For this summer, you may want to use an alternate route to your cabin utilizing a bypass to avoid construction work connected with the downtown highway realigning “Loop”. During your visit, you may encounter higher volumes of detouring traffic and sounds of construction activity. The closest construction is across the river on West Riverside Drive with limited visibility from your cabin and you might hear it outside or on a walk toward downtown. We believe inside your cabin it will be quiet and cozy as usual. Some of the ongoing work is slated to be completed as the season progresses. Construction work is limited to 7am to 7pm. If we learn anymore we will let you know. Notwithstanding the traffic disruptions, we are confident you (coming with a little extra humor and grace) can experience the best of This Mountain Life, Estes Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park. The digital map in the photo gallery shows the winding Moccasin Bypass from your point entering town (Highway 34 or 36) to your cabin front door. This route will divert you from traffic disruptions. Can't wait to see you!

Rick and Cheryl are amazing hosts. We had such an amazing time staying here. Great location for quick access to RMNP and the heart of Estes Park is within short walking distance.
The cabin was great and located within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The hosts were very easy to work with and responded quickly to all of our requests. We had a great time and will use this property again!
My son and I had a chance to get away and do some exploring in RMNP, and we lucked out by finding Reflection Cabin for our stay. We loved everything about it - the coziness, the quaint little kitchen with everything we needed, the fresh mountain breeze, and the sound of the river across the street. We loved watching Netflix with a fire each evening after long days of hiking, and also loved how close it was to walk or drive into town for food/shopping/etc. Rick and Cheryl were excellent hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!

Thank you so much, Caroline. We enjoyed having you and are honored that This Mountain Life is now part of your story.
This adorable red little cabin was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. The beds pushed together easily to make a king, and the owners actually did that for us. The fridge held everything we needed for the week. The bathroom was super cute and we loved the provided amenities. The kitchen really had everything we needed to cook. It was such a short drive to Rocky Mountain National Park that we easily spent our whole days there but absolutely loved walking around town in the evenings and enjoying the restaurants and shops. We will be back!!!
Charming Cottage but too close for comfort to the road
Cheryl was a very accommodating host and met us when we arrived. She thoroughly explained everything and was very gracious. This cabin was very charming and we loved it. The only thing we didn’t like was hearing traffic race by at night and early morning. We were shocked when we measured that the road was only a couple of steps from the front of the cabin, which was probably approximately 6 feet or less. I want to stress again that the cabin was fine but we had no idea that the road was less than 6 feet away and we would hear traffic all night long and in the early morning. A car could easily run into the side of the cabin and cause extreme damage and we felt unsafe.

We enjoyed meeting Marla and Bob at Reflection Cabin and are so happy that they loved our cabin. We’re very sorry that the cabin location was not what they expected. We are confident that they were safe during their stay and that other guests have found the location to be ideal. We wish them the very best.
Charming, well appointed cabin/cottage. We loved how close it was to downtown Estes Park. Enjoyed the real wood fireplace. While small it more than met the needs for my wife and I.
My husband and I loved our stay at the Reflection cabin! It was a quick walk downtown to shopping and restaurants and less than a 10 minute drive to RMNP. The cabin itself was adorable, super clean and super cozy but still roomy. Our favorite part was the wood burning stove which we used every night to heat the cabin. It was also super sweet that the hosts check you in and make sure you are comfortable for your stay, I never experienced that before and it was nice to know the ins and outs explained to us rather than guessing. Overall, this place may be my favorite rental I ever stayed at and I highly recommend it!
The reflection cabin was a great place to stay for our long weekend in Estes. Very convenient location to RMNP (less than 10 minutes to the gate) and walking distance to Estes. The cabin was cute as ever and had everything we needed. Highly recommend staying here!
Cheryl and Rick were amazing hosts, the cabin was located walking distance to downtown. It was super clean and had everything and more that you might need. Close to RMNP, great restaurants, The Stanley and more. A wonderful stay for our 36th anniversary!!
A wonderful experience from the rental to the departure. Cheryl and Rick are the greatest!
The adorable cabin was perfect for us. Clean and well equipped. We will be returning !
This was the coziest cabin for a couple's weekend. It was beautifuly decorated but kept a lot of the old character. All finishings were modern and comfortable and the location to the creek and downtown were huge benefits while we were there. Cheryl was a lovely and accommodating host. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and family.
This property was comfortable, well equipped, and just a short walk into Estes Park. It was perfect for our trip to RMNP. We would definitely stay again!
Adorable cabin located walking distance to everything! Cheryl and Rick were super gracious. They thought of every detail when they restored this cabin. Fabulous!
One can not go wrong with staying here. It’s clean. Perfect walking distance to downtown which saves you from paying the parking fees. Owners were great as well. The stream across the street was perfect for reading and simply enjoying the quiet moments.
I loved every aspect of this vacation! Incredible hosts, adorable cabin, and perfect location. It was everything and more than I was hoping for! I will absolutely stay there when I return to Estes Park!
Loved staying here! Walking distance to shops and restaurants and a good place to drive into the Rocky Mountain National Park. We were met by Cheryl and she was very helpful. Would recommend!!
Absolutely live out stay at Reflection! Ablorabqe, quaint cabin right across from the river yet steps to downtown. We especially appreciated Rick’s great hiking suggestions & meeting him and his sweet daughter!
We loved this cabin. The cleanliness was great, the owners were fantastic to work with and the location was within 5/10 of Estes. We had no complaints.
My wife and I had a great stay at The Mountain.Life cabin. Centrally located to downtown Estes Park and an easy drive RMNP. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and hope to be back soon
