Experience a tropical paradise with our recently remodeled convenient ground floor, remote work friendly, 1-bedroom, 1-bath Kihei Akahi condo in the coastal town of Kihei, Maui. Located directly across from Kihei's most popular swimming beaches, Kamaole I, II, and III our condo offers the perfect combination of convenience, luxury, and tranquility.

Step inside our newly renovated condo, carefully designed to create a welcoming and stylish experience for our guests. The remodeling was completed in June of 2023, with the goal of providing a fresh, modern, and comfortable home away from home.

Our condo provides a comfortable place where you can unwind after a day of exploration and adventure. Relax on the sofa and watch your favorite shows or movies on the 55" flat-screen Roku TV. The Split AC system in both the bedroom and living room, allows you to comfortably adapt to the island's tropical climate.

Our newly remodeled kitchen is equipped with quartz countertops, state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances, and a wide range of cookware and utensils, the kitchen provides everything you need. Enjoy your meals at the dining table, at the island bar, or take your meals outside to the private, ground floor level lanai, where you can enjoy your meal and tropical beverages while enjoying the Maui breeze and breathtaking sunsets.

When it's time to sleep, the bedroom offers a brand NEW Serta Hybrid king-sized mattress and platform bed. Thanks to the Split AC system, you can adjust the temperature to your liking, ensuring that you stay cool and comfortable throughout the night. The newly remodeled bathroom is equipped with modern fixtures, quartz counters, featuring a walk-in shower with a rain shower head.

Thanks you for letting us stay at your beautiful condo. The condo is totally updated with new AC in both the living-room and bedroom. The kitchen is beautifully done with all the appliances and cooking utensils that you could need. The view has a beautiful garden view and the pool and grills are a minute away. We truly loved staying in your unit and the beach is a short distance away.

Beautiful unit at a wonderful property. The decor and comfort really made it feel like home away from home. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Location is fantastic! Condo was beautiful, super clean and was an excellent experience. We couldn't of asked for anything better. The ground floor was excellent as we had easy access to the lawn area and pool out front. Additionally the air conditioning throughout was real nice, especially in the bedroom, which allowed for a nice peaceful sleep. If you want a top notch condo in Kihei, this is the place.

Fun location

The condo was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the communications with the owners and their sharing suggestions on what to do in the area. It was nice being close by the beaches and the shops in Kihei.

Great location for us.

Loved having the ground floor. Just a short walk to a great beach but far enough away to not hear crashing wave and road noise. Handy to grocery shopping and some great dining. Our hosts were great, quick to answer any questions we had.

We loved the location and the accommodations. Property owners were great, responded to our questions quickly and wanted us to have a 5 star stay, which we did! Neighbors were friendly, pool was steps away, beautiful beach was about a 4 minute walk. Restaurants and shops all within walking distance. It was perfect for us!

Perfect Location

This property was the absolute perfect home away from home for our stay in Maui. It was across the street from a wonderful beach. The unit had all of the kitchen utensils we needed to cook inside or even grill out by the pool! I highly recommend this unit.

Kathy and Leo’s condo was a great central location for me and my daughter to explore Maui. Close to beautiful beaches in Wailea and also great beaches right across the street! Condo was clean and had everything we needed including umbrella and beach chairs. Recently remodeled kitchen and bathroom gave the condo a fresh modern feel. Would definitely recommend!

Kathy and Leo's condo offers everything one would want or need in a vacation condo. Their condo was spacious, well laid, clean and in an excellent location. We really enjoyed our stay at Kathy and Leo’s condo. It was very well stocked with everything you would need. They were very attentive and answered emails back very quickly. Perfect stay in Paradise

The title says it all. This place is amazing. It has everything you need and even things you didn't know you needed. We really liked that the location was in the back of the complex away from any traffic noise. The entire place was spotless and we really appreciated the starter soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. The furniture and bed was extremely comfortable. The AC is an added bonus although with the trade winds blowing, we really didn't need it. The location is perfect for walking to a lot of great restaurants and the beach. Kathy and Leo were great with the communication and always available to answer any questions. Can't wait to book again for next fall.

The perfect vacation rental!

Leo and Kathy's Rental was a perfect stay! They were the best hosts we have ever had! Kathy and Leo checked in with us before, during and after our stay. My fiance and I were only a short walk away from the beach and the rental provided us with everything we needed. The rental had a kitchen for cooking meals and a washer and dryer for our week long stay. We were also driving distance from all of the popular spots. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this rental to anyone wishing to stay in Maui!

LOVE this unit and newly remodeled

I absolutely love Kathy & Leo’s condo at Kihei Akahi. Ground floor so very easy to come and go. Beautifully remodeled kitchen and bathroom. The D building is very private yet easy walk to restaurants, shopping and right across from one of the best beach in my opinion. Even better was the split AC system which was wonderful as it was quite warm while I was there. Kathy & Leo were attentive hosts before and during my stay. I will definitely continue to be a repeat guest.

