Looking forward to welcoming you.

Lovely traditional Normandy property, full of character. All amenities provided for, and a very helpful and responsive owner to deal with any questions during the stay.
Les 3 Fresnes is a magical place to stay in Normandie. The house is beautiful - all the charm of an old home with all the modern amenities. The property is beautiful, full of flowers and trees with lots of activities for kids (pool, ping-pong table). Close to some lovely towns for sight-seeing and shopping.
Vincent was a lovely host, very helpful and accommodating.
Would definitely return. Great spot for families, friends etc.
If you looking for the quintessential Normandy experience, you will love this place. From it’s thatched roof, hand hewn beams and huge stone fireplaces, this place exudes charm.
You can’t mind steep staircases, quirky rooms and narrow spaces. It is over 300 years old but has been well maintained. The surrounding property is beautiful. Vincent & Clara we’re very accommodating and friendly. He took us on a nice tour of the house and property which included a beautiful pool area and theirprivate vegetable garden. Pitt, their Australian Shepherd was so playful and friendly. He would come to see us whenever we were outside.
Vincent gave us a jar of his homemade jam that was delicious and came by every day to make sure we didn’t need anything.

Hi Karen,
Thank you so much for your kind words !
We are happy you had such a great time here.
Best regards
Vincent’s property seems to be the quintessential French countryside home! Vincent was extremely helpful with helping us navigate the area and recommending restaurants. He was very easy to communicate as his English is excellent! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The pool area was lovely for swimming or reading and afternoon cocktails. The house is on a very large piece of property that the guests have access to. Vincent will even pull some vegetables from his garden for you. The only critique is that it may not be accessible for people with limited mobility as the stairs are quite steep and narrow and the floors are uneven. There is one bedroom, however, on the ground floor. It is a very old house that has been restored, wonderfully! Very charming I would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful bones but so-so maintenance
A beautiful property 350 years old, but not well maintained. Flying ant infestation in the kitchen and mice - so we had to keep all foodstuffs in the fridge. Three out of four stove top lights not working and two gas burners not working. Some chairs in the living room with absolutely no springs (can't sit in them). Only two toilets, and one was very small and dark, and always smelled bad. When we arrived, the towels in the bedroom were very damp. The clothes dryer had a water reservoir that had not been emptied, and hence, it would not dry things until we figured this all out snd emptied the reservoir.
Host was very helpful with health issues that we had to address early on during our stay. Location is wonderful and the place could be a real gem - but it was disappointing and not nearly as nice as the write up and price we paid. We would sadly not recommend it as is. Needs work and serious investment.

Bonjour,
Bien cordialement,
Vincent

Attractive old house....but some reservations
Les 3 Fresnes is a 300 year old house....exquisite from the outside and with considerable charm inside.
Vincent, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. The house is well positioned in a quiet area close to Honfleur. The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool and surrounding area are lovely (although we were unlucky with the weather and could use it only very little).
However, we did have a number of reservations regarding our week, which marred our experience. At the time we booked the house, it was described as 5 bedrooms, which was important to us - a party of 8 adults and two small children - so my daughter and son-in-law could have their children in a separate room. As it turned out, one of the bedrooms was really a walk-through 'room' at the top of stairs, making it impractical for anyone in our group to use it as a bedroom. I see that this has now been changed on the website. Vincent did give us a small discount at the end of the week as compensation.
It was also the case that whilst the showers worked well the two toilets in the house were unpleasantly smelly.
In addition, quite a lot of the crockery, furnishings and linen could do with some updating, there was a lot of old and chipped crockery in the cupboards but, for example, not enough useable mugs, and the tea towels and oven gloves were old and dirty looking-hopefully Vincent will have already changed this; he was keen to understand our concerns.

Thank you for your comment. We appreciate your honesty, feedbacks are crucial to us. All of them have been handled since your departure.
As you have seen we have updated our page, describing more clearly the pass-through room, which is now no more indicated as a "room" but as extra beddings. We already had a feedback on this point and we thought it was clearly mentionned on the page, but it was not clear on the english version.
Regarding the furnitures, we have taken off all the outdated cooking tools, refurnished new mugs, new tea towels and oven gloves. All the old and chipped crockery has been taken away too and replaced.
Unpleasant smell in the bathrooms has been handled too, a company came 2 days after your departure.
To be fair, it is the worst start of a season we have experienced so far. We do once again apologies for the inconveniences.
We did our best to handle each issue efficiently. Feedbacks like yours are difficult to read, yet useful to us, so thank you.
Best regards,
Vincent

Thank you so much for your kind words Tim !
It was a great pleasure to have you here, and it's a pleasure again to read your comment. We are delighted that you had such a good time and felt so well in the house.
I've taken notes for the toilets near the swimming pool, it's true it would bring even more confort to the swimming pool area.
We're looking forward to seeing you again next year !
Best regards,
Vincent
