About this property

Log Cabin on the Water - Free Kayaks!

Small waterfront cabin with a private queen-sized bedroom with a sofa bed in the living room. A 2 person hot tub overlooks the Maumee River and an undeveloped state-owned island.

There is a full kitchen and bathroom. There are small Smart TV's in both the living room and bedroom.

Everything you'll need for the most part is furnished, including linens, bedding, silverware, dishes, pots, pans, cooking utensils, hand soap, paper towels, bathroom tissue, and hand towels.

There is a Circle K gas station with all the necessities that is open 24/7 just 2 1/2 miles away. There is a large Kroger grocery store about 5 miles from the cabin that is open until 10 pm.

Enjoy the free use of our kayaks, canoe, paddle boat, and fishing boat to navigate between the beautiful islands across from your cabin. While the river is usually no higher than deep, life vests for both adults and children are provided.

There is a 10-mile-long hiking and biking trail that abuts our property and runs through the woods along the river. There are usually a few bikes laying around to use.

My husband and I live in one of the 10 cottages (Brown "A" frame) that we have so we are available should you need anything.

You are responsible for bringing, or gathering, your own firewood.

Pets are always welcome and smoking is only permitted outdoors. Pets must be on a leash when outside and cleaned up after. There is a $50.00 fee.

My family stayed in this cabin over the weekend and had a great time. The owners are so kind and thoughtful, offering supplies, suggestions, and even to light our fire for us. The spot on the river is beautiful and being so close to Metroparks and trails was a big plus. The cabin was cute and thoughtfully supplied with snacks and games.

This is my go to place near Toledo OH for the past 9 years. Comfortable, great hosts, and out of the way destination location with kayaks to get on the Maumee River.

Our stay at Riverwood was great. It’s a nice place to just relax and enjoy the scenery. Parker and Kathy are great hosts and made sure our stay was fun and relaxing. We took a boat out and utilized the complementary bikes. We will definitely be back. Having just a little phone service helped us to detach as well but the WiFi was still available.

Wonderful Getaway

My husband and I got away for the wknd and our cabin was the perfect size. The hosts are extremely friendly. I've never experienced the hospitality as we did during this stay from the moment we arrived. The hot tub was the perfect size for the 2 of us and the bed & pillows were amazingly comfortable. It was so nice to have boats that were readily available. Thanks to the hosts for making these cabins available for others to enjoy!!

Beautiful location

Parker and Cathy were wonderful hosts. We loved the use of the canoes, bikes, and fishing boat! Although the bikes were a variety of types and use, it made it easy to just come and enjoy biking the paths!

Miami River cabin

We were surprised at the location when we arrived. The overall smell and looks of the river were a huge turnoff. We were expecting to be in the water swimming etc but there was no way. The smell invaded the cabin through the air conditioning and physically made me nauseous. Everyone around us was extremely nice, as was the caretaker. We ended up leaving a day early.

Peaceful getaway

Parker and his family have the most peaceful cabin settings we've been to. With that being said, there were also activities available such as kayaking, paddle boating and john boats with electric motors for exploring the nearby islands or for just tooling around the river or fishing. We wanted for nothing while we were there. We definitely will be repeat visitors and have already told so many family and friends about our experience. If there was a rating higher than 10 i would be giving it. Love this.place.

Birthday Getaway!

Loved this small rustic cabin for a girl’s weekend. Perfect if you want close quarters and a cozy atmosphere. The jacuzzi was clean and already turned on and warmed for us on arrival! ❤️ The hosts were very friendly and were quick to respond when we had questions.

Getaway on the river

Absolutely loved our cabin. Parker delivered firewood to our site before dinner on the first night. I noticed that when our camping neighbor didn't know how to get a fire started, he jumped right in and made sure they had a good fire going. Billy went fishing every day and most evenings. We didn't use them, but there were boats and kayaks available for use. We plan to go back in November.

Revitalizing

Needed a place to stay while house hunting and this was the perfect spot to unwind after a long day (and gear up for the one ahead). Just relaxed in the hot tub and watched the river flow by and then off to the comfy bed. Can’t wait to come back for a longer stay soon.
