Stylish and comfortably furnished first floor studio apartment set in beautiful and scenic location with its own private condominium swimming pool and air conditioning. Apartment comprises hallway, spacious open-plan living and dining area, large modern bathroom including shower and split-level mezzanine bedroom including 2 single beds which overlooks the lounge. The hallway has large sliding wardrobes and there is more storage space in the lounge area. The kitchen is fully fitted complete with smart breakfast bar, oven/hob, fridge freezer, etc., leading to a spacious lounge area featuring wide sliding windows with lovely views towards the sea. The lounge also includes a fold-out sofa bed suitable for sleeping 1 child. The spacious bathroom includes a bath and shower, bidet and WC. This apartment has a beautiful and large private swimming pool which has a wide terraced area perfect for relaxing/enjoying. WIFI is available if required, 30 Euros per week.

Fantastic pool, nice studio

Cabanas is a lovely resort, we enjoy being by the pool, which was fantastic and we had it to ourselves for the majority of the time. The studio was compact, as described.

Disappointed in external reality

Seamless booking arrangements, communication post- arrival, and self check in. Interior as pictures and descriptions. Clean and functional. Good quality WiFi (additional weekly cost as stated when booking). Unfortunately the outside areas were an enormous disappointment and forced us to leave after one night. Exterior pictures are deceptive and the description of a 'balcony' is, in our opinion, miss-advertised. Whilst the outside photos are genuine they are extremely dated and we later realised that so too were the consistently high reviews (last dated 2018, our fault for not considering the implications of this). The external area of the complex is tired and jaded in terms of decor and maintenance. The balcony is not a balcony and is literally the area outside the door which does not have capacity to sit two people comfortably and is not enclosed. Furthermore you would not want to sit outside as the picture is not today's reality, the walls are greying and the area is dark and unwelcoming (we have photos to illustrate this). The swimming pool quality was very good and clearly well maintained but unfortunately the surrounding area of the pool was not very attractive (again jaded) and what sunbeds were there, were either broken or in need of cleaning (despite being told the pool and sunbeds had recently been refurbished). The outdoor area is such an important part of our holiday and we were very disappointed at the reality. When we contacted the host and enquired as to whether we could upgrade to a more suitable accomodation we were told there were no other properties available. This sadly was an outright lie as the host had multiple properties advertised for these dates in the locality and we know this as we were looking to re-locate as soon as we could. We would have preferred a straightforward and honest, 'no we don't upgrade /move our guests'. We were willing to pay extra with our host but after initial correspondence the host no longer replied. We appreciated that there was a clear no refund policy. However, the property was NOT as advertised and therefore failed to meet trading standards and the external photos gave a false impression. We realise our booking incurred initial expense but having left after night 1 (of an 11 night stay) we were disappointed that the host was not willing to consider a compromise and/or partial refund in light of the issues raised. This is the first time this has happened to us & we will be cautious in future.

Prima apartement. Alles erop en eraan wat je nidig hebt. Airco ging kapot, werd meteen gemaakt.

Apartement is ruim genoeg voor 2 personen. Airco heb je nodig omdat op de vide slapen warm is . Appartement ligt in rustige buurt. Dichtbij strand, restaurantjes waar het heerlijk eten is. Supermarkt in de buurt. Op de fiets naar Tavira, goed te doen ook over de n125. Al met al een heerlijke week ook Alcoutim is de moeite waard.

Incomparable ubicación muy cercano a la plaza principal y la zona de barcas para ir a la playa. Está muy bien equipado, la piscina es grande y Mark él propietario amable. Solo a modo de sugerencia poner cortinas oscuras o black out ya q a primera hora entra bastante sol.

Fabulous Place To Stay

We have just returned from a week's stay here and we loved it. The owners keep the place spotlessly clean, the swimming pool and the gardens are beautiful. They are also very helpful and friendly. The apartment has everything you need, air-con etc. and is very comfortable, the location is so peaceful. You do not need a car, because the location is just near the waterfront of Cabanas and ideal to ensure that you can explore the area. Would definitely recommend this accommodation. Overall, if you are looking for a relaxing holiday somewhere that is close enough to the waterfront to visit shops and restaurants but far enough to get peace and quiet, this is the place for you. We would definitely return!

