes thru in the afternoon but the deck is nice to watch the sunset. Theres a book in the apartment that is very detailed for everything in the apartment and also recommendations in the area. Good stay all around

Great position with spectacular views.
Takes the breath away when stepping onto the balcony. After a long hot frustrating day travelling, it was a pleasure to sit down and embrace the whole atmosphere. The position right in the centre of Menerbes was excellent and parking was only 50mtrs away. The village is well serviced with restaurants but some require reservations a few days ahead. They all worth a visit. Our favourite was probably the balcony at the tabac, which would have to be one of the best views for an afternoon wine or beer.
"Les Hirondelles" was a pleasure to stay in for our week in Menerbes and was well equipped and very comfortable.Jackie, the bottle of wine was consumed with much pleasure. We did have one small disappointment and that was the TV is rather difficult to work out and the CD and DVD player didn't work at all. Anyway we enjoyed our stay and can honestly recommend your property. Thank you.

Tony, glad you enjoyed your stay. The view from the balcony is wonderful.
I'll ask Krissy to check the CD and DVD player to make sure they are working. And, I'll take a look at our manual that details how to use each of the appliances.

Lovely apartment in the centre of Menerbes. Airconditioner in the dining area struggled to cool lounge room when sun was beating down. Used the fan provided to cool the lounge. Unfortunately only one roll of toilet paper was provided for a couple for 5 days stay which meant we needed to purchase a six pack of toilet paper for one extra roll. Garbage bags to suit the size of the kitchen bin were not provided. Clumps( not just dust) of the limestone ceiling were continuously falling onto the bed. Towels were threadbare with one of them having a hole in it. A few housekeeping issues which need to be addressed.
Apart from these minor issues, it was a comfortable stay.

Glad you enjoyed your stay despite the shortcomings, which are being addressed. The apartment being in the centre of the village gives you the full Provence-village emersion experience.

Martin, thank you for your feedback. You'll note that I don't mention the availability of sun loungers in my description or private parking.as neither are available.
But, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and particularly the fact you enjoyed the view from the terrace. Thank you.

Village of Menerbes is wonderful, just the place if you looking for some downtime or want to explore the Vancluse area. Home has a fantastic patio to enjoy the sunsets over the Luberon.

Dear Andras,
I'm sorry you felt let down. However, in my defense, we do advise that you need to bring your own toiletries and if you run out you can get supplies at the Epicerie.
Unfortunately, there were a couple of older towels in circulation for your visit, they should not have been and I've addressed that with the cleaners.
I'm glad that you got to appreciate what Menerbes has to offer in terms of location and view.
Thank you.

We stayed in the apartment "Les Hirondelles" in Menerbe from 27 Aug to 10 Sept 2022. What an experience!! The apartment is spacious, comfortable and so typically Provencal. The living room is comfortable and cosy, the bedrooms stylish and the kitchen is almost professional.
The beautiful sunsets, the beautiful view of the Luberon and the location in Menerbe is unique. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.
We will definitely come back next year.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. And, yes, the setting is very unique. You get the best of both worlds, a private retreat but in the heart of the village.
Thank you for your review.

Menerbes is a quiet and charming village. Our rental was spacious and private with lovely views. Jackie promptly responded to our needs. Bring your own essentials, especially when arriving on the weekend. The surrounding Provençal villages were delightful as well.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
Lovely location but poor arrival
Arrival - no welcome pack so only a bottle of Rosé in fridge. Some bread & milk/basics plus tea/coffee caps for machine would’ve been nice. Great location but stone walls/ceilings need treating as they drop limestone dust/flakes continuously. Outer front door was locked from inside on two evenings meaning we were unable to re-renter until neighbours roused after our nights out. We were clearly briefed not to lock the outer door in this way so possibly error by locateurs of adjacent apartments within?

Glad you enjoyed the location, it is special that it's in the village, yet quite private.
I've never heard of anybody locking the door from inside before, I'll check into it.
Thank you.
