This 3 bedroom, 1 bath chalet has been totally updated! One main floor bedroom with a Queen bed. One full bath on main floor. Head on upstairs to find 2 additional bedrooms - one with a Queen bed, the other with two Full beds. Large laundry/utility room/mud room. Large porch deck on the front of the home and a wooded lot and fire pit out back with picnic table. A perfect getaway just 1/2 mile from South Higgins Lake State Park and Marl Lake!

The place was great, just as pictured and very clean. Check in and out was simple. The only negative was that the beds are very firm, husband opted for the couch on night two. But it’s a great stay for a family weekend!

Property is very close to state park. Very clean home. Lots of deer to observe. Thank you our hosts for providing corn cobs to feed to chipmunks and squirrels it was fun to watch them.

Peaceful cabin!

Loved the cabin, it was very clean and nicely appointed. Bryan was very responsive and kind. We loved the property and neighborhood. We saw lots of deer including a pair of fawns with their mama. It’s a great place for kids and adults alike. We also loved being so close to south Higgins state park! Highly recommend.

We are a busy family of 4 from Northwest Ohio. Mom, dad and two daughters. We have a hectic lifestyle of mostly work and some play. We like to visit Higgins Lake as often as we can, but we're not able to be here as often as we'd like to be, so we're opening up our home for you to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property as a family vacation destination. With so much to do all year around at Higgins Lake, this is the perfect place to spend our weekends when we're not working or traveling. When we can't be here, we want to share the experience with you. Enjoy the beach, shops and hiking and riding trails in the summer or go snowmobiling, ice fishing, snowshoeing or cross county skiing in the winter. Or you can take a day trip to dozens of quaint cities. Our cabin is in the middle of it all. Close to Higgins, Marl and Houghton Lake. Close to tons of great restaurants. Close to hiking and riding trails.

What makes this property unique

There is always something to do "Up North" no matter what time of year. We're close to so many attractions. Higgins Lake is amazing...the 6th most beautiful lake in the United States. There are many things to do: boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking, hiking, hunting, ATV-ing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and so much more. Our cabin is in a neighborhood, but with wooded lots on all sides, it offers complete privacy. Put some corn out on our squirrel stands and sit back and watch the squirrels and deer play.
