Lakefront, Historic Estate on the Eagle River Chain of Lakes! Sleeps 42!
Indian Point Manor was named after the Indian statue at the SW corner of the property overlooking Catfish Lake. The property was originally built by former Chicago Mayor Edward Kelly in 1929. The mayor and his wife carefully and meticulously planned the property to include such items as a projection room for the theater, a two boat wet boathouse, a great room with 31’ cathedral ceilings and a carriage house above the garage for his security detail.
The main residence is a massive 9 bedroom house with modern updates and a rich history. Comprised of two levels of stunning architecture and luxurious comforts, the entire home is bathed in warm light from wall to ceiling. The great room is the central hub of the home with 31’ cathedral ceiling, huge stone fireplace, piano, adjustable seating arrangements with large LOVESAC couch and state of the art 85” TV with theater sound. Relax and play board games, enjoy a fire in the wood fireplace or have a movie night. Does your group have talent? Use the 1920’s finely tuned grand piano to belt out some songs or have a dance party with the tremendous surround sound system. At the end of the night relax on the couch and marvel at the petroglyphs carved into the Great Room walls.
The kitchen in the main residence is the perfect amalgamate of old world charm and modern convenience! The kitchen has been meticulously rehabbed to provide a gourmet cooking experience with a Wolf double stove, new counter tops for plenty of prep space and wall to ceiling cabinetry appointed with everything you’ll need to impress your guests with your culinary skills. The space features a custom walnut island and the original 1930’s GE refrigerator that’s been updated with the latest refrigeration components. There is one dishwasher in the kitchen, and a second dishwasher conveniently located in the attached coffee bar area. There is also a more informal dining area with seating for 8 guests, full tableware and serving settings are provided for up to 48 people.
The carriage house is conveniently located directly behind the main house, with two bedrooms, one bath and sleeping accommodations for 6 guests. The bedrooms include one King bed and two full beds. The house has been fully remodeled to provide a cozy, modern kitchen and living room area. Guests can take advantage of the privacy or cook on their own and enjoy a quiet night on Catfish Lake.
On the southern side of the property, Indian Point Cottage is tucked into the pine tree canopy. This newly renovated house overlooks the Tennis court at Indian Point and is a short walk from the Main House. The two bedroom, single bath residence provides a King sized bed and two full beds with the ability to sleep up to 6. A full Kitchen and open concept floor plan provides a great view of custom stone fireplace, sure to keep everyone warm in the winter.
The estate grounds include a boat house with an upper level game room, a private lookout over the lake and a full sized tennis court. An outdoor fire pit and grilling area are also located next to the main house among the meticulously groomed yard. With over 1700 feet of private frontage on Catfish Lake, your guests will have no shortage of lake front adventure. The Eagle River Chain of Lakes is known for excellent fishing, water sports and silent sport exploration. Rent a pontoon or other watercrafts through Hiller Vacation Homes to explore all 28 lakes in style!

Thank You,
Hiller Vacation Home Staff.
This is one of the best places we have stayed at. Complete privacy with so much space. The owners did everything right when they remodeled the property so there is a great mixture of old charm with new amenities. We lost power and they struggled to get the Wi-Fi reconnected, but otherwise everything was perfect.

Hi Kay,
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent stay at Indian Point Manor! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, and, we couldn't agree more that is a beautiful property.
We hope to see you back again soon.
The property is truly special, with a rich history and excellent modern amenities on an unbeatable location on the chain. The boathouse/gameroom, beach, and sports court were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, as was the main manor. There was a snag with check in where the front door lock wasn't working and we were missing some fire starting supplies, but the management company was responsive and worked to quickly correct the issues. Our extended family had a wonderful week and we hope to return in the future.

Our family has had wonderful experiences with the Executive Home we rent through Hiller Vacation Homes. We have a large family representing all ages from infants to seniors. The staff is always responsive and easy to work with. The views of the lake are beautiful and we have easy access to our private beach, docks and boathouse – which easily accommodate the wave runners and pontoon boat we rent during our stay. The home is set up well for entertaining inside and out. It is always in immaculate condition and in general very comfortable. This has become an annual destination for us and we plan to stay again next summer.

Thank you so much staying at Indian Point Manor! Hope to see you again!
Awesome property! Beautiful very large yard, tennis courts, play set for little ones, basketball court…..I could go on and on about amenities. Our only problem was mowing service coming to mow on our second morning and then the next day, lawn care service came to fertilize and spread chemicals. Absolutely unacceptable when we had 10 grandkids under the age of 6 playing in the yard constantly. Management company would do nothing to stop them…. We finally called the landscape company from a number on the side of their truck and they graciously agreed and left the property! We felt these items should be handled on a “turn over” day or when property is not rented.

We held a 40th birthday celebration at Indian Point Manor with approximately 40 good friends and family members. The main and guest homes were spacious and perfect for this size gathering. The boat house was a perfect spot for the adults to gather each evening. The beach and playground were enjoyed by the kids. We thoroughly enjoyed the large kitchen and ample seating indoors and outdoors for meals. Most guests said this was an event and experience they'll remember forever. Our only issue with the rental was inability to use the home's audio/video system the entire 3rd day of our stay. Power in the area was lost for a few hours and when it was restored, the rental company wasn't able to assist with resetting the home's audio/video system. It's a smart home with full house sound, so not being able to use it was really disappointing.
As great as this place looks in the pictures, it is even better in person! Can't say enough about the property, amenities and location. Truly made for a memorable family reunion!
