This property is beautifully curated and full of charm! The moment we walked in, we all gasped at how thoughtfully every detail had been considered. It truly felt like no need went unmet. The kitchen was fully stocked, the sheets and linens were incredibly soft, and the entire home was spotless. Checkout was refreshingly simple with very little on the to-do list. We are already planning a return trip!
We had a group of eight women for a family girls weekend. It is in a modest but safe area and the house is lovely. The house was large, beautifully decorated, and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with a huge fridge and freezer, large stove, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, coffee makers. There were a two large area for us to gather. The beds were comfy and it helped that there were 4 bathrooms. The owner was responsive and contacted me to make sure all was well. We had a wonderful time together and I would definitely stay there again.
The house was gorgeous and had everything you needed in it. The hosts were very nice and welcoming! We loved it! We came for my mother’s birthday and it was phenomenal! This may just be during our stay but lots of cobwebs and huge spiders around so be cautious.
Beautiful home, close to the beach. We came up for the Kenosha Homecoming and our group had a great time gathering, talking about our cars, and relaxing. Our host was available via text — answered promptly to any questions or concerns.
Absolutely fantastic! So many extra amenities. Every kitchen item we could possibly want. We stayed 5 days and cooked almost every meal for 8 people. Sparkling clean and truly beautiful. Close to the lakefront and beautiful walking paths in Kenosha.
We had so much fun and the place was beautifully done! Plenty of room and places to get away even. Would definitely recommend this property to everyone!!

Thanks Christine!
So glad you enjoyed the property! We would love to have you again.
Spacious, beautiful home with comfortable gathering spaces and lots of seating for eating together with extended family.Host was easy to reach and responded quickly to messages. Slight mixup on the part of VRBO regarding check-in instructions, but host gave us what we needed to get in.
We had 8 adults and 5 children stay at this amazing property! Close to several beaches, hot tub worked great, two areas to gather as a group. Kitchen was fully stocked and we were easily able to prepare all of our meals there. The only other thing I would mention is that if you are staying in the master suite (which was amazing) there is a high skylight that did let in a lot of sun in the mornings. It ultimately didn’t affect us much, but is worth noting in my view. Joe was a great communicator and we really enjoyed our stay. 10/10
I always rent the best, This property was perfect, clean and beautiful. Our group of 4 couples have done this many times now and this house did not disappoint. We are 73 yrs old now and Shelly and Joe answered their phone 10 times before we got the house figured out! Great owners.
The house fit our family of 12 very well and allowed every family to have their own bathroom, which is always helpful with a large group from out of town! Communication with the owner was quick and easy. The house is stocked with plenty of towels, sheets, and kitchen items. Just a side note that the washer needs to have a clean out, it happens with front loaders. Thank you!
My husband and I selected this house for a pre-Christmas get-away with our four adult daughters, two husbands and a baby. We couldn't have been happier with our selection. The on-line photos do a good job of accurately representing the amenities, of which there are many. Each couple had their own distinct room, two of which had en suite bathrooms and three of which had shared hall baths. We also enjoyed that there were two distinct sitting areas -- the downstairs living/dining area and the spacious upstairs family room/den. Everyone was able to find a space for themselves, if they wanted some alone time (or to scream/sing while watching Taylor Swift's Eras Tour again!).
The beds were comfortable (although note that the pillows are very firm) and the water pressure in the showers was exceptional. But the best part about the house is how well-appointed it is. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal for 8 people (as we did every night). The dining table comfortably seats up to 12 people (or 8 people and a jigsaw puzzle in progress!). As we were there in December, we very much enjoyed having the wood-burning stove (wood provided!) and the outdoor hot tub (which was very clean and well-maintained). And don't forget the ping pong table in the garage which was the source of many heated tournaments!
As we were leaving, our kids asked when we could come back and do it all again. Maybe summer next time, so we can take advantage of all the outdoor activities, as well.
