Henry's Fork Ranch offers 2 miles of private river access and a lot more!
The Henry's Fork Ranch offers guests 2 miles of private access to the renowned Henry's Fork of the Snake River. This section of river is very wadable or floatable, but most important , 80% of the fish caught off our banks measure 16 inches or more. The ranch is a 500 acre working cattle ranch that caters to the outdoor enthusiast. Ranch activities include fly fishing, bird watching, waterfowl hunting, sight seeing, relaxing, and cross country skiing. Since we offer one solitary cabin, you'll share the ranch with the host, cattle, horses and sheep, but no other guests.
Fishing on the Henry's Fork: The Henry's Fork of the Snake River is open year round for fishing. Most anglers prefer to fish with flies but the river allows rod casting as well. This stretch of the river is designated as a wild fishery so it has limits and restrictions. The fishery is very healthy and big Rainbow and Brown Trout are the norm for anglers.
Henry's Fork Ranch is in the middle of it all: The Henry's Fork Ranch is centrally located near many of the areas major attractions. Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks are within a short drive. There is also Jackson Hole Wyoming, West Yellowstone and St. Anthony Sand Dunes. The ranch sits on the bank of the Henry's Fork but there are the South Fork of the Snake River, Madison River, Warm River, Fall River, Robison Creek, and numerous other streams. We also have major lakes like Henrys Lake, Island Park Reservoir, Hebgen Lake, and Ashton Reservoir to fish.
Year round activities: The ranch provides an environment for many migrating birds and waterfowl. Bird watchers come to see a wide variety of bird species such as Trumpeter Swans, Canada Geese, Sandhill Cranes, Bald Eagles, Osprey and a wide variety of songbirds. Other nearby activities include ATV riding, Golfing, Horseback riding, hiking, rafting, skiing and snowmobiling depending on the time of year. Waterfowl hunting is available on the ranch and big game hunting is nearby.

Ideal place for a relaxing weekend or longer. The cabin is very well stocked, clean and comfortable. Bill and Teresa are extremely nice and friendly. We fished the river at the property and saw all the local sights. I would stay here again.
Every bit of our stay was seamless and enjoyable. The hosts were wonderful communicators, giving insight to the history of the ranch, the surrounding attractions and the local’s favorites. We felt like family the entire stay and still do! The home was immaculate, well stocked, and cozy. This cabin is a wonderful place to quiet your life, be intentional with those you love, reflect or inspire, discover, wonder and explore. Its location is perfect for all the surrounding national parks and attractions but it’s also like your own private hideaway.
Our stay was absolutely perfect! Everything about the property was just beautiful, the cabin was extremely clean and comfortable and the hosts were friendly and very welcoming! We will definitely be back!

Katie,
It was our pleasure to have you stay with us. I hope you had a chance to relax with your family and enjoy the ranch and the area. Your stay was short with us so you didn't have a chance to experience all that we and the area offer our guests. Since we have so many returning guests we hope you will become one of our regulars who enjoy the ranch with us.
Take care and thank you for the nice review.
Stay here! Great location! On the river! Owner showed us around town of Ashton. We will be back!

Great cabin on a working ranch
Awesome location, off the beaten path on the banks of the Henry's Fork. Bill and Teresa were fantastic hosts and even stopped by to invite us to go to a local rodeo with them one night. Lots of great activities in the area, and the fishing on the ranch was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Thanks for the nice review. We enjoy meeting our guests and spending sometime showing them some of the Idaho attractions like a rodeo. The Henry's Fork is world renowned for great fishing and guests have plenty of fishing opportunities and room here at the Henry's Fork Ranch.
We loved the peace and quiet of this lovely cabin. The hospitality of the owners is wonderful. My teens had fun floating the river and of course this is the place to fly fish! You'll get lots of love from the owner's dogs too! Definitely the place to go for some R&R.

Jeff,
Thank you for the nice review. As you told us a few times that we are the best kept secret in Idaho. It is certainly the case since many of our fishing guests including you, don't talk about how good the fishing is here. We won't tell anybody. Take care and we'll see you next spring.
We stayed at the cabin for one week. It is an amazing location and Bill and Teresa were awesome. Bill was a pleasure to talk with about the property and fishing and Teresa baked us muffins and cookies! We would recommend this location for anybody wanting to fish locally or use the cabin as a central location to be able to get to other sightseeing or fishing spots. Top notch people and location.