Aloha! 🌺🌴 A beautiful little oasis, nicely decorated, clean and great amenities in the suite for cooking. They even have chairs an umbrella and a cooler for the beach. We loved being on the ground floor cause the chickens would always be walking by. The location is perfect, walking distance to so many things and a 3 minute walk down the driveway to the beach. We had a lovely time and dealing with Kathy and Leo was really easy and they were super friendly and accommodating, the place was perfect!! Mahalo ~Laurie & Elvis 😃

Great location and Great stay

We stayed in May/June 2022 for a much needed get away after COVID restrictions had cancelled plans for a couple years and this was a great little place to stay. The condo is nice and homey with a pool right outside the lanai but no noise to bother. The beach is right across the road and chairs, coolers and umbrella were provided. Boogie boards we rented just down the road. Shopping, restaurants, markets, all within a short walk. It was a great place and perfect location and we will definitely come again and spread the word. PS —- if you book with the owners directly you can avoid a fee.

Great spot ! Close to everything

Owners put a lot of thought into the details of unit- nothing missing. Walking distance to restaurants/shops and the most perfect Sandy beach! Bedroom is at other end of unit, which was perfect for me. I get up early and have coffee and all that jazz and my daughter was able to sleep in. Owners were a text away if needed. Only thing I needed was advice which beach to hit hahaha I would defiantly recommend unit!!!

The location is wonderful, just across the street to the beach. The kitchen and bathroom were just remodelled and are lovely. There are air conditioners in the living room and bedroom, but the weather was so good that I didn’t need to use it when the sliding door and front doors were open. I loved the fresh breeze. I felt completely safe as a solo traveler. There are two swimming pools in the beautifully landscaped grounds. On a day that you just want to chill and have dinner on the patio, you can see the beautiful after glow of the sunset from the patio. I really enjoyed my stay and the communication with the hosts was very easy.

Beautiful, peaceful condo

We loved our stay at Kathy & Leo's condo. They thought of everything that someone would need to be comfortable. Many extra touches such as zip lock bags in the pantry in case we wanted to take snacks to the beach with us. Sounds silly, but for me, saved me a hassle from buying the bags and then having to toss all when I only needed a handful. I mention this because this is the sort of care they take to make their place feels like home. Extremely clean, well-organized, comfortable bed, comfortable seating, nice shower, good internet, easy access to the pool and lovely garden to walk directly on from the lanai. We would absolutely rent from them again. :)

Great location and complex

My wife and I, along with our 2 young daughters had an amazing time stating at Leo and Kathy's condo at the Akahi. The location of the complex is ideal, right across the street from Kam 2, which is one of the best beaches in Kihei and walking distance from shops, restaurants, ice cream, and all the other required amenities. The unit was well equipped and had everything we needed for cooking during of it stay. The unit location is great for families, being on the main floor allows the kids to play in the grassy area right out the lanai and it's adjacent to the pool so easy to run back and forth if you forgot anything. Leo was proactive in contacting us to see if there was anything we needed and to confirm the unit was as expected. We would definitely stay again!

Leo and Kathy were great. Very communicative and happy to help with anything. While we typically like to stay at the resorts in Maui, they were way too expensive. I must do a shout out for the comfortable bed and pillows as well as the linens. All were great. Also, they had the same sound machine which allowed us to sleep great.

Great Vacation!

The weather was fantastic and the condo was very comfortable (having A/C was great!). The location in Kihei was awesome, we were able to walk to restaurants, bars and stores. There is a great beach called Kamaole II literally across the street where we paddle boarded. All in all, we had a great time here in Maui and loved this condo. I can’t wait to come back to the Island!

We are Kathy and Leo. We have been regularly coming to the Hawaiian Islands and Maui (our favorite island) for over 20+ years. We love to play golf here, explore new restaurants, and work remotely at our condo as often as we can! From the time that we first visited Maui, we discussed the possibility of, someday, owning property on Maui and now we have finally achieved our dream! We are both the owners and operators of our condo and enjoy interacting directly with our guests before, during and after their stay with us on the beautiful island of Maui. 🌺

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love Maui. The first time we saw the Kihei Akahi complex we knew we wanted to some day buy a condo there. The location is perfect, walking distance to restaurants, bars and for us, very close drive to golf! One of our favorite things to do is to sit on the lanai for an evening beverage then walk 1000 ft to Kamaole II beach to watch the sunsets up close. Even better, have dinner and drinks at Fred's Mexican Cafe (just next to Kihei Akahi) and enjoy the sunset while eating. 🍹🌅

What makes this property unique
