With a private garden which has spectacular panoramic views over this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Rose Cottage provides the ideal location to relax and unwind. With lots of original features such as the huge open fireplace with crook and crane, exposed stone work and quarry-tiled floors. This cottage is perfectly appointed and has all the facilities that you could need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
This cottage is the original farmhouse on the property and embodies over two hundred years of history. The last farming family to occupy this cottage did all of their cooking over the open fire, carried their water from the well, read by oil lamps and candles and used an outside loo! Fortunately for guests running water and electricity have been installed, cooking is with gas and the two toilets meet modern standards!
The cottage is also within easy reach of excellent golfing, sailing, fishing, horse riding and adventure activity facilities and after a great day following these pursuits, or walking, cycling or sightseeing by car, why not relax in one of the area’s best pubs or restaurants? Or settle down with a glass of wine and a good book in front of the traditional open fireplace where a lovely log fire is blazing.