This year was our 21st annual fishing trip and we decided to try our luck salmon fishing on Lake Michigan. We needed a house large enough for 12 guys that was close to the lake and this one did not disappoint. Great outdoor space for hanging and grilling, chilling, and throwing cornhole (bring your own boards if you’re serious throwers.)
Inside was huge with a nice kitchen featuring Viking appliances and a Sub Zero fridge/freezer. Dining/living room was great for meals and a table big enough for everyone to play poker and have a seat. Lots of beds and extra space for those not wanting to have an awkward spoon.
If you’re near Kenosha and looking for a space that accommodates a large group I would certainly recommend this house!
This home is a wonderful place to retreat, reset and refresh. I brought women together from their mid-20's to 60's and everyone enjoyed this home. There was space to be alone and there was space to be together. The kitchen is amazing and every part of that home is welcoming. The hot tub and firepit were amazing.

This is exactly what we love our home to be used for! Bringing people together. Thank you!
The accommodations at this property was perfect! Beautiful design, Just as described! Accommodated 2 families with adult children very well. Definitely 5 star!
Our family of 11 (6 adults, 5 children 9 & under) visited this home in Kenosha in June of 2021. The size of the home was perfect for us. The house was clean and beds comfortable. Communication with the owner was very easy. Any questions or issues we had were addressed promptly and in a friendly manner with Shelly. We had inquired about pickleball nearby and when the owners didn't find options, they ordered a portable pickleball net and delivered it to the home. We were able to park 3 cars and set up the pickball net in the spacious driveway. So if you play pickleball, you will have a net waiting for you. All you will need is sidewalk chalk for the lines. The beach very close by was beautiful and clean. Our grandkids had a wonderful time there and on a nearby new large playground. The only issues we had were the following: The cookware (pots & pans) were very worn out. We had a very difficult time with food sticking and trying to clean them. They need to be replaced. There are train tracks nearby. One night the whistle woke everyone up. This was only one night & all other trips were during the day. These two items were minor issues compared to the positive overall experience. I would highly recommend this home & owners.
Joe’s house was exactly what we were looking for for a girls weekend staycation. With people coming from Milwaukee and Chicago, it was the perfect in-between location. The house is located a short (less than 20 minute) walk to Lake Michigan, but even if you don’t go to the lake there is plenty of space at the house to relax and hang out. The kitchen was nicely stocked, and all of the beds were extremely comfortable. I would stay here again, and recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful house in Kenosha!
Our group consisted of 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 6, 4, 3, and 1). The setup of this house is absolutely lovely for families! Ample bedrooms and baths for adults and kids - making it easy for both families to have an easy time with bedtimes! The property is lovely.
One thing that was a surprise but so amazing - the TVs have Roku - so for movie nights for the kids you really couldn’t have a better setup.
The house was beautiful and amenities were perfect. Between the hot tub, fire pit, and numerous comforts in the home, this was a perfect short getaway. The house being tucked back from the road makes you feel worlds away while still being close to any store/utility you may need. John and Shelly were fantastic hosts with great communication as well. I wholly recommend staying here!
I grew up in Kenosha on the South side and Joe came here to attend Carthage College where we met and fell in love. We are a family of 7 who in this home have loved to entertain and make memories with friends and family. We have also made some great music out in our detached garage when Joe owned a recording studio and manage artists and did a lot of cool things at Skies Fall Media. It has since become a place for building supplies as he then transitioned into making beautiful spaces. He's a designer. He designed this amazing house that we get to share with you. We are now making a move out to California where we will make new friends in Orange County at Genesis Collective and beyond. Maybe one day we will make a movie and you can say you stayed at our home in Kenosha. As for me, well, motherhood has been the biggest gig of my life. After graduating from Carthage College with a sports medicine major and working there for a year, we starting making a family. We hope a lot of good memories are made for you too in these walls that we built.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property when our first son was just a baby. A little 1100 sqft 3 bedroom, 2 bath house farm house of the land. Built in 1901. We tore it down to the studs and rebuilt the insides and added an ensuite bathroom. Four children and three remodels later, it's turned into the treasured home it is now. With high ceilings and nice natural lighting,
