Beachfront Cottage on North Shore Oahu, Sleeps 4, $295/Night

You've found Hawaii’s Best Kept Secret! (And YES WE HAVE A LICENSE TO RENT SHORT-TERM! SEE BELOW) The cottage is adjacent to a whole mile of deserted beaches, where you’ll discover isolated sandy coves, driftwood and shells, and forested pastures filled with polo ponies. The ocean is excellent for snorkeling, surfing & windsurfing. The mountains behind the cottage offer good hiking trails. The Colony has a nice pool, golf chipping greens, and a tennis court. Bring your favorite books!

The cottage is best for a couple, but sleeps four. Access to the dressing room and separate full bath is through the bedroom, which can be partitioned off. There is cable TV, high-speed internet cable, WiFi, and the kitchen is well equipped. It will have been cleaned just before you arrive and serviced with fresh sheets and towels. No daily maid service is available. Coin laundry machines are next to the manager’s office. There is a private phone for local calls, but long distance must be charged to your card.

Beautiful! We sat on the lanai every night and watched the waves and my boys fished every morning. I will miss the view! Only thing that would have made it better would be the two twin beds. A little uncomfortable but we made it work!

Beautiful waterfront cottage

We had a wonderful time staying in this cottage. Friendly community, beautiful grounds and pool, and you can't beat listening to the waves at nighthitting the showat night.

Pete's Cottage is the perfect beach getaway. It's very private, in a secluded gated community, designated parking space, and as close to the beach as you can be, like ten feet away. We stayed in January, during some big swells, so watched surfers on monster waves while enjoying our morning coffee. The kitchen has great appliances and is well stocked. The living/dining room is comfortable, but we ate all our meals outside. Pete is a great host, not intrusive, and very responsive.

Ocean front property. Owner is very accommodating. Kamananui cacao farm is right down the road so highly recommended the tour. No grocery store around it so we have to go to Haleiwa for groceries.

A slice of paradise. My 7/8 year old boys loved it. This was my husband and I’s second stay at the bungalow and it’s just as wonderful as I remembered. Far enough away from everything to be amazing. Close enough to be convenient. I didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to go back.

Quiet and right on the ocean

Great Vacation

21 years ago, we honeymooned here and this stay was just as nice. We had breakfast every morning on the lanai to a perfect sunrise. Such a nice place to stay. Everybody was so nice. We will definitely return. Thank you Pete.

Love this place

The location of this property is amazing! This is just what our family needed. Being so close to a beach that you practically have all to your self was great. Our family enjoyed sunset walks on the beach every day. The unit was very clean and it had everything we needed, and even some things we forgot. Thanks Pete for sharing this beautiful paradise with our family, we will never forget our stay.

Northshore Gem

No better place to stay on the North Shore of Oahu! We have stayed at the property before but this was the first time at this duplex which is right on the ocean front. We loved sitting on the open air patio watching the ocean. It never got old. Also the beach next door was practically deserted with a nice sandy bottom.

Great getaway

We really liked this island getaway. It was very easy to get to and going in and out of the property was a breeze. We got hit with some crazy waves the first day or so, but we are right on the water so that is to be expected in the winter. The communication with Peter was great and he was very accommodating. We would stay again for sure, trying a different time of year if available.
