Debra is very responsive and helpful, so easy to deal with. The property is a comfortable space and very clean. Debra checked in regularly to make sure all was good. The location is a short walk to the streetcar line, and walking to downtown is an easy 20 minute walk. There is a busy street nearby and some traffic noise, but it wasn't much of a bother to me. I slept great.
This historic home is nothing fancy, but it's cozy, clean, and well located. I especially liked staying out of my car and walking to U of A, to downtown, and to shops and restaurants in the West University district. If there's any drawbacks, I'd say seating for the TV area is just OK, not great, and that there's no dishwasher. Minor issues, at least for me. Overall I'd say this is a comfortable place that offers great value. I'd be happy to stay here again. Host Debra is communicative and seems very nice.
Loved staying in this cozy, out of the way cottage in the midst of Tucson: quiet, secure, private. The hostess was easy to work with and contact when I needed assistance, the place was as advertised and I would stay there again.
Any problems were my own making, such as not reading directions correctly. Debra was a very understanding and cordial host. I could not have had a better stay. I liked the property very much. Gale Peterson
Stayed in this home while visiting our daughter. Had everything we needed and was very comfortable for the two of us. Debra meet us at the home upon arrival and was very friendly. Home was centrally located to campus and downtown and tucked away off the Main Street. We would stay there again!
Debra was a great host. Clean property, quiet, and well-equipped. My only slight complaint were the blinds that you had to fiddle with some so they would fully close. Otherwise, fantastic stay!
Large comfortable studio built in the 1920s. Great job with modernization while keeping the old style. Near good shoping and freeway access for longer expeditions. There are lots of books and pamphlets on nearby attractions. Debra, our host, met us at check in and explained how everything worked. She was responsive to texts and phone for additional information. There is no on site laundry however she offered her nearby home laundry. There is unit that adjoins but offered no problems. Cute small outside, great for morning coffee. We were delighted with the French press, whole beans and grinder! The wifi works perfectly. The TV has everything. Good air conditioner. Kitchen is well stocked. Great shower and bathroom. Good parking. When we return to Tucson we will seek out this VRBO!
Debra is a great host. The space is well-appointed with lots of TV apps and full kitchen. It is close to 4th Ave, the university and downtown. We would love to return!
The property is clean, convenient, and attractive. The owner was welcoming with no-full check-in and check-out. A very positive first-time rental experience.
This studio casita was perfect for our stay in Tucson. It's larger than pictures display and has a lovely courtyard. Location can't be beat for 4th Ave and downtown area. Debra is wonderfully responsive. We will stay here again.
Exactly what we were hoping for and as advertised. Very clean and nice. We enjoyed our stay and will probably look here again on our next visit.

Sweet Simplicity
We loved the studio space we stayed in. It's in an area we like to go to chill at night. Simple and has everything you need to make yummy meals for yourself. There's even enough space for 2 people to do yoga!
I really enjoyed the cool floor tiles.
Debra takes great care of her property and it shows.

Pleasant, efficient space in the heart of Tucson
"HomeAway" is the perfect trademark because during the month my wife and I stayed here it quickly became like a home to us. Located within easy walking distance from the University, 4th Avenue and downtown. Also close to bus and streetcar. We stayed for one month and although we did a lot of tourism in that time, we also spent a good bit of time just relaxing and enjoying our little house and garden. Our landlady was a pleasure to deal with, and we plan to stay here again the next time we come to Tucson. Although the space is compact, it is efficiently laid out. The kitchen is fully functional and we had a number of home-cooked meals. Boutique grocery stores as well as supermarkets are close by.
The only downside is that there is a park a few blocks to the north which attracts homeless people, and you might see them from time to time passing through the area. But still a delightful neighborhood to stay in, and I never felt in danger walking alone or at night. Bird watchers will enjoy the garden visitors. The Tucson Audubon Society is a short walk away.
The property is split into two units, so occasionally we had neighbors, both of whom were repeat customers. That's the kind of place this is. It's just been a couple of days and I already miss it.

About the host
Hosted by Debra
Hi, I have lived in Tucson since 1987 in West University neighborhood. It is a very vibrant place, lots of fun and exciting things to do all within walking distance. Besides hosting new and interesting people, I am a blown glass artist, and a Mom. I love to swim, practice yoga, river rafting, go for long walks or hikes, and work on new glass pieces when I can. Life is full and fun, especially with my daughter who loves the performing arts.
Being a host has allowed me to meet lots of wonderful people, some of them becoming good friends. I am always happy to share my knowledge of Tucson, my favorite places and anything else that will enhance my guest's stay in the ol'Pueblo...
Why they chose this property
I have always loved and lived in older homes. The construction is solid, unique, with great detailing that you don't normally find in newer buildings. I love the challenge of renovating places with good bones, preserving the old, and adding something new. This is a great neighborhood, West University, one of the oldest in Tucson!
What makes this property unique
The proximity to everything Tucson is a major plus. You can walk to most venues, and the rest are a short drive to get there. Easy access to I-10, walkability score of West University neighborhood is very high.
