We are return quests to this beautiful property and will definitely be back! This property fit our 2 family of 4 comfortably and the kids were in the creek the entire week fishing and swimming.Steve was a great host with excellent communication and was very responsive when the air conditioner went out during a heat spell. We love all the space this large property offers with trails to explore and all sorts of outdoor fun to be had!
This was our return trip (prev 2016) and we had great expectations -- and were not disappointed. Great to be away from hustle and bustle as we watched the leaves change color and fall! Facilities were comfortable and clean. Would come again!
My family and I had an amazing experience at the cabin. The location was very nice and had many activities to do. The creek in the front was frozen and looked amazing. Everything was great.
The weather was perfect. It was nice to get away from the heat at home. The sound of the stream was so relaxing. Even though there is a house just across the creek, no one was there, so there were no voices but ours to be heard. Other than some minor traffic on road across the creek, we were totally away from everything, which is what we wanted. We hated to leave, but life awaits back home. We hope to return to this piece of Heaven.

An awesome New Years Weekend!
We had a very enjoyable stay! Our only regret was not being able to stay longer! The pictures really don't do this cabin the justice it deserves! The amenities and features of the rental were top notch. Everyone in our group loved it. Though we spent most of our time inside, we did enjoy spending time walking by the creek one afternoon. The secluded location made for a perfect quiet New Years weekend away from the hustle of our daily lives. Thanks for the awesome get away. We look forward to returning one day!

Multiple stays
My family of five spend a lot of time in the NC mountains--this is one of our favorite spots. We have vacationed here several times. The house is beautiful and the setting is perfect. On our last trip in November 2011, our three boys caught and released ten trout in the creek -- hours of fun. Nice big yard for football, etc, covered and uncovered porch areas are extensive with plenty of seating. Saw deer each night, turkey spottings not uncommon. Hard to beat if you are looking for a quiet place to retreat. Same owner offers "Fisherman's Cabin" up the creek which is also a wonderful location and has an large outdoor living and cooking area. Have stayed there as well -- both are great choices.
We stayed a week . Some of husbands family stayed a couple of days. The creek was beautiful, the property is well kept and the views were beautiful. Apple trees and Dogwood were in bloom. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to leave the hustle of every day life and breathe! House is clean and well equipped. It was pretty cool and the gas fireplace was a perfect accompaniment to the Mountain View from the open floor plan and windows for viewing all. We will be making recommendations to our friends. If you want to be hassled with people and traffics, this isn’t for you. But if you want to connect with nature, your spouse or kids and family book this place!!
This is a beautiful house and lots of grounds to explore. The grounds were well maintained and the views were spectacular. The creek was what drew us to the house and we never tired of sitting on the deck listening to water and enjoying the peace. If you are looking for seclusion this is the place. The nearest towns are about 20-25 minutes in each direction so it was good to get plenty of supplies before we made it there. It is a few miles drive for trout fishing if you love to fish. The big draw back for us was the grill which did not work properly and we could not use. We are big grillers and this was disappointing. The hot tub also needed some repairs. Overall it was a nice stay.
We stayed for 5 nights with our closest friends and kiddos. The house is beautiful and the lot the house sits on is amazing! The only drawbacks (and they are MINOR) would be the 3rd bedroom is really a loft with a bed and bathroom, there is no door to make it a private bedroom. We had to purchase paper towels and toilet paper (not enough for all of us for the duration of stay). The hand soaps at the sinks were watered down, needed to be refilled or replaced. Other than that we had an incredible time and truly look forward to returning!! Thank you!
The house is well appointed and feels like home. Spacious and beautiful grounds to enjoy. The accuracy of the photos is spot on! The kitchen has EVERYTHING. You only need to bring food. The fireplace kicks heat. We were there during a storm and decided to get out before the ice hit, but the property owner was super kind and offered that we stay longer through the storm if needed. Things to know: if you are going during winter, I urge you to only travel with a 4wd vehicle and winter driving skills. The home is situated away from town and the roads get nasty. We saw a lot of out of town folks with sedans who needed to be towed. The master king bed is firm. If you want softer, the queen bed on the first level is quite plush. The king bed upstairs in the loft is between firm and plush. You have options, so choose your bed wisely. Overall, disappointed we had to cut our trip short, but we will be back.

Beautiful in winter
My family stayed here for my mom's 60th birthday. when we arrived there was about 6 inches of snow on the ground. we bought some sleds from a nearby cvs and the kids loved sleeding in the back yard. they made snowmen and we had snowball fights. we got to see the snow actually fall from the sky 2 days and it was gorgeous. we went to 2 nearby ski lodges, sugar mt. and beech mt. beech mt. is a little cheaper but my husband liked the ski slopes at sugar mt. better. we took the kids to hawksnest for the snow tubing and by far that was the best day we had. they have at least 5 different tubing slopes to go down, try to go during the week-its cheaper. the tubing slopes at the ski resorts arent that great, its 1 slope and they are pretty strict. once the snow/ice melted a little off the stream we could hear the water and it was lovely to listen to. we are already thinking of going back next year and the house is very quiet and definetly makes you feel at home!!
Beautiful property, with great activities, great house. Perfect place to relax in nature. If you’re looking for a place close to town this probably isn’t it, but it’s perfect to get away!
Everything was fantastic. Steve is awesome up front about everything the listing was exact to the experience. The best part was the rushing water and all the activities outside. Breakfast on the deck is something you have to do. Secluded and scenic!!! If you have any trouble Steve is quick to respond and is very pleasant to deal with!! Give this location a chance if you want serenity. If your looking for fishing and the stream isn’t to your liking there’s quite the experience on either the Tennessee or North Carolina side!!! 10/10 experience!!!
We had a very enjoyable visit. The creeks are very nice. The property is rather remote which was exactly what we were looking for. The homes design and comfort were just great. The host was very responsive. We would definitely go again.
Pictures on VRBO are very accurate. This property was gorgeous. House was cozy With beautiful view of woods and stream. Our dog loved the adventure of roaming the property, perfect spot for just relaxing and unwinding.
Right on a beautiful piece of property next to two trout stocked creeks with lots of acres to roam about.
Our car got vandalized by raccoons. Ripped windshield molding off and rear wiper off. That was exciting