Spacious and clean apartment with very nice pool.

Had a lovely stay at this apartment, fab, very spacious and very clean. Had the pool to ourselves, so we spent a lot of time just chilling there. We had every thing there that we needed. Easy 5 minutes walk to the beach, most days we ate out as there is a great choice of restaurants. A car is not necessary as everything is within easy walking distance. We will defiantly book again next year.

Excellent Village, Fantastic Apartment.

We have rented properties all over the world and this apartment is fantastic. Everything has been thought of and it was spotlesly clean and tidy. There is a lovley mezzanine bedroom and a beautiful lounge plus a funky kitchen with a breakfast bar. The apartment has air conditioning and a georgeous swimming pool where we spent a lot of time. You only a few minutes stroll from all the action and there is a huge choice of places to eat .The owners are a delight to deal with full of info and always get back to you asap. Also Mark who met us on arrival is a great guy and very helpful. If we could give this place more than 5 stars we would. Thank you Mark and Agnes. We hope to be back soon . Beverly and Dave.

Beautiful location and apartment.

This apartment is ideal for both the beach and local amenities which are all just a short walk away in this small and friendly village. The village itself still retains much of it's original character as a working fishing town. A boat trip to the nearby island with it's quiet beaches is a must. The swimming pool with this apartment is amazing, so peaceful and relaxing, we loved spending time there. The apartment itself is very clean, very well furnished and equipped with everything you would expect, including air conditioning and was ideal for our holiday. We will visit again and would recommend this apartment.

Spacious, comfortable with every need catered for.

We stayed in the middle of February and for the time of year the weather was lovely. From our initial contact with the owners, everything was very well organised and we were provided with lots of information. The apartment was spotless, very spacious with lots of homely and personal touches. It is perfectly situated in Cabanas, in a quiet location just a short walk to the beach and the centre, which has lots of restaurants and something for everyone. The pool area was very well kept and clean. We would certainly recommend and definitely stay again.

Beautiful apartment and location.

My wife and I stayed at the apartment for 14 great days. The location was fantastic - so close to the pretty boardwalk (great sunsets), the local eating and drinking haunts and the ferry to the beach. We really enjoyed a great prawn curry at Cantinho do pescador which is only a few minutes walk from the apartment. Vitamas Bar is really good for a lovely cup of coffee and breakfast. The apartment itself is in great condition and beautifully decorated. It is really spacious for two and would easily fit a child in as well. It is decorated and furnished like someone's home rather than a rental property! The best part of our stay was spending a lot of time at the beautiful swimming pool, I think it is a must to have a pool like this when booking an apartment. Overall we had a great time in this apartment and Cabanas. Mark made the whole booking process really straight forward and gave us loads of tips on where to go and what to see. Thanks for everything, see you next year.

Awesome apt, great location, excellent service.

This was just a great customer experience from initial booking right through to the end of the holiday, Mark and Agnes were amazing and provided the best customer service, all communication was just great, informative and very friendly. On arrival we were greeted and shown around the apartment and local area. The apartment itself is modern, very clean and well laid out with everything provided that you need for a comfortable stay, very comfortable beds and sofas, towels and linin provided. The apartment has a lovely peaceful swimming pool, ideal for relaxing the whole of the day, we spent many hours there just dipping in and out of the crystal clear water. We have been to the Algarve many times to the West of Faro, this was the first time to the East and we fell in love with Cabanas and the local area and will return soon for sure. Cabanas is so friendly with many great restaurants, bars and cafes. There is a very short boat ride to the beach, although there are many other great beaches in the area too, Tavira & Tavira Island is a must which is 5k away, also consider going inland to, Alcoutim on the Guadiana river is an awesome place, Castro Marim is worth a visit too. We just didn't want to come home from this holiday, overall an amazing relaxing experience, 1st class service from Mark and Agnes, keep up the good work!

An oasis of comfort and relaxation.

The apartment is ideally situated, being within easy walking distance to the centre of Cabanas and the beach and the waterfront. It is modern, light, bright, extremely comfortable and well equipped. The view from the terrace is lovely and the swimming pool is a joy, especially at sunset. The attention to detail in the apartment is wonderful; there is nothing lacking, making it a great place for a most comfortable and relaxing stay.

