We had a great family stay in Jersey City at a Vrbo rental. The place was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. It was conveniently located with easy access to NYC, and the neighborhood felt safe and quiet. The host was responsive and helpful throughout. Overall, it made our trip smooth and enjoyable.
We had a great weekend in NYC. Location made it easy to take the bus into the city every day. We also enjoyed taking the ferry over one morning and taking in the views of the skyline. Property was as described and clean.
Overall was a nice stay. Not from the area so was a bit suspicious when first arriving due to location and observation made. But once got settled in and when sight seeing, took a bus to New York it was not bad.
Finally got to see the Macy's Thanksgiving parade! The location of the apartment made commute to New York easy. Nearby grocery store was convenient to walk to as well as a few restaurants. Apartment was comfortable, clean and quiet. Claudia was very helpful with suggestions and travel advice.
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was just as advertised, in a safe neighborhood, convenient to NYC with the bus right outside the door. We had three people staying and were all comfortable in our beds and slept well. Apartment was clean & water pressure good. Also very convenient to have option of locked garage to leave car for only 15/day. Compared to NYC prices, that's a dream. In addition to city bus, which has more limited schedule, there are jitney vans that stop at the bus stop across the street and cost 3.50 CASH ONLY to get to Port Authority. They don't seem to have set schedules though, that we could find. I'm a single mom and was traveling with two teenage boys. Staying with Claudia made it possible for us to spend two nights rather than just one. I felt completely safe, and it was really nice that we each had a separate space at the end of the day. (Although one of the "spaces" was in the living room, but still after a day of traveling together it's nice to have separate rooms.) What I'm saying is, yes, the apartment is small but there's enough room for even 6-foot teenage boys to stretch out and relax at the end of a long day. Finally, communication throughout our stay with Claudia was excellent. We checked in late our first night because we went straight into the city midafternoon and went to a play that night. Even at 11:30 pm, Claudia responded to a question within 5 minutes. She responded to all questions sent through VRBO app in less than 10 minutes.
Two of my elementary school girlfriends and I stayed here for 7 nights for a family destination wedding in Central Park turned bucket list girls trip. Overall, the accommodations were sufficient for what we needed but I would go a different route if the opportunity arises to visit again. The apartment is small, very small. The walls and ceiling are very thin. Every single morning around 6-7am and well into the late night hours, the upstairs tenant made himself known to us below. It sounded as if a herd of elephants with insomnia was overhead all but a few hours in the wee morning. The building is very old as is the elevator. The exterior elevator door slams shut at all hours if the users don't take the time to hold onto it and close it purposefully which most don't. When we arrived and when we left at the end of the week we had to go up to the 4th floor one at a time with our luggage as the elevator is incredibly small and would only fit one body, one suitcase and one carryon per trip. The apartment was very clean and we had everything we needed including a hairdryer and ironing board. There were plenty of blankets and the window A/C units work wonderfully although one is located directly above your sleeping head which made for stuffy nosed mornings. There are 2 units, one in each bedroom that cool the whole apartment so we learned quickly that closing either of the bedroom doors wasn't an option if you wanted to keep the living room/kitchen area cool.
We have decided to spend Thanksgiving in NY and found the apartment in North Bergen affordable and conveniently located.
The neighbourhood is well provided with small restaurants for dinner and breakfast. The commute to NY for us was easy and convenient. A short drive to Journal Square, plenty of parking lots and then a short train ride to World Trade Center or 33rd street.
The check in process, the cleanness and the communication with the host Claudia are great.
We spent most of our time in NYC. Great stay, safe, easy access to the city. We needed a neighborhood with plenty of coffee, grocery and quick eating places. We took the bus and ride shares. Definitely recommend staying here...
Stayed here after friends recommended Claudia. We were able to get to and from the city on buses with ease. It made our trip more enjoyable. While not spacious it was what we needed, a place to sleep and get ready for the day. I would recommend staying here for affordable visits to NYC.
We rented this amazing place to have the opportunity to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Claudia was very responsive and helpful providing assistance to plan our trip. This was a great location and the apartment was just as beautiful as the pictures.
Highly recommend a stay at this location.
The apartment was very clean when we arrived and was a perfect place to go into New York City and see the sights. Claudia responded to our questions in a timely manner. The only two issues we had was the check in procedures and the broken bill changer in the laundry room. We had to take a picture of everyone’s driver’s license who was staying there and send it to her. Claudia explained she was hit with scams and when she did this they stopped. We then had to create a Venmo app to pay for the use of parking. Used VRBO many times and this is the first time we had to do anything like this. We also specifically picked this property because it had access to a washer and dryer. Last night of the stay we go to do laundry and the bill changer was broken. An elderly resident was there folding his laundry and informed us that the changer had been broken for a very long time. We didn’t have enough change to do even one load of laundry. It should be stated that this was not Claudia’s problem however it was very frustrating for us. Bring a roll of quarters if you want to do laundry. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
It was a little small in comparison to what I'm used to, but very well located and everything is in great condition. Exactly as pictured.

Visit restaurants in NY is one of the best experiences which my husband and I enjoy a lot. I love taking my girls to festivals, movies and Sunday outdoor family days.
