Great location, charming carriage house but

The location of this rental was fabulous and the place was charming for a small family however it could use an interior update per the the following: -better quality of lighting (some fixtures had no bulbs) and dark on the exterior -furniture is tired, dirty, tattered and torn -rug looked dirty and old (could be replaced easily) -bed mattress & pillows were very uncomfortable (needs to be updated) -felt uncared for by owner For the location of this place it should match its surroundings on the inside.

Great location, but…

We had a lovely week at Rosemary beach - beach, food and shopping are all fantastic. I chose this carriage house based on the location near other friends vacationing the same week - and the location was great. It’s near beach accesses B and C and an easy bike ride or walk to the square. However, the house itself could use some TLC. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the screen door desperately needs repaired. The floor could stand to be refinished, as well. Bed was comfortable and my kids slept well on the sleeper sofa. If you plan on eating out every meal, you’re good. If you like to cook/prep some meals, good luck. The kitchen was very cramped to begin with and they put a microwave on the countertop bc the one over the range was broken, taking away most counter space. They have some pots, but no pans (for eggs) or bowls/containers to put washed fruit in, and you have to dodge the spiral staircase that’s basically in the kitchen. Additionally, I didn’t get the keys to the house until 5:30, even though I checked in at 1pm to let them know we had arrived. I knew it could be as late as 4pm, but was frustrated that it still wasn’t ready for more than an hour after. If none of that is of concern to you and all you want is location, this is your place.

Pretty good deal for such a good location

This is a great little 1 bedroom apartment over the garage in Rosemary Beach. It has a lot going for it- the location to the Coquina Pool is great, it is a very short walk to either the shopping center or the green space and ocean beach walkway. It was also nice to have a fully equipped kitchen with full range, full sized refrigerator/ freezer AND a dishwasher, plus 2 bikes for use. Overall it was a very good rental for the price given the location. Some very minor downsides though: 1) The decor is outdated (lots of natural pine wood floor, ceilings and cabinets- bit overkill)- there are better looking interiors for similar price points (or slightly more). Also the location of the spiral staircase to the loft is ill-fitted in the floor plan (takes up part of the Kitchen and is awkward to get around). 2) The house was not well stocked in terms of small items- no aluminum foil, no staples (except small coffee and creamer for a day or 2)- even the salt and pepper shaker was empty. Not a big deal at this price point, just be prepared to get everything you need. There were some cleaning basics: 3 rolls of toilet paper, a small bottle of dishing detergent, dishwasher capsules, and a roll of paper towels and some laundry detergent for the washing machine. Just poorly stocked overall IMHO compared to some others. We had to call to get a lighter for the grill (which the Management Company did provide for us the next day at no extra cost). But the pantry was completely EMPTY. 3) Communication with the Management Company (Rosemary Beach Cottage Rentals) was good if you contacted them DIRECTLY. They gave no response the the VRBO messaging system. 4) Street parking only, but worked out fine at the time of year we went (not during summer vacation). The ad mentioned construction nearby but it was never any sort of issue and was not close (plus I think there is always some going on at Rosemary beach anyways). Don't let that disclaimer discourage you from renting here. Overall though these were minor issues and we did very much enjoy the stay and do recommend it.

Needs remodeled

This property does not look like the pictures. It is dirty looking and needs major renovation. The bed isn’t the same as the one in the pictures. It is replaced with a goodwill looking bed and unattractive, old looking bedding. The tv is old and has 3 lines running through it when you watch. The flooring is dirty and needs replaced. The door looks like your going into an abandoned house it’s so rickety with broken screens. The yard isn’t up-kept. Paint is chipping on the walls. Overall the most disappointing rental we have ever stayed at. Definitely not “Rosemary quality”.