Thank you Ryan for staying with us here at the Henry's Fork Ranch. Our guests always enjoy and appreciate the ranch, cabin, river and the area. There is so much to do and never enough time to see and do it all. We hope to see you again in the future.
Bill and Teresa are wonderful hosts! We felt comfortable from the moment we met them. Teresa delivered freshly baked peanut blossoms, the best we have ever had. Fishing was a few steps from the back porch and yielded some nice browns. We even watched their son in a ranch rodeo, great fun. We want to return and highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to get away from it all.

Amazing stay at Ranch!
We spent a terrific 3 nights at Henry’s Fork Ranch in July 2016. An easy distance from Jackson Hole and West Yellowstone, it was the perfect area to relax in the midst of a busy itinerary. Bill and Teresa are incredible hosts and were extremely accommodating. The area has much to offer - just ask Teresa! Our group ended up attending a local rodeo, renting tubes Jube’s Tubes, and visiting Mesa Falls. The cabin has everything one could need. We loved being greeting by the ranch dogs and watching the sheep in the adjacent fields. The cattle in the distance made the ranch experience complete. There were amazing photos opportunities of the beautiful river, ranch and the nighttime sky. Never have I seen so many stars. I would highly recommend Henry’s Fork Ranch and hope to visit again!

The summers here where the ranch is located certainly dose have plenty of different things to do and see. It kind of an oasis in the middle everything. Guests have plenty of activity options to choose from depending on the season. Now that it is Fall, the wildlife are appearing more often and starting to migrate. On top of that, there are the amazing sunrises and sunsets that always are a great way to start and end each day. The sounds and sights of nature here at the ranch almost gives you a sensory overload. Winter is just around the corner and with that season comes plenty of different things to do and see while it is nice and white and clean. We're glad you had a good time in July. Remember the cabin is available year round.

Home Sweet Home
I’ve never written feedback before, but knew I had to this time. Staying at the Henry’s Fork Ranch was a truly wonderful experience! We did many things away from the ranch, but returning each day to the ranch was like returning to our own little home sweet home. The cabin was perfect in every way and exceptionally clean! My husband and boys loved being able to go out the back door and down to the river to fish. I especially enjoyed relaxing on the front porch and taking in the beauty of the view around me. I was so peaceful. Teresa made a us a wonderful meal our first night, which was one of my best decisions after a long day of travel! My picky son kept begging us to have her cook again. We came home late one night to the most delicious chocolate chip cookies ever and enjoyed a bonfire and s’mores one night with Teresa and Bill. Bill and his son invited us to join in on shooting potatoes across the river with their potato shooter, which all boys…husband included…thought was a blast! Bill and Teresa were always available to help in any way. In short, they did everything they could to make our stay special…which it SO was! They truly made their home our home for the week, from the amazing star-filled sky to the music of the sheep all around. We came as strangers, but truly felt we left as friends. With much thanks Bill and Teresa!!

Wonderful cabin and wonderful people
If you are looking for a beautiful cabin in a peaceful setting on the bank of a world-class trout river, this is it. The fishing was so good that we didn’t move far from the cabin to fish... but the ranch sits on more riverfront than you could fish if you stayed for months. The cabin was spacious, clean, well-decorated and it was stocked with everything you would have at home. We were made to feel comfortable and welcomed by the Fuchs. Access to Yellowstone National Park is about an hour’s drive north, so it is a great place to visit the Park from if you don’t mind the drive and want to avoid crowds. Famed trout fishing spots on Henry’s Fork in the Island Park/Harriman State Park area are an easy 30 mile drive to the north of the ranch. I had heard that the trout on Henry’s Fork were “difficult” and “selective”. I did not find this to be the case. In fact, it was the opposite. The Grand Teton mountain range can be seen from the road as you drive, so the scenic beauty is everywhere and photography enthusiasts will have plenty to keep them inspired. A visit to Mess Falls, only a few miles from the ranch, Is well-worth the journey.
I would definitely recommend this cabin and location if you are an avid fly fisherman or want to combine fly fishing with national park visits... while escaping the crowds. This location is not the Mecca of nightlife. The town of Ashton is about 6 miles away.... and has nearly everything you need...but it is a quiet farm town. I highly recommend the cabin and definitely want to return myself.
