Absolutely horrible experience

At our arrival outside of the house was packed with trash, the code to the door didn’t work and we tried to call them and email them for hours and no one called us back or emailed us. We didn’t get the key to the house until the following day. A lot was wrong with the house, and they didn’t come by to fix it until the day before our departure. Not to mention that we had emailed them during our stay multiple times as well as after our stay and they never called us back or emailed us back. Very poor quality of customer service and false advertisement of what the property would be like. I do NOT recommend booking with this agency. I use Vrbo all the time have been at different locations and never had such bad experiences

Pathetic Customer Service

The house was nice and in a good community. However the property management company(Tropical Escapes) was the worst I have ever had to deal with in all my vacations. We booked this vacation a couple of months ago and just a day before we were to check in, we started getting messages about information that they need. I repeatedly asked if there was anything else needed and either they didn’t respond or they would confirm we are all set. However, they had no issues following up for payments regularly weeks before we checked in. At the time of checkin the code they provided didnt work and we had to wait 30 mins for someone to come & help us with a key. Through the week of stay they were not able to resolve this issue in spite of regular emails. I sent emails and messages on other issues but never got a resolution or response. In short, I will never book a vacation or go near a property managed by this company.

Nice house, everything else was terrible.

First thing's first. The house was nice. Having said that, my family and I experienced the WORSE customer service I have ever encountered in terms of vacation rentals. Upon arrival we were unable to gain access to the property with the "provided lock code". This was due to the batteries in the lock being low, which the (and Im using this term lightly) "customer service specialist" could see from where she was. So in addition to being on hold 30 to 45 minutes 3 different times, we were told someone would come change the battery. That never happened. We were there Friday to Monday. THEN, we get inside the home that was supposedly cleaned before we arrived and notice that it was simply turned over. Not cleaned. I know this because my mother, mother in law, and my wife had to go buy our own cleaning products to wipe counters and other surfaces that were noticeably dirty still. THEN, not even 2 hours later we killed not 1 but to roaches. Not water bugs, roaches. So now we are on alert because we dont do bugs. My wife also found a pair of female eye lashes in a window seal upstairs in one of the rooms. I took pictures of the roaches, eye lashes, the dirt on the "cleaned sheets" , and the waterbug my mother in-law found upstairs in the room she was sleeping in. It was not out of site, rather in a place you couldnt miss if you were cleaning. We also had to wash the sheets because we found hair on our "fresh linens". We called customer service 3 days straight with no answer. Nobody came by to say "hey we know we messed up and we want to make it right" or anything of the sort. The customer service line is a joke. And I would NEVER stay at another property owned by this same company. I was very displeased all in all. The house being nice "looking" doesn't negate the issues my family and I experienced. I will be writing a letter to the better business bureau in regards to this matter and hope that anyone who stays in this property doesn't experience the same lack of customer care and appreciation my family experienced. We left very unhappy with our stay. Hope whomever checked in at 4 did a full look around of the property to ensure cleanliness. And if not, the dollar store is down to the right on Ronald Reagan Parkway. Good luck and God Bless.