Beautiful apartment, exellent location for beach.

This is our 2nd stay in this apartment, once again it exceeded expectations. If we were to stay in Cabanas again, this apartment would be our first choice for accommodation. There is everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday and a swimming pool that we had mainly to ourselves during our two week stay. The location is just perfect, so close to the beach and not in the centre of town, but an easy stroll to get there, supermarkets are nearby, we used the Spa approx. 5 min walk, but there are other supermarkets in town, for bread we used a little local shop and the daily market for our fresh fish. None of the amenities were out of our way, if we needed supplies. We visited the beach in Cabanas and Tavira Island, all just an easy ferry ride away. We used the local ferry at the very end of the harbour, only a few euros to get to the beaches not expensive at all, cant remember exactly how much. Took the train to Tavira - again very easy to get there , line 1 going out to Tavira , line 2 returning to Cabanas, they were efficient and cheap. Tavira was lovely, a little more touristy than Cabanas. Thank you Mark and Agnes for allowing us to stay in your wonderful apartment, the home comforts helped to make our holiday even more special, hope to be back in the future.

Absolutely Perfect

We wanted peace, privacy and to get away from it all. We got all of that and more besides. The apartment was stunning, spotless and decorated to the highest of standards. The pool area was beautiful and the water extremely clean. There was absolutely no noise around the pool except the birds singing. Both Mark and Agnes were lovely and friendly. They were very helpful with any questions we had. We felt extremely well rested as the beds ware extremely comfortable and the living room very relaxing. We travelled around all the local villages and towns..all within a 20 to 30 minute drive and enjoyed the scenery and beautiful views. We ate in a couple of the restaurants in Cabanas, all extremely cheap. This is one of the most stunning places we have stayed in....its perfect for a romantic getaway so close to the best beach in the Algarve. We would love to return.

Wonderful apartment in superb location

Quite simply, this is the best accommodation we've used in Portugal over the last 20 years. To begin, Mark makes the booking process and finding the property very easy; this is a real bonus for people new to the Algarve. The property feels like a family home and the cleanliness, quality of fixtures and fittings, and the décor reflect this. Although we didn't use the kitchen facilities much, they are excellent, the kitchen is well equipped and of a high standard. Upstairs the bedroom is spacious with 2 very comfortable single beds adorned with quality linen. The swimming pool is just perfect and very quiet, even in August when we were there. In terms of location, you wont find better in the area if you desire a great apartment a few meters from the beach and the centre of town. In summary, highly recommended and already looking for flights for next year.

A disappointment

While pictures of the loft bedroom were shown of the apartment on the web site, upon arrival the steep "ships ladder" stair was a concern. If you have to go to the bathroom in the night, the steep stair with the hard tile floor below are certainly a concern. We opted to pull off the single bed sheets and blankets and sleep on the pull out couch on the lower level. We had booked for the minimum 7 nights, but upon asking to check out after the first, we were faced with a no refund policy. The owner did promptly provide us with suitable bedding for the pull out couch. The apartment is located on the upper floor of the building, facing the street. There was an incredibly bright street light right outside the window that washed the walls with yellow light all night long. You could tell it was morning when the room finally got darker when the light shut off. Something smelled in the kitchen. I think it was rancid grease from previous occupants that was not cleaned up. We didn't use the kitchen. The bathtub did not drain properly and you were always standing in water when showering. There was a pedestal sink in the bathroom, so there was no place to lay out toiletries, and the mirror was offset from the sink. mounted on the wall between the sink and toilet. After day four of seven, we started to pursue alternate accommodation. After day five of seven we left, choosing to sacrifice the remaining two days. The unit was within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants. It is a very small commercial district so there were not a lot of options. You have to pay a small fee to get ferried over to the beach which is on an island, across a small straight of water. This seemed a bit odd, but the beach is one of the nicest we have been on . 7km long and not at all crowded. Facilities one the island were minimal, but there was a building offering food and beverage. This location was the only let down on our three week vacation on the south coast.
