Aqua Cove on All Sports Harper Lake


This Historic Cottage was completely remodeled down to the studs and just finished by a local master carpenter the winter of 2020. A
The exposed oak ceiling feature remains an original to the home.

NEW!!! An outdoor shower has been added July 2023!!

NEW!!! A large Cement firepit area has been added Fall 2023!!

The open living concept provides two bedrooms, a loft and sleeps up to 8 guests very comfortably. Enjoy the all new kitchen with an eye catching ten foot long island which seats 6-8 people along with a bistro table. The kitchen comes equipped with everything you could want.

The sunroom will quickly become one of your favorite areas in the cottage. It has wall to wall windows viewing the dock, lake and beautiful woods. The living room and sunroom have genuine leather couches and chairs that are as comfortable as they look.

The all new bathroom provides white towels for your whole family! Across the hall from the bathroom is a closet with a stackable washer and dryer.

Relax in the master bedroom which overlooks the lake. It has a BRAND new queen pillow top mattress ( October 2021 ) along with crisp white sheets and comfy pillows. Close the custom sliding barn door for some privacy. Sleep four in the cozy bunk room with two sets of twin over twin bunk beds. All brand new mattresses and bedding. Climb up the ladder to a small loft with a full pillow top mattress that sleeps two.

Enjoy the sunshine on all sports Harper Lake! Have fun swimming in the very clean spring fed water. Make memories with the provided paddle boat, stand up paddle board, kayaks and floating raft. Relax on the swing over the water or take a quick paddle over to the island with trails to explore. Fish on Harper lake or take a short drive to the Little Manistee river, Tippy Dam backwaters or one of the other many nearby lakes. Public boat launch is just around the corner from our place. The dock is long enough for two boats at the cottage.

There is much more exploring to do in any season! Walk the trails, mountain bike, ORV, or snowmobile! Half of Lake County is covered by state and federal land. The Manistee River Trail, North Country Trail, The Big M , Caberfae Peaks, Crystal Mountain, over 200 miles of ORV and over 300 miles of snowmobile trails are all in the area.

Place is just like it's listed. Everything is updated and clean! Heather was accessible and responsive but there was little need for contact because everything was great.Thanks Heather. We caught 25 fish on Harper. Mostly bass but about 7 pike. Nearby Pine river produced 8 prime trout on this trip.

Honestly, this was my first favorite place ever been traveling for the past 20 years very clean up to date. Everything was available in the house A2Z the homeowner was very polite and easy to contact the Homeowner for sure we go back there again and soon future.

Paradise cove

I must say this is one of the best places I have rented thus far it was even better than the pictures they do no Justice to this beautiful modern cottage on the lake the view was mesmerizing the amenities fit my family perfectly this is definitely a place you want to rent to just get away for some relaxation I would definitely rent here again if I were in irons Michigan.☺️👍👍👍👌🙏😊🤗💖

Amazing place to stay

This place is incredible. The pictures don’t do this house justice. It’s literally the total package when you are looking for a place for family to stay and enjoy the outdoors. We come to Irons every year during the Salmon run and we will definitely be coming back and staying here next year. Awesome property, awesome amenities, awesome owners. Can’t beat that.

Family Vacation From Florida

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at your lake house. The house was adorable and comfortable. The property was beautiful. We couldn't get enough of the beautiful lake. Coming from Florida, we were so amazed by the ability to swim and do water activities in the lake without the fear of snakes and/or alligators. Loved the paddle boat, paddle board and kayaks. Water was crystal clear. We can't wait to return in the future. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Beware! Greedy host.

If you want the host to return your deposit, you must wash the dishes, do the laundry and clean up so that the cleaning lady does not have to clean even though they charge you $150 as a cleaning fee. If you want relaxing vacation and not to worry about whether the host will return the deposit, choose another house.

First off you were return renters to our property & we were happy to host you again. Unfortunately our home was treated with disrespect this time around. We were sad to find our home in a total mess. Stains on towels, my comforter needed to be replaced due to stains. Our kayaks were left floating in the middle of the lake. Ect, ect. We had to pay for extra cleaning & replace items, which resulted in my taking a PORTION of the deposit not the whole thing. We ask guests to start the laundry ( pods provided ) start the dishwasher (detergent provided) and take out the trash, this is a common practice in all rentals. I’m disappointed that you gave me a 1 star review over this. From all our conversations you absolutely loved coming to Aqua Cove. I’ve never had anything other than a 5star review on this property. We pride ourselves on a CLEAN, WONDERFUL, PEACEFUL vacation rental. Please read our other reviews & don’t let this renter ruin your perspective of Aqua Cove.

Flawless Experience

I stayed here for a guy's weekend with some friends and we all had a blast. We were all very impressed with the amenities and have no complaints. The home is stocked well and very clean, the floor plan is great, the beds are comfortable, there are so many things to do in the area and even just on the property (there are games in the closets, the shed, a bunch of kayaks and a paddle boat, a fire pit, grill, and picnic table, etc), the lake and pontoon were an amazing time, and I look forward to coming back again. I loved the location at the end of the road and the general secluded feel of the home. There are markets and diners in the area (M-55, Kozy Kitchen, and the Dublin General Store) which were very unique and all were great. The check in and check out instructions were very clear and simple to execute, and everything needed to do so was provided. Thank you Heather, we will be back soon!

