You can leave your car parked and make the easy 10-15 minute flat walk into Gatlinburg, avoiding traffic and parking fees. The trolley stop is only a 5 minute walk form this location. When you look at this magnificent property you will be as amazed as we were at this little piece of heaven. There is a soothing respite that is created by being situated DIRECTLY on the Little Pigeon River. There are very few properties in all of Gatlinburg that offer full access for the fisherman, the swimmer or the person that wants to sit on a rock and be taken to a place of total relaxation. Even for the grumpiest of souls, there is something totally relaxing when you crack your window and can hear the rush of the water over the rocks all night long. Imagine being able to catch a beautiful trout while your kids have played in the river all day and you have not had to leave your front porch. The Little Pigeon River is your backyard! So, relax and enjoy the soothing sounds of the rushing water. It is an easy10 minute stroll to the Center of the Gatlinburg Strip. The main sidewalk that goes completely through town is a five minute LEVEL walk from this house. You have fabulous parking and you do not have to climb a steep mountain road to arrive at your destination. You have all the feel of the mountains, the conveniences of a motel and you have the luxury of being in an individual home. It does not get any better than that. We built this house with our personal families in mind. The house has a master on the main level so you can bring your grandparents or older family members and they do not have to maneuver many stairs. It is perfect in the fact that in this age of technology you will be amazed how quickly children are drawn to the magic of the river. They will want to play all day long. Which gives you the time to relax which is what a vacation is all about.

A short walk to downtown Gatlinburg. Perfect location. Plenty of room for everyone! Love having the river behind us. Just as magical as it was 2 years ago. We will definitely be back!
A must stay! The house is beautiful and gives you so much room to relax. The backyard on the river is a dream to play in and look at every morning. We loved walking to the town instead of always have to drive and park. The best part was how responsive the host was to all my questions! You should be book this dream house now!
The house was very clean and well appointed. It had plenty of space for our extended family for a long weekend.
The walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg was a bonus. The patio by the river was a great place to relax.
The property was great. Lots of room for everyone to spread. The hubby, son and kids fished in the creek behind the house. We wished the kids area at the park a mile up the road was open but due to construction it was not. Enjoyed our stay!!!
The description for this property was very accurate. The location was great. The otters were out which provided much entertainment as otter spotters. Everyone had plenty of space to socialize without being too crowded. The process was very easy to register. Will be a repeat client. .
Our yearly visits to the Smokey’s are the highlights of our summer! We typically rent homes located in the mountains but decided to stay riverside, closer to town this year. This property couldn’t have been more accommodating to our wishes! Waking up riverside and having our coffee waterfront couldn’t have been more relaxing! We highly recommend this home as its close to town yet secluded from the noise.
If you’re looking at this property, you must have a large group. This is perfect due to the 2 wonderful family spaces and every bedroom having its own bathroom!! The access to the the beautiful river and wildlife was amazing. We saw geese, an otter and a bear! We were able to walk to the main strip/ downtown area very easily. This is key because parking on the downtown/strip area is very difficult. Although you’re that close the woods and river behind your house lets you feel like you are in the country. The kids spent our “ down time” upstairs on the third floor while the adults could visit in the living/dining/ kitchen area. We were a family of. 11 and never felt too close to each other. It is very well appointed with everything you need. We throughly enjoyed our week there.
Excellent property located within walking distance of many of the local activities and the trolley line. Fantastic trout fishing and swimming feet from the porch. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay!
This home has a great set up for a large family group. The location on the water was perfect for cooling off after the days activities. Good proximity to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinberg and the National park.
Plenty of space for our extended family. We LOVED the access to the rocks/creek in the backyard - was a great way to entertain the kids while adults enjoyed the patio. Walked into town a few times - a little farther from main attractions, but enjoyed easy walk to Hillbilly golf and some shopping. Would stay here again!
Would rent this property again. The house was fully equipped with all necessities. The location was beautiful and relaxing on the River. I would choose this location verdus high in the mountains due to easy accessibility to the parkway yet still somewhat remote and peaceful!
Excellent location for walking to downtown gatlinburg. Wonderful view being on river. Excellent for seeing bears. Saw momma bear & 3 Cubs first night and huge male bear on our last night. (Saw him open our neighbors car door and help himself to some chips)
We had a wonderful time at the cabin with our family. It was just as described on the listing. We enjoyed the fact that it is walking distance to everything. We enjoyed the sound of the river, it was very calming. The owner is wonderful at communicating and answered all of our questions! I would definitely recommend. It was accommodating for all family members. We had an age range from a 1 year old and grandparents and they enjoyed it very much.
It was so nice to be near everything, yet it felt like we were tucked into a mountain somewhere. The house is gorgeous and clean! The interior is so beautifully decorated and the exterior is ideal! You cannot beat the riverside location. Combine that with a fire pit on a beautiful deck! It was everything we could have imagined for the perfect Gatlinburg getaway!!
Beautiful location and beautiful property. The kids had an amazing time by the river and we had a short and relaxing vacation. We will definitely come back.
Cool off in the river after your day of activities. Many great food options, liquor stores, and an actual tiny grocery store with everything you need within walking distance. When I come back to Gatlinburg I will be staying here again.
The house was in a great location and was beautiful. The owner was very helpful answering any questions that we had in a timely manner. Will definitely book again!
Our stay was fantastic at this beautifully furnished home on the River . Our granddaughters and many others enjoyed wading and fishing behind the house . We played family games and hiked in the Great Smoky Mts. The house is an easy walk into Gatlinburg. The patio and 2nd floor porch were great for looking and listening to the river . Myra is a terrific host and responsive to a few questions we had prior and during our stay. We plan to return!
This beautiful home was everything and more! The river, neighborhood bear and eagle, the lay out of this home were perfect.
