About this property
Beautiful Log cabin overlooking a meadow
These are custom built one-bedroom log cabins with hardwood floors designed for your comfort and relaxation. Texas frosted glass door that opens to your private patio and seating to enjoy the scenery and sounds of nature. You never know what you will see grazing in the meadow; sometimes it is deer, baby foxes playing in the morning dew, or the armadillo looking for grub and on warm summer night the large hoot owl in the tree. Love bird watching the cardinals are very bright red and you can see the golden cheek wabbler along with many other species. Star gazing it out of this world, so many bright stars and if you miss making your wish on the first falling star of the night; watch closely and you will be able to wish on the next one.

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Green
Gordon and Jennifer built Al's Hideaway with the help of her mother "Me Maw." To achieve a dream of sharing a unique and comfortable place for family and friends to visit. When guest arrive, they leave as friends and return as family. The location was chosen because of its proximity to Helotes, Bandera, San Antonio, and Boerne.
Why they chose this property
We purchased the property and built our dream because we love people and entertaining. The area which is considered the Texas Hill Country has so much to offer and see that there truely is something for everyone.
What makes this property unique
Al's Hideaway is 20 acres with 17 acres left untouch for hiking and wildlife. We designed the park so that if you want seclusion you can have it, if you want to meet old and new friends you can. We have a large pavilion that has an outdoor kitchen, fireplace, big screen TV and seating next to the outdoor pool. There are games to play plenty of room to visit and grill. There is a comal fire pit by the pavilion that allows for gathering to sit by the fire, visit, and roast marshmellows.
