We stayed in town due to an Aevent in Wilseyville that my Husband and Daughter raced in. This home made everything more enjoyable especially with my energetic toddler.
Quiet, spacious house within walking distance of town. Very comfortable beds! Well-equipped kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator. The only glitch was that the laundry hadn't been completely finished. It took us several hours to run two loads of towels and bedding through the dryer.
I was looking by for a quiet place to get away for the 4th of July weekend with my toddler and two dogs, and this place was perfect! Nice, clean and quiet. The hot tub was nice too! I will say, if you’re bringing dogs like I did, bring a tether of some kind, it’s not a fenced in yard. I think that’s fairly obvious from the pics but just an FYI, there’s a road right above and also several kitties roaming around the neighboring properties, so I kept my dogs on a tether even though I was out there with them. Just a tip!
We visited West Point for a much needed change of scenery. The cabin was great for our family of three teens and small dog and we were able to juggle both remote work/school and some spirited board games. Highlights included the amazing night sky, the excellent ice cream and snack selection at the corner market, cool jewelry made by local artists and good local hiking.
The home was perfect had what u need . Very quite BUT the hot tub was not clean and cont use it even after I asked if it worked .

I had the cleaning person check the tub, the foil from the cover had flaked off. If the tub was turned on and allowed to cycle it would have been sucked up by the filter.
Rob’s place was comfy and what we needed for a family weekend getaway. I will say we didn’t use the hot tub because it was filthy. Other then that, things were great!
The house was clean and as advertised. It was a quiet area away from it all but there is very little in the immediate area. Jackson and Sutter Creek are about a 1/2 hour drive so we spent a fair amount of time driving places.

I find it annoying that people give lower reviews, when they don't bother to map out the area they area they are renting.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Nice house in a quiet neighborhood. Short walk to store and community garden and very friendly town folk. We spent time at the river and casino which aren't that far from the house. Thank you Robert for being readily available when I was having trouble with the thermostat! lol

Thank you for renting from me and appreciating the area for what it is. Come back anytime. The river is the most awesome spot.
Check in was easy and smooth. Finding property also easy. Idk if we were supposed to turn on hot tub a day early but I flipped breaker giving it 2-3 hrs to heat up but when it got dark we found water to still be cold. Family was really excited to use that tub, but couldn’t. While showering this morning my girlfriend heard water dripping or running in bedroom to the left. Found existing water damaged wall. Not much to do in West Point, everything is 30 minutes away. Home was clean. Pictures led us to believe back patio area was cleaner, yard needs maintenance. Great host but felt home missing things

The cleaning lady, checked the hot, it was warm working and used? The bathroom has a new shower/tub, there is not water leaking? It is best to do research on areas where you plan to stay, so you know distances to things you want to do.

Great stay on a budget
We generally had a nice stay at the WestPoint house. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and spices. The living room space was nice as were the three bedrooms and beds. We also enjoyed being close to the snow but away from crowds.
Here’s a few things that need improvement or might be good to know before you rent:
1. The front door’s doorknob was broken. We used duct tape to fix it so we could go in and out through that door. It simply needs a new doorknob.
2. The bath has a crack and the sealant came off. We use duct tape to help make sure the water didn’t cause damage under the house.
3. The house smells like smoke. There are several air fresheners but our clothes and things smell a bit like smoke and we had to air out the house and keep clove+vanilla water boiling on the stove the first night.
4. The hot tub was a wonderful place to soak and enjoy the stars…until I felt a slimey blob on the filter. Something needs to be fixed. That was gross.
5. There isn’t a dining/kitchen table but there is a perfectly good card table and four folding chairs and that worked fine for us.
6. It was a little strange to see one or two cameras out front and one in the backyard. You can see the one in the backyard from the hot tub and that’s a little creepy (though may be completely innocent).

Rather annoying guests. They tried to check in early and gave the cleaning person a hard time. Late checkout, luckily it was not rented the the same day.
Property was clean, as described, and had everything we needed! Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Three separate, equal-sized rooms for sleeping. The living area and kitchen were super-spacious. For the price, you really can't beat this place. The only "room for improvement" was that, while the house was spotless, the hot tub was not as clean. We added chlorine tabs, showered well before and after using, and didn't have any issues.
Things to know:
Hot tub is not pre-heated, make sure to turn on the switch in advance, so it's ready when you want to use it.
For kid activities, there's Murphy's Golf, horseback riding, Chaw'se Indian reservation, bowling, and various caverns to explore.
Hot tub is a two-person hot tub
The house was the perfect setup for what we needed so that each of our team members could have their own bedroom. The house was clean, and just as listed, plus communication with the owner was great! The guys said they would definitely stay again if we're ever back in this area for our off-road racing events.