Perfect Family Stay

Our family stayed at Aqua Cove for three weeks in June. We would have stayed longer if we could have. The place is spotless and decorated beautifully. The kitchen is fully stocked with any equipment you would need to make a great meal, included the best "glassware" for the dock. The linens and towels were abundant and so clean. The host family also gives access to so many water and yard toys, you're family will never stop playing. The lake itself is crystal clean and very warm. The cottage is situated on a little cove of the lake that gets very little traffic. We were able to let the kids take the kayaks and jump from dock to dock without worry. Searching for wildlife and campfires were part of daily routines. I cannot say enough about every detail that was considered when crafting this perfect family spot! Thank you for hosting us. We can't wait to come back and make more memories.

It was nice, just wasn't for us

The property was okay. The reasons it wasn't for us are really our personal preferences but I'll note some things I wish I had known before booking. This property has a no smoking and no vaping ANYWHERE on the property policy. I am an ex-smoker and I do not vape but if I did I would have been pretty upset to arrive and read this. Usually, when I read no smoking I think that means indoors, not the whole property. The owner does note they have cameras to make sure you "follow the rules". The location was much further than I hoped from what we wanted to do and it wasn't as secluded as I expected. We didn't enjoy the lake as we had hoped due to the boat rental being unavailable, we tried the peddle boat but within 5 minutes of being in it, the seats were filled with water. The kayaks were a little intimidating for my younger teens on an all-sports lake with people whipping around on jet skis. The space felt small with just one bathroom and beds were just okay. I need a softer mattress topper and was excited about a pillowtop mattress but found these beds to feel more like a foam or hybrid bed so I didn't sleep well. We actually left early because my hips and shoulders hurt from the bed. Overall Heather was a good host. I felt there should have been better amenities for what we paid. Also, the extra work you need to do at checkout was more than I expected at that rate. Overall this felt like a typical old-school Michigan vacation rental, nothing super special.

I’m so very sorry you felt this way about our rental. We pride ourselves on making this space enjoyable & comfortable for all. We offer so many things, with the paddle boat & the multiple kayaks plus paddle board. Our place is in the secluded cove where these items should be easy to use. We also have no wake times on the lake so you may explore as ease, before 11am or after 7pm. I’m sorry to hear the beds weren’t comfortable for you they are all brand new mattresses. The no smoking/ vaping rule is common for most rentals & the property isn't huge so there’s plenty of space to walk around if smoking. We do have cameras on the property and we basically use them for security purposes only or if my cleaning crew alerts me to issues. This is all stated in our rental agreement. I personally do not offer boat rentals so I’m sorry that your boat rental fell through for the week. I wish you would have communicated with me about some of your disappointment. Again we pride ourselves on a beautiful updates space on a beautiful lake and we want everyone to have a great time.

“On Golden Pond”

My husband and I enjoyed our 3 day stay at Aqua Cove. Beautiful place to relax and take in the fall colors (which were in full display)! Favorite place was the sun room ~ the view to Harper Lake was awesome! We were blessed to have great fall weather. My favorite activity was pedaling the paddle boat - calm water, sunny and lake to ourselves. Very quiet area too! Thanks for sharing Aqua Cove!

Beautiful Property

Memories that will last a lifetime

We were looking to just get away from everything for a few days before getting back into the school groove and Aqua Cove delivered! We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cottage. The kids loved collecting shells. They were also excited to go swimming in Lake Michigan in both nearby Ludington and Manistee. Thank you for your hospitality!

Didn't want to leave!

We had a wonderful time! It was everything we expected and more! Very clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials, this made mealtime so convenient. The linens and beds were so cozy and comfortable. The loft was definitely a hit. The living room & sunroom were very comfortable. Many games were provided indoors and out. Spike ball is a new family favorite. My favorite parts were early morning and sunset kayaking. The boys enjoyed the paddleboard and we were able to rent a pontoon boat. Delivered right to the dock, so easy and convenient. Thank you Heather! Truly a wonderful stay and we definitely plan to come again.

Absolutely perfect getaway

Our stay was perfect. The house is very clean, comfortable, and well stocked with everything you need. Beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels and blankets. The lake is perfect. Shallow enough for wading and clear enough to watch the turtles and fish. We caught bass, bluegill, and pickerel from the paddle boat and kayaks and right off the dock. Water lilies were blooming. The lake is quiet and peaceful and perfect for paddle boarding and kayaking which we did constantly. The view from the house and the decks is fantastic. Easy to communicate with the host. We will rent here again for sure! I can’t recommend this place enough and plan to stay again.

Perfect getaway

Our family loved our days at Aqua Cove. The weather didn't cooperate and the lake was still frozen, but the decor and views plus the easy drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes more than made up for it! The kids loved the bunk beds and the loft, plus the owners stocked the closet with books, coloring pages, games and toys. My husband and I loved the open kitchen and million dollar views. We had a terrific three nights and made many lasting memories. We hope to return soon !

We have been Enjoying Harper Lake since childhood. We loved it so much we wanted to be able to enjoy it year round with our family of 6, so we purchased & remodeled Aqua Cove. Since we are a busy family, we still want everyone to enjoy our HAPPY PLACE as much as we do when we aren't able to be there. We hope you all LOVE it too.

We are available during your stay via text, or calls. We will give you complete privacy, but we are available to answer questions and take care of any issues you encounter.
Our housekeepers and handyman live in the area, so they are available to assist you if needed.
